I'm hurt and I'm not allowed to do anything about it, mostly because I hurt others along the way, and now there is no redemption. I just want you to know I'm trying. I'm trying my damnedest to make it right. But... no matter what I do it'll never make up for the past. It haunts me. It haunts me every minute of every day. It's the reason I don't sleep at night. It's the reason I can't get out of bed in the morning. It's the reason I stopped eating. It's the reason I abandoned everyone. It's the reason I chose to cease my existence. I hurt everyone and now I suffer the punishment from everyone including myself, and my punishment is worse than anyone else's. I am my worst critic. And once again I'm hurt, and keep hurting myself. I can't stop the pain I left behind me, therefor I put nothing but pain ahead of me. I do sincerely apologize.

I used to write for fun...

The Tumblr community helped a whole lot...

One day it all just stopped...

I stopped writing...

I stopped talking to people...

I stopped logging in...

I'm not quite sure why it happened...

I guess I just got busy...

Or my depression/anxiety finally beat me...

But I came back...

It's been what three years???

I want find passion again...

I want to find joy...

A Single Mans Actions

“Another one barkeep” Fletcher mumbled, flicking his finger into the air.

The bar tender fills the frosty glass and slides it across the slick counter top.

Suddenly a soft voice pierces the silence from behind Fletcher “That looks refreshing. I’ll have one too.”

Fletchers entire body tenses as the bubbly girl jumps onto the stool, two away from his own.

“Your arms take up too much space I can’t sit next to you.” Says the girl, with an illuminating smile that stretched across her soft face.

Fletcher continues to stare down into his glass, ignoring the beautiful girl.

“Thanks, barkeep!” Shouts the girl as she grabs the glass and excitedly extends it into the air.

Fletcher remains focused on his glass, nervously nudging it slightly back and forth in his hand.

The girl takes her first drink, nearly consuming the entire beer, then set the glass down. She starts tapping her finger anxiously, disturbing the silence of the room. Then she suddenly jumps back to her feet.

“Well, you’re a lively bunch.” She squeaks as she poses for a faux salute towards Fletcher. Then starts stomping her way towards the door.

Immediately after the girl turns toward the door, Fletcher notices a name sketching onto his left hand, just below his index fingers knuckle, one letter at a time. S. Y. L. V. I. A.

Fletcher jumps to his feet and breaks the sound of the girls rhythmic footsteps with a deep crackle of his voice.

“Wait.”

The girl halts and slightly leans her ear toward Fletcher.

“You forgot to finish your beer. It’d be awfully rude to let it go to waste.” Fletcher says softly, with a yearning in his eyes.

The girls face lights up with excitement as she rushes to reclaim her seat.

Fletcher looks down to his hand, relieved, to see that the letters vanishing.

The girl polishes off the last of her beer and calls for another. Then she throws a bright smile towards Fletcher. Fletcher grins back.

“What’s your name?” Fletcher asks

The beautiful girl quirks her head and says “Oh, I’m Angie.”

WIP snippit inspired by an old Irish blessing.

They all lifted their mugs and shouted.

“Cheers!”

But before their glasses met, a booming voice from behind them exclaimed.

“Here’s to your coffins! May they each have six handles composed of the finest silver. May they each be carried by six of the strongest men. And may your coffins be constructed out of the finest wood, from a hundred year old tree… That will be planted tomorrow!”

As the group turns to find the captain standing behind them, with his mug raised, they lift their own and proclaim.

“To a hundred years!”

A Letter to the Love of My Life

To the love of my life,

I have never truly spilled my love for you in a way such as this, nor has anyone ever made me feel the way that you do. When I am at my weakest, you are there, with your hands pressed firmly upon my back, pushing me forward. I can’t thank you enough for that. To see you sad, is to break my heart, knowing that every thing you do is to ensure my happiness. Though years have passed, I am still in awe by your presence, your voice still brings me comfort, and the love you give still makes my heart race. When your head is pressed against my shoulder, as you squeeze my arm tight, I am overwhelmed with joy. Even on the darkest days, when you are by my side, the world never seems scary. Many times you have told me I am brave, but I only am for you. You only deserve the best, perhaps better than I, but for now, I am beyond grateful to have you, in hopes that this will last forever.
