there?? is something i'd really like to?? say???????????? but instead of making a declarative statement, I??????? instead type short bursts of words followed by several question marks???? even though i'm not asking a question? what's up with that??????????

Not pointing out anyone in particular, just noticing that this is a common trend, well... everywhere, not even just in the ring of dangan mafia, but online in general. Why have so many people started putting vast amounts of question marks where they don't belong (in the middle and at the end of declarations)? I wouldn't even bother to point it out, but to me, that tendency seems to have a condescending ring to it, so I'd prefer if more people would use periods at the end of opinionated statements. You can own up to your opinion and say it with certainty! I guess this is a request towards that end.

  "Jashin-Sama isn’t real. And don’t toy with me; you of all people should know I’m not a idiot." He said, closing his eyes and placing them into a sign. She’s not in that stupid pain-form, where I get hurt from whatever she does to herself.. Gotta make sure she doesn’t take any of my blood. But what am I supposed to do? If it’s the same Hidan, then I already know all of her moves..  "I’m not gonna mess around, this time." He mumbled, placing his hands into a different sign, kneeling down onto one knee and staring at her with angry eyes. You’re going right back to your hole, Hidan.. He thought to himself, as shadows came out from each side of him, whipping closer to you.

More and more- was this guy trying to piss her off? Saying this type of shit… it was enough to make her blood boil. " ‘This time…’ You’ve gotta be fuckin’ kidding me… I was joking when I said I knew what the hell you were talking about." He had formed a few swift handsigns- she noticed that- but where she expected something to happen (maybe lightning or fire or a few shuriken), mere shadows stretched across the ground, and she didn’t pay enough mind to them even to dodge.

"What the hell are you doing? Gh…" Hidan scowled, clenching her hands into fists and reaching her hand behind her back to grab for her scythe. “Hey, hey, who the fuck are you, even? Seriously, moron, you’ve got me mixed up for someone. I’ve never seen you in my life- but you’re pissing me off!"

He sways, his smirk still there as he begins to lean towards her. Without warning, he reaches up and pokes her in the stomach, a fit of little cackles ensuing shortly after. “Relaaax, Hidan. You weren’t this stiff when I first came to you, so why now?" he purrs, bare toes gliding over the ground with a wispy black smoke trailing from them as he goes around her, stopping behind her.

Well, when he first came to her, she hadn't exactly worshiped him. That came after- as a result, more particularly. 

"Stiff? Aha..." Hidan laughs, and it has an uncharacteristic hollow ring to it, like something practiced. "I'm definitely relaxed." Is he finding her awkwardness amusing? Dammit... that's hardly the face she wants to put forward.

She doesn't move when he touches her but turns to face him when he spins around. "Yeah, like hell I'd be stiff about some shit like this. Anyway, the fuck you want here? You need anything from me?" Shit... maybe that was a little too forced casual.

  His grin fades to a soft, knowing smile as he nods. “Yes." His gentle fade doesn’t last long, and he’s grinning like the mischievous little fuck he really is, “I came to the mortal world to see if I could entertain myself for a little while. It’s working pretty well so far, and it’s nice to see you again."

Hidan can feel her heart racing as her eyes linger on Jashin’s form. There it is, veritable proof- but it’s an awkward situation to, for the first time in many years, speak with somebody deserving of her willing respect. How should she respond? Bowing… or would that be too awkward? Speaking in her usual sloppy manner, letting slurs and curses slide off her tongue with abandon, surely wouldn’t be appropriate- or wouldn’t he mind? Her indecision is clearly evident in her troubled expression and her uncharacteristic stiffness.

"Um… you’re bored?" Stupid question. “Then, Jashin-sama, what… kind of things do you enjoy doing?" Stupider. She probably sounds like she’s trying to make idle conversation rather than serve him properly.

  "I don’t know why you’re a woman.." He spoke with obvious increasing anger, his face right in front of hers, his light brown eyes piercing. "And I don’t know how you got out of the hole I dug for you.." He added, right fist balling. "But I’m gonna send you.." 

Punch, fist connecting with Hidan’s gut. "BACK!" He yelled, all the anger and sadness that he’s been keeping pent up for so long coming out in a fist. "I said that your stupid god isn’t real.. And I’m not changing it." He closed his eyes, then flew back, using his right foot as leverage to jump off it. He waited for the womans rebuttal.

