I got beaten by the London public transport system yesterday.

I got 3/4 of the way through my journey - started crying - didn't know where to go and didn't want to ask anybody. 

So I turned around and went back home.

A blog is a soap bubble, meant to last for a moment or two

I read this in 'the stylist' mag while on the tube. I like it because it makes the whole idea of blogging easier for me. Blogging is simply a way of capturing fleeting moments and feelings in time, and that's it. Fears of permanence and full stops swirl in my head, but it's actually all a bunch of soap bubbles nearing their bursting point.

we can be heroes, just for one day

I went to the David Bowie is exhibition at the V&A on a hungover Sunday afternoon. It was inspiring.

The song 'heroes' always gets me.

Seeing footage of Bowie playing it live on a massive screen, plus being hungover, plus realising I have all these amazing galleries at my fingertips for the next little while - definitely brought tears to my eyes.

There was a definite resolution to experience as many exhibitions as possible. I must. remember. this.

Raymond Vineyard

The one vineyard we made it to in Napa was an amazing fantasy land - we reversed back to our school-girl selves and played photoshoots.

Outside felt a bit like we had stumbled upon the mad hatters tea party, but the inside felt dark and menacing - like we had walked into a grand family estate where the rooms were perfect in their presentation, but dark secrets lurked beneath the surface...

We discovered a deserted bar... and felt like we were transported back in time. I desperately longed for the bar to be filled with people in flapper dresses and tuxedo's; quietly scheming plans of greatness and exchanging flirtatious looks. 

It was great fun.
