Always one to stare, the android peered (however unbidden may BE) at the man opposite him. That is, especially at the man’s ARM— the most notable one– trying to determine if it were underdeveloped prosthetics or mere armor.
…And nothing more was done. He simply looked on, undaunted, until he might grow bored of it or distracted, or even told to stop.
Unbidden, maybe, but in this case at least it’s allowed; indeed it’s reciprocated, and with an interest much more lively than is usual.
(he sings, the whole of him, chords of steel and chrome; even the jagged discords where damage has been patched and repaired can’t completely mask it. He hasn’t heard this sort of sleek harmony in years; he’d forgotten. He’d forgotten.)
Golden eyes follow the unmoving gaze to their fixed point of interest, and stern features ease into a slow smile; a lift and a twist of the limb in question is enough to call the clicking, ticking mechanisms beneath the pauldron to rapid wakefulness.
“Not the most elegant of solutions, is it- but it serves its purpose. The man who made it always swore he was embarrassed of having to engineer something so unrefined.”
