New Work Orders || Golden Moon
It's good that he's in a good mood! Menodora grins and jokes back, "no, I imagine not. Not when the residents are as an exciting cast as us."
She's glad that he's every bit as nice as she remembers, even if he knows her as Mena with the sunny disposition. She does remember Felix being a comfort to her and them sharing a visit or two. And if she didn't host, it was her bringing a dessert down to the lobby to be given to him by reception.
Still, with her memories returned and her fully informed, she sincerely hopes that her affection is not misplaced. The truth of the matter was that Felix's brother had poisoned her and Menodora wasn't entirely sure of Felix's awareness of the situation. Was his being kind to her a favor for the trouble of it all? Or was he genuinely just that nice?
It's not as if she could ask. That draws on another person to Mjaunie's dilemma, and she'd rather not do that to Felix if he was earnest.
Until further notice, she supposes, he's innocent of all knowledge. That hope in mind, her friendliness continues.
"As for myself, I'm doing alright," Besides the political mutiny and lives being on the line, of course. "And my unit is as well, for the most part. A little bit of a draft with the window lately, but I'm a light sorceress. Cold doesn't bother me much."
She smiles sweetly. And, really, she never put in a work order for it. It didn't need to be addressed at all. Menodora barely thinks anything of it when she says it so she just moves on.
"I've been baking far too much these days, but that's how I've always been." She pauses, wondering just how much like Mena she sounds now. "Actually, you wouldn't by chance be free for a moment, would you? It just so happens I got carried away again and have a few too many tarts needing to be eaten again."

A draft? Oh, no ma'am! Not on his watch! Light sorceress or not, he would not have anyone in his building going cold!
He was about to invite himself in to take a look, but then she sweetened the deal - literally - with the mention of baked treats. "Mena, you know I never say no to your baking," he said playfully. "How about I take a look at that drafty window while you make us a cuppa, and then we can enjoy some tarts together?"
He had plenty of time to get to that broken vent after. Besides, being too hot was far less dangerous than being too cold at this time of year.
