It’s not often that Adam really set foot on trails. They tended to freak him out a little much for comfort, but he was feeling a bit adventurous today. Besides, the park had some hustle and bustle seemingly going on - so at the very least it made him feel less alone.
That is until he actually got on the trail itself. Almost nobody was walking it. At least the sound from the park was audible? It would be for a little bit, anyway. Eyes perk up as he sees one other person, slightly ahead of him. Oh thank God. He calls out softly.
“H-Hey! Hi– do you…mind if I walk with you? Kinda gives me the heebie jeebies, being by myself…” He gives an awkward chuckle, rubs his own arm sheepishly.
“Huh...?” He could have sworn that there wasn’t anyone else on the trail with him. It was the main reason why he took that specific trail home; People rarely went on it, and when they did, they rarely got that far from the park. And yet, someone was calling out to him. Right after he dropped the illusion, too... It left him in a rather awkward position.
He probably should have said no. Or pretended he didn’t hear, and just run farther ahead. But, at the same time, the stranger was nervous...
Tobias frowned for a moment, stopping to look back at them. “Uh... Sure, I guess so? But I’m going a lot farther than most people do.” Might as well give him fair warning, after all. “I...erm... I live out here.”
