Trump supporter charged with hate crime after attacking JFK airport worker in hijab
Authorities charged a Massachusetts man with hate crimes Thursday after he allegedly kicked a hijab-wearing employee at JFK Airport and shouted “Trump is here now … he will get rid of all of you!”
57-year-old Robin A. Rhodes of Worcester, Massachusetts, was at JFK Wednesday awaiting a connecting flight, according to a press release from Queens County District Attorney Richard A. Brown. Between 7:10 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., Rhodes accosted Rabeeya Kahn as she sat in her office in the Delta Air Lines Sky Club lounge.
“Are you [expletive] sleeping? Are you praying? What are you doing?” Rhodes said. He then allegedly punched the door, which hit the back of Kahn’s chair.
Kahn asked Rhodes what she had done to him and he responded, “You did nothing but I am going to kick your [expletive] ass,” before kicking her in the leg.
When she tried to leave the office, Rhodes allegedly kicked the door again and blocked her from leaving.
Someone eventually intervened, allowing Kahn to leave the office as she ran to the front desk.
Rhodes then followed her and got down on his knees and began mocking Muslim prayer and shouted:
“[Expletive] Islam, [Expletive] ISIS, Trump is here now. He will get rid of all of you. You can ask Germany, Belgium and France about these kind of people. You will see what happens.“
Rhodes has been charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree menacing, first-degree harassment, all with hate crime specifications.
If convicted, Rhodes faces up to four years in prison. Read more

Google doodle honors Bessie Coleman, the first black woman in the United States to earn a pilot’s license
When Bessie Coleman took flight in 1921 she didn’t just break the glass ceiling — she soared tens of thousands of feet above it.
At the time, Coleman was the first black woman in the United States to earn a pilot’s license.
And as she ascended into the sky that day, all of the people who doubted her, who discriminated against her for her race and gender, would become smaller and smaller until they disappeared out of sight.
“The air is the only place free from prejudices,” Coleman once said.
On Thursday, Google commemorated Coleman’s 125th birthday with a doodle showing her plane doing loops and turns to spell the search engine’s name. Read more

We do not, in fact, know what gender would look like if it were not constructed around heterosexuality in the context of patriarchy.

“We want women to be able to come in and feel completely relaxed,” ~ Quhshi said.
Quhshi also noted that while Le’Jemalik was created with Muslims in mind, “women of all faiths, races, and ethnicities” are welcome.

This woman’s art project powerfully illustrates the lasting impact of sexual assault and how it complicates all other kinds of intimacy
When 19-year-old Emma Krenzer came home from the Women’s March, she decided to share her latest art project with the world. The piece, which was completed for a class at Nebraska Wesleyan University, is a powerful personification of the marks left by sexual assault
feminism never taught me to hate men but it did help me realize that i shouldn’t prioritize them over women & it turns out that alot of men consider that to be hatred lmao.
Nope. Here’s three reasons why:
STIs like HIV, chlamydia, and gonorrhea are all passed through body fluids. Those include pre-cum, vaginal fluids, and rectal fluids (as well as cum and blood)
Other STIs like syphilis and herpes are passed through skin-to-skin contact with an active infection
And since pre-cum can contain sperm, pulling out doesn’t prevent pregnancy either
So you can pull out, but STIs can still stick around for you and your partner.
Pre cum is just the fluids that are left over in your penis. That could be pee or cum. As long as you peed at least once ore twice since you last came, there’s low chance of pregnancy from pre cum.-but doesn’t protect from std’s or stis. Just wear a condom to be safe!
