Thinking more on it We bury the dead was so fucking ass dude. Absolutely nothing of a movie.
Which is a shame because conceptually its a really fucking cool premise. Obviously as a huge fan of zombie stuff something actually interesting and new was promising. But the whole thing was so paint by numbers and just nothing it ruined that.
As a zombie movie fan I totally agree! It has an amazing fucking premise!
Biowarfare, the zombies getting more hostile the longer they're back, the list goes on. They even had notable actors!
Yet it was just so… meaningless.
idk if this is an usamerican thing or not but it always blows my mind as a small european country resident that yall have many names and types of apples???? what do you mean its not just red yellow or green??? why is it so complicated??? who is granny smith????
'whats your favorite apple' 'red' 'no i mean like what type' '??????' actual conversatiom i've had with a mutual from usa
THIRTY TWO??????
Listen that doesn’t even account for all the weird shit local farmers are getting up to.
May I present the best apple:
the world is so big and beautiful
I don’t like raw apples but I like them cooked so I’ve experimented a bit. I learned that in medieval Europe people used to put apples in like pottage and soup and whatnot so I tried putting them in soup and they’re pretty good. They make the soup slightly sweet. I basically chop them up in little pieces and sweat them like an onion. Pretty good in chicken soup.
Apple shavings or apple juice are really good for making Japanese curry taste a little sweeter too!
I’ve always wondered how often mice escape in research labs and what the mouse escapee protocol is and if there are mice that become like laboratory urban legends and end up in the walls fucking things up.
The lab I worked at had covers to block underneath cabinets and doors to prevent escapees…
They however forgot to put one on the inside of the testing room door… which was hollow…
Dude hopped out of his cage, climbed up into the door and then refused to come out.
It is so interesting how often guys who try to manipulate their spouse (or long term partner) into an open relationship against their will try to use the justification/guilt trip of “I didn’t get many dates in high school/college and I want to make up for lost time.” or whatever. Which is essentially saying ‘You are pretty much the only woman on earth charitable enough to fuck me and love me and I don’t think you’re enough.’ and then she is coerced into the open relationship and women still find him repulsive, even more so now that he is a grown man with a wife trying to hit the clubs. I can’t imagine having something good with somebody for YEARS and deciding to ruin it because I did not get laid in high school.
To clarify, I don’t think open relationships and ethical non-monogamy is wrong in any way, the problem is that a lot of people (and straight men specifically) are not doing it ethically. Trying to coerce their partner into an open relationship despite their partner’s protests, already having an emotional affair with someone and trying to open the relationship so they can fuck them guilt free, lying to potential secondary partners about their relationship status, being jealous and having double standards for their partner’s romantic relationships, etc. Opening up a previously closed relationship and doing it ethically requires a lot of clear communication, self-reflection and logistical discussion and most people are genuinely incapable of that.
picked up pokémon go again to have more motivation to exercise but its had the funny side effect of now every time i see someone else with their phone in their hands i think "woah, i wonder if theyre also playing pokémon go right now......" as if that has been normal and widespread at all since like 2016.
There's actually a group that meets regularly to walk around my neighborhood and play pokémon go!
That said, I honestly thought it was a tour group at first, because it was such a large group and I live near a pretty historic district of my city, but I only recently realized what they were actually doing like "Oooh, the Pokémon go gyms! Right, that's a thing still"
they… they poofed him……
Not the first hungry man to be poofed.…
Finally got to see Wake Up Dead Man and the filmography was honestly so amazing.
Judd telling us the story, the pause as he's writing out the death scene, the details as we caught up to the present, and Benoit calling him out on the obvious lie.
And I don't think I saw enough talk about the intensity of the scene with Louise. The urgency felt at the beginning of the scene where they're trying to find out a key piece of evidence and you can feel Judd's anxiety, watching Benoit get huffy about waiting, and trying to cut in over a very talkative person. Then it all so abruptly slows down, gets so quiet, and you know there's been a shift to the conversation before Judd even has to step out and put his priest cap back on. The raw, utter hopelessness in Louise's voice.
I was so invested throughout the whole scene, I cried. It was overwhelming yet so real and grounded in a reality that wasn't just another bit about rich or privleged people caught up in Wick's version of reality. This was just a woman looking for support during a very real and harsh truth of feeling alone with her mother's struggle.
fan of songs about fucking cars. like i know its metaphors whatever but when its like "baby push it full throttle play with my gearshift ride me all night" you are fucking the car. i dont make the rules.
Lightning McQueen really awakened some people.
Just because the new thing is better than the old thing, it doesn't mean the new thing can't still be awful ass dog shit too. It's just less awful ass dog shit than the old thing.
But it's still awful ass dog shit and there needs to be something "better" that isn't AWFUL ASS DOG SHIT too!
Sounds like not my problem and I don't get paid enough to make it my problem

I just saw her, I swear! She was moping the edge of the hall, following it around the corner.
But when I follow around the corner? Gone.
I don't think I'll be able to live down only laughing at "Beginning surface level penetration" in the first Austen Powers movie.
I just finished watching fleabag, and oh my god that was actually so good!
I'm still thinking about it honestly. That ending was so satisfiing! It feels like it's been so long since I was so content with how a show ended.
Taxes are so mean.
