I am a witch who has been practicing witchcraft for approximately 6 years. You’re probably here for the witchcraft content. Below are some disclaimers to know, before you follow.

Disclaimers:

Whenever I make a post stating things regarding witchcraft or magic in general, what I say is what I believe. I may forget to make that clear or I may use language to imply it’s fact. While it may not be my intentions to state my beliefs as fact, I am human and will probably slip up. No witch can really prove their beliefs, their UPG, to be fact. It’s important to remember that! Even if we may at times use language to suggest otherwise.

I always believe you should do your own research. You need to forge your own path. I’m happy to answer questions or to direct people to places to learn but I also really believe it’s important for you to also seek knowledge out on your own, without guidance. It’s important for you to be able to build your craft without outside influence so to speak.

As I said above I have been practicing witchcraft for about 6 years. I would say I have been performing magic my whole life, but I didn’t know that at the time! My main areas are nature based magic, throw in a handful of chaos magic & dabblings into spirit work.

Witchcraft is a very strong and important thing in my life. It’s apart of who I am. And I know that’s true for many of us who practice the craft.

it saddens me how predatory and scammy practitioners can be, here on tumblr but especially on tik tok, which has made me wary of posting my tarot readings online. i think it’s irresponsible to prey on audiences who are susceptible to culty concepts like “twin flames” and a lot of manifestation content out there. especially since many of you seem so young, i hope anybody who comes across my blog or work recognizes tarot as a tool rather than unequivocal truth.

I have been on a bit of a hiatus however I will be slowly coming back; and with new content.

I’ve been on a journey in my Craft, and sometimes that means just being in it and not being immersed online as much.

I’ve had a great shift in my Path and I would like to begin to share that soon. Likely not until the beginning of next month, however that’s not far away!

Witch Tip: 🛑 Stop Performing Love Spells On Abusive People! 🛑

Seriously, please, I’m begging you. Do not perform love spells on your partner who is abusive to you. Perform a cord cutting and get the hell out of there!

It WILL NOT have whatever desired effect you’re trying to go for. It WILL NOT make them treat you right. It WILL NOT make them stop abusing you.

PLEASE protect yourselves. PLEASE leave abusive people. Performing love spells on these people will make your life WORSE. Please.

I’m considering offering tarot readings again once I’m feeling better (no longer sick).

I really miss doing them! I’ll probably do something like free 1 card readings and anything in depth will require payment.

Sigil magick users: Do you find that your sigils are more effective if you forget them or remember them?

I haven’t found personally one method to work better than the other for me, and I’m curious to see what it’s like for others! Thank you.

We need to stop using white sage. As in, full stop, the end.

I'm serious. It's endangered. The indigenous people who need it for ritual, ceremonial, and medicinal purposes are starting to have a hard time with it.

There are so many alternatives. There are types of sage that aren't white sage.

I think we, collectively, as non native Americans, need to just stop getting white sage, period.

Someone was asking what fly wings symbolize and what it means to find them, but they described termite wings to a T, so I said hey that sounds like termite wings, so you may want to get that checked out.

They deleted their whole ass account. Didn’t say anything. Babe I’m sorry! 😭

Sometimes things don’t have a magickal meaning; sometimes things just have a mundane meaning…like you may have termites.

Sometimes, when our mental health affects our worship, we miss out on opportunities to learn from our deities. We also miss the guidance and help they can offer us. Take a deep breath and reach out your hand to them, even when you are anxious or depressed. They are patient, loving, and understanding. They have seen humanity at its worst and they never left us. Let them help you through these tough times. Believe me, it can make all the difference.

Soak the jar in warm water overnight. Mix oil and baking soda into a paste. Put it on the sticky areas and leave it for a couple hours. It should wipe off easily after that. The recipes I saw for this and tried used coconut oil specifically so idk if other oils work the same way

Any oil will work! I actually discovered this trick when I realized that skin oils affected the glue. Then I tried hand lotion, and then butter from the bottom of the dish. (Never mixed it with baking soda, though.)

To newbies: if someone claims that their belief or experience is just how it is, test it (unless it’s like dangerous, could bring you harm or might be illegal). Do it yourself. See if they might just be full of shit.

Sorry not sorry but I wish more newbies were willing to put in the work to actually learn about witchcraft rather than asking everyone to spoon feed them every little tidbit of information.

Do you think your spell work and Craft will be successful if you aren’t even willing to put in the work to learn about witchcraft/magic? Because I really don’t think you’ll find much success or joy in the Craft if you aren’t willing to put in the work. I’ve seen it happen first hand, too.

If you need help learning how to research, that’s one thing! I know that a lot of people aren’t taught how to research things. But please, you need to stop asking more experienced witches to spoon feed you every drop of information out there! There’s so much to witchcraft and more is developing all the time, it’s impossible to really be like “start here!”. It depends on what you want to be involved in, how you want to go about developing your own Craft, forming your own beliefs and opinions.

Some of us have topics we do consider starting points or the foundation that should make up anyone’s Craft, but that’s all just opinion. We all got different ones. There really aren’t solid ways to go about practicing witchcraft. If you need assistance in learning how to research; ask!

and we are what exactly? everything we interact with is a jigsaw puzzle of atoms. everything that effects or heals us in made of atoms and vibrations. negative ions from moving water affect our mood so why wouldn't crystals?

I own a rock shop. A lady came in about three years ago and asked me which crystals are best for healing, I gently explained that they didn't have powers or healing properties. She started crying. She had late-stage cancer and no medical treatments were working. A crystal-healer had told her the only thing that would save her were crystals, then proceeded to convince her to spend $2000 on what realistically was only maybe $50 worth of Arkansas Quartz. She had two months to live, and was being strung along by scammers who gave her false hope in exchange for her life savings. I had indirectly just told this woman she was going to die, and it was hitting her all at once. Unfortunately, stuff like this is a regular occurrence. Maybe that’s my worst story, but it’s something I encounter on a weekly basis at least. Rocks, Minerals, and crystals are cool as hell but they don’t have powers. They aren’t mystical or special. I’m sorry for going off on a rant about this but it’s frustrating and it can ruin people’s lives.

I remember visiting a rock shop a while ago and seeing someone buy a ton of rose quartz because he thought it could cure epilepsy... it's hard visiting rocks shops sometimes because I always see people buy rocks for reasons like this too. I wish warnings and disclaimers were more obvious.
