I want a little slice of life game as Grace on Erid, almost like stardew valley or animal crossing type of thing. You could meet different eridians, grow crops to expand his food variety, decorate a house and his enclosure, teach pebbles, hang out with rocky. I think I’d spend an ungodly amount of time on it.

Cause my first thought was barbarian but that feels a little too simple for him, then I thought maybe a paladin of vengeance but I feel like that implies he wants to do good, which he does not, which lead me to some kind of war or trickery cleric but I still want him to be more of a physical fighter, last thought was monk cause you know force shenanigans but again just not really his vibe?

Idk I just wanted to make him in bg3 and now I’m thinking about this too hard lol

Has anyone made a mod that shuts up all the background people in act 3? Cause they’re driving me insane it’s so overstimulating. I know you can turn background sound down in settings but I don’t want any other sounds gone, just the thousands of side conversations that are constantly happening.

Why does Gale's "good ending" if you don't date him imply that he gets back with Mystra.

Why does the grown ass woman who intentionally isolated 17-year-old Wyll and trapped him in a relationship get to hang out in your camp (and potentially sleep with you).

Why do the writers (head writer and literally Wyll's personal character writer included!) have so little respect and tact when talking about their characters' traumas only when they are male and their abuser is female.

Nobody would find it funny if the Christmas animatic had Astarion blush at a picture of Cazador. Nobody would think it was "a good resolution" if Karlach saved and then dated Gortash at the end of the game.

And the characters aren't treated well outside of their relationships either, the writers love to laugh when people call Wyll boring or Gale annoying. I dunno what's worse: all the extra in-game dialogue calling Gale pathetic, or the fact that Wyll barely has any additional dialogue at all. With the additional factors of Wyll being the only Black companion and Gale being the only one with a disability that is somewhat "inconvenient" to the player (because God forbid a person need help), it just comes across as implicit bias from the writers themselves. To create these representations and then shit on them for traits that not only may be relatable to your audience, but traits that you gave them.

When Neil accepted the award for best performance he told people who relate to Astarion that "you are not alone." It's a beautiful sentiment, but paired with writers fetishising Wyll's abuse and saying Gale's best ending is the one where he kills himself, it comes across as though for POC, the chronically ill/disabled, or male victims of women, the statement does not apply.

Bg3 mall au

I had one funny little thought about how my current durge would be hot topic buddies with shadowheart and now can’t stop thinking about a silly little mall au so here’s where I think all of the bg3 character would work in a mall

Shadowheart

She works at Hot Topic, the obvious but fitting choice (she could maybe work at Sephora or Starbucks, I feel like there’s some queer emo crossover there, but her working at Hot Topic is what started this all so)

Wyll

He either works somewhere “basic” like Banana Republic/Abercrombie (but the nice employee not the judgy one) or he works at Spencer’s/something similar and his dads mad about it (OR he’s a shirtless model at Hollister and his dad is ashamed of that, I’m picturing this scene in fresh off the boat)

Karlach

Build a Bear, 100%, she’s their best employee when she remembers not to swear in front of the kids (I could also see her working at Zumies but I really like Build a Bear for her, I also can see her having worked in hell, aka an Amazon warehouse, before escaping to the mall)

Gale

Ideally he works at some kind of B&N/book store but idk if those are really in malls so alternatively he works at the Apple Genius Bar or the Lego store (I could also see him working at a B&N near the mall and then spending an odd amount of time visiting, he realized he needed to leave the house more and talk to people besides his cat)

Lazael

She’s hard cause I feel like she’d hate the mall and she’d never work anywhere she didn’t want to so I’m still not sure where to put her, best I can think of is she’s working as a very dedicated security guard or at some kind of peloton/workout store (I feel like the githyanki could be some kind of fitness cult)

Halsin

He’s similar to la’zael where he definitely wouldn’t like the mall (for different reasons) but he could definitely work at some kind of earthy smoothie place or one of those kids play zones (also maybe one of those random hippie stores that pops up, but I’ve never seen one last long in a mall)

Astarion

He’s the judgy Sephora employee who’s eyeliner was probably done with a knife, he could also work at one of the new/flashier designer stores (I was trying to think of some kind of night job but idk any that would fit him) I could also see him having to work at like Starbucks after quitting his really messed up job with Cazador and absolutely hating it

Jahiera

She works at that one old random hair salon or is a good but very done manager at a large department store who’s worked at the mall since it opened (her kids also work at the mall and no ones knows til they show up and start arguing and she has to explain that she’s not verbally harassing customers again)

Minsc

He’s a staple at the malls Auntie Ann’s and Boo is his ratatouille, everyone knows about him and the blatant health code violation but the food so good that everyone’s willing to look the other way (I could also see him just randomly popping up and working at a different place every week)

Minthara

She is that designer store employee who does look down on you the second you step foot in the door, a little more old money designer rather than flashy, I can see her specifically at a Neiman Marcus (and she’s definitely a manager, a bad one)

Halsin joining our camp to see that the guy who played with the tiefling kids is now a devil, some pasty elf is biting people in their sleep, a githyanki and goth girl are slapfighting, there's a tiefling on fire, and that wizard just ate a pair of gloves.

Wyll is so fucking funny and no amount of acknowledgement about this could ever be enough. He's literally walking around being so casually hilarious completely under-the-radar. He calls Halsin a "thick hunk of an elf". He once accidently implied that he was fucking an ogre instead of killing it and then proceeded to absolutely stumble his way through explaining. He gets excited by Lae'zel talking about carnal pleasures. He canonically tells his pessimistic thoughts to shut the hell up. He volunteers to babysit Shadowheart's hypothetical werewolf babies as long as she gets him gloves. He tries to give Gale a hero moniker like his own. He jokes that his father, the Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate, can't spell. He calls Astarion "Mister Fangs". He makes up storybook chapter names for his own fucking adventures. As a child he got chased by the Flaming Fist for stealing fruit, nearly drowned trying to find mermaids in the harbor, and almost successfully broke into the Counting House. He reads monster erotica, and is not ashamed to tell you about it. He ranks eating pudding among life's greatest moments. He will, without shame and completely unprompted, meow at you. He is 24 years old.
