my wife finally brought our car in to be examined because it's been having some issues lately + needs to be reregistered, and the total costs to repair all the things it needs to pass a safety inspection come out to around $1,500 USD. my wife, my boyfriend and i are all pretty low wage workers, and my work has been cutting my hours the last few weeks so i'm making less than i usually would lately, too. this is a big pain considering i already don't make enough to cover rent entirely.
it was able to cover about $500 of it, but it was denied for financing for the rest (it's going to reapply). i'm going to set my goal for this to at least $500, if we manage to get there and financing rejects us again i'll up the goal to try to get help paying off the rest. i need my car to get to work, since the public transit system would bring a 15 minute drive to about a 2 hour one.

Hello, my name is Dahlia and I am in a very bad position right now in multiple ways.
So to start off I am a disabled Trans Woman living in the state of Florida suffering from severe depression that is barely kept under relative control by the like dozen medications I am currently on.
Me and my fiance, who is also Trans are currently living in my recently passed away father's apartment, but are in the process of a lengthy legal battle with the board of the community who are threatening to kick us out, and we have no where else to go.
My fiance is currently unemployed and so we are both getting by on nothing but my disability payments from Social Security, and with the chaos going on in the government right now I am terrified of losing it and being left with nothing.
Plus add on top of that the fear of being Trans in the US, and especially Florida right now, and I'm literally scared for my life, haunted by dreams of ending up in some kind of concentration camp that get worse the more things progress in this country the way they are...
My depression and fear have gotten to the point that I am scared to leave my apartment, and I'm pretty sure I am developing agoraphobia.
I just so badly want to get out of at least this red state and maybe to where my aunt lives in New York where maybe I might be a little safer. Or any blue state really. But I really cannot afford to do that, so I'm here asking for help. 2,000 may not get us out of state, but it is something to start with that would help us out a great deal. Please, if you could help out at all, even with just a few dollars, it would mean more to me then you can possibly imagine. Thank you.
If anyone is willing to help as I try to keep my Etsy shop afloat and manage my disability benefits income, I have a gofundme here for ongoing business costs. I would really appreciate it, since right now I'm having trouble affording treatments like physiotherapy, counselling, and massage.
The next step in the journey to get my baby boy Mars the care he needs and deserves is to see an Internal Medicine specialist, and his vet believes that since all the bloodwork and testing so far has been inconclusive, he will likely need to have an endoscopy and biopsy. His specialist appointment is on April 30th, and we need help with financial mutual aid to be able to cover the costs.
For the initial appointment with the specialist, we have been quoted $397 for the appointment, ~$800 for an ultrasound, and we have not yet received an estimate for the bloodwork they said they will want to do. The endoscopy and biopsy that I’ve been told is likely what will be ordered will be $4,000-$5,000. We do not have the funds to cover these costs after paying thousands of dollars for Mars’ care the past several months, his insurance is denying to cover our claims (we are in the appeal process which will not be completed until well after his appointment), and we do not qualify for Care Credit. Mars wouldn’t be here without the care, support, and financial mutual aid that we’ve received throughout his journey so far, and I couldnt be more grateful.
