I love that Nicholas isn’t ashamed of his background at all. Like, he’s so excited to show Seiji the place he grew up in

Even having trained at King’s row and the Halverton(?) camp salles he still thinks the place he originally learned to fence is awesome.

Attending a rich boarding school in a sport like fencing (not cheap), Nick gets wealth and whatnot shoved in his face a lot. But that doesn’t seem to affect him

I feel like it’s a common trope where someone who comes from poverty is surrounded by wealthy people, and they’re kinda embarrassed about where they come from? Which. Understandable, people are like that in real life. But it’s nice to see otherwise

Fence characters: Books vs Comics

I noticed that the books diverge from the comics quite a bit, not just in terms of plot but also in terms of characterization. I thought it might be fun to highlight some of the differences, so I’ve made a chart comparing the comic book versions of some of Fence characters with their book counterparts.