Hidan stumbled backwards, wincing in surprise rather than pain at having been punched out of the blue. (Well, perhaps it wasn't so out of the blue, given how obvious Shikamaru was being about his bewildering problem with her.) 

"Whoaaaa, what scaaary eyes you've got. I might cry." She jeered, throwing a rude hand sign Shikamaru's way. Her smirk faded, however, when he mentioned her god. That was  somehow more offensive than being physically assaulted.

"You know about Jashin-sama?" Her right hand lifted to grasp the silver rosary hanging at her collarbone. "Well, obviously not, since you just said he wasn't real... piece of shit. Maybe I should sacrifice you for that comment?" Her cheeks burned hot with irritation. "Gh... you make no sense. I don't know who the fuck you think I am, anyway..." Even more curiously, what he knew about her seemed to be slightly but not wholly accurate.

  He stood his ground as she came closer to him. Despite her invasion of personal space, he was intrigued by her offer. "Self sacrifice? How does one do such a thing like that?" He began to listen a little more intently to her words. Surviving a self sacrifice didn’t seem like a very possible thing to do-especially in the way that she’d described it. Was she really telling the truth about her religion? She had even offered to show him the heinous act, and it didn’t seem like something one could fake. “Yes, I demand that you show me this phenomenal act of self sacrifice."

Oh, he agreed. Whatever; she wasn't about to be a pussy and retract her own offer. It wasn't as though she'd been bluffing, in any case, she just couldn't resist being a bit of a show-off in front of people who were bound to be unfamiliar with an existence like her own. 

Hidan withdrew a sleek metal pike from within the folds of her cloak, shrugged it off of her shoulders to fully expose her chest, and didn't hesitate a moment before shoving the weapon into her flesh, past her ribs and through her heart. The familiar pain, deep and piercing, affected her immediately as blood spurted out of the wound. 

"See?" She asked, smirking arrogantly as she twisted the pike in its position. Her eyes widened and took on a crazed look that lingered for just a few seconds. "Well? Don't tell me you like watching something like that, whore." She teased.

  "Tell me something.." He said, clutching at his fists and looking at the ground, before closing them as tight as he could with a angrier look on his face. "Hidan.. Did you ever spend time in a hole.. covered in rocks?" He asked her plainly, finally looking up at the Female Hidan. "Did you ever kill someone from Konoha, named Asuma..?" His tone was getting angrier and angrier. He finally began walking toward the woman, each step of sandal on gravel getting more and more heavier, with each slam of the ground.

He... was pissed. That much was obvious. Hidan could see the anger on his face and in the weight of his steps, and he started rambling about some nonsense she didn't understand in the least- a hole? Rocks? Asuma? Was he making fun of her? 

"Sure I did. I killed the bastard, then I went and took a rock bath." She answered with a sneer, shrugging, her own tone mocking his questions. "The hell do you care?" Did she look like somebody he recognized? What a mysterious appearance.

  What the fuck are you talking about? Akatsuki robed, chest pushed out and a wide eyed, insane look on the womans face. He didn’t know how but he knew; it was the man.. now a woman, who killed Asuma. But even so; he wanted to make absolutely sure."What’s your name." He demanded, a angry stare on his face.

Inquiring about her name... that would be odd for a bounty hunter, wouldn't it? If he recognized her from the Bingo Book but was too dumb to remember what she was called, then he was truly a shitty bounty hunter if he purported to be one to begin with. Despite her best efforts, spending so much time with Kakuzu had taught Hidan a thing or two about the business.

"Hidan." She answered simply with a shrug, neglecting to add a surname of any kind. "Why? Seriously, what's your deal, anyway? I don't understand you." He looked... pissed? Had she done something to him?

A grumble came up from the pony-tailed boy, a cross over his chest with both arms and a stare given to the woman. "You look.. familiar.." He said, trying not to be angry at a woman who seemingly did nothing to him. Yet.

"Familiar?" Hidan stopped and turned to face Shikamaru fully, regarding him with scrutiny. Had she seen him before...? Somehow, looking at his face made her stomach turn. Maybe it was a premonition of some sort, since his face wasn't so ugly it could invoke nausea just like that.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" She adjusted the scythe tied to her back as she shifted in position. "Oh- maybe you read the Bingo Books? Are you after my head or something?"
