We expect to see ourselves reflected in the community we surround ourselves in but the beauty of fandom is the diversity. Fanfiction has been loved and cherished longer than my lifetime, longer than the lifetime of most of the people reading this. As we grow and learn our love for things and skills only grow. I have read beautifully written fanfics written by 19 year olds and equally by 50 year olds. Published authors have spoken about their love for writing fanfiction of their beloved fandoms. It's sweet our little corner of writing and drawing on our experiences for the sheer love of it 💖
