Have been working on refs for Artfight (my username is fern-fleur btw), though most of them turned out chopped so I’m not gonna post them😭

Quick sketch of my dnd character :}
I need an evil advisor so badly I’m not even kidding. That’d be so awesome, just me and my sickly-looking royal advisor dressed in black that totally isn’t plotting against me. I’d take him everywhere and treat him kindly idk
no dude it's so cool how attached you are to that character who is singled out and ostracized due to the external monstrousness that clashes with their internal spark of humanity. and i love how drawn you are to themes of horror and love, nature versus nurture, otherness, isolation, and the abject. i bet you have normal feelings about your own personhood

trade with @fernfleur !
it's my first trade in tumblr and I really like it, ty for working together! 💞💓💖
Absolutely stunning art!! Thank you so much <:}
hiii!!! found your account yesterday at the doodle community and I am OBSESSED with your art style (you might've noticed after I interacted with your posts like three times in a minute). literally so gorgeous.
would you mind doing some art tutorials? especially faces and the general anatomy (I mean the shapes you use for poses)
Hii! First off, thank you so much!! I didn’t expect that post to get so much attention, I’m glad my art resonated with you and other people :,}
Secondly, I’m still figuring things out, and I’m not super satisfied with my knowledge or skills to make an art tutorial. That said, I do use a ton of references! I personally prefer statues as inspiration/references rather than photos. I like how fluid and expressive their poses are. Plus, their faces are usually pretty “geometrical,” which makes it easier to understand proportions, if that makes sense. My sketches are usually really messy too, I feel like that helps keep the pose from looking stiff.
As for faces, I aim for semi-realism, but I usually end up drawing eyes a bit small. also they’re often heavy lidded or half closed.
Here’s a sketch I drew recently, alongside some face proportions that I personally follow :)

Friendship can be just as intense as romance. Romance can be just as intense as friendship. There is no one over the other. There is human connection, there is the strength of the bond that varies based on the specific circumstances surrounding each relationship. There is love - it may be platonic or romantic or anything in between. There is love, and it simply presents different forms.
Love doesn’t come with a hierarchy.
Maybe I really should start posting more silly stuff here besides my art… anyway, look at this beautiful picture I found on Pinterest :)

Beneath the veil of bramble thorns and ivy locks, a tall figure stands in the cloister garden of the palace. Soft daybreak light outlines their intricate crown, their delicate features and hands stained with soil. They murmur in riddles as their fingers brush against a sapling of sage:
“Sip the dew, my velvet friend. The rain was kind tonight. Let’s pretend the world will always be this soft.”
I might finish this one day
