❇ the girl stares into the cup of tea with a melancholy gaze, lids drooping and brows comfortably raised in that expression that sends most away from her in confused discomfort. maybe that’s the way she wants it though, she prefers the peace and quiet of the club room over the bustling hallway and classroom chatter. with a glance up at the ghostly boy, sakura rolls her eyes. he really is quite like a cat - a kitten more so, whose energy has lasted longer than anticipated and left fingers rubbing temples.
she doesn’t enjoy the things he does, finds them rather crude and distasteful in nature. her pity for the creatures that endure his wrath is endless. but it’s not like she can tell him to stop, nor does she think it would really work if she tried - especially when it comes to the leader of the seven mysteries that with even the mention of name excites tsukasa to a degree that sakura finds worrisome.
“ i am quite content - boredom would require an interest in your little games. though i do wish you’d keep random students out of this, it’s not like you’ll listen. ” she sips from the warm teacup in her hands, eyes closing in an effort to ease her fatigue. “ isn’t it quite typical for siblings to fight? your degree of fighting, however, is quite menacing. i’d hate to be on the receiving end. ” the green haired girl peeks toward him. of course she wouldn’t understand. she can’t quite grasp the idea of familial relations but she at least can gather that the twins are far from ‘typical’. “ i wouldn’t say i enjoy it - it can get rather ... chaotic. which is exhausting. all of this is really more like a means to an end. ”

Nix couldn’t help but laugh as Mei held her in her arms. The silverette nearly slipped and leave it to her wife to quite literally catch her. “Well you won’t hear me complaining, Mei~. ❇ “ for me? ” kagura’s eyes shine as they widen, fingers reaching toward the soft stuffed animal that the other girl has given her. her heart beats quickly in her chest while she squeezes its small paws in her own fingers. “ i’ll have to add this to my collection. but since you gave it to me, i’ll definitely give it a good place of it’s own, okay? somewhere that it won’t get lonely but where it’ll still stand out. ”
a thought rushes through her mind and she looks at the floor they’re seated on. it’s not that she doesn’t enjoy being alone with tohru, but there’s definitely an unspoken discomfort - perhaps it’s just her though. she can’t imagine tohru being uncomfortable in any social scenario, kagura’s understanding of the girl is that she could fit in anywhere. she’s envious. she forces herself to continue speaking, though, hoping that the brief silence won’t develop any strange feelings in the air. “ would you like to help me give it a name? ”

when the vision hunt decree began and the news of a resistance broke out, yotaka pledged full obedience and loyalty to the shogun which allowed him to keep his vision for the time being. he would use it to lead forces of her army alongside kujou sara. there were moments when his ability to believe in what the vision hunt decree stood for began to break, he never faltered in his faithfulness toward the shogun. internally, there was a constant struggle between his ideals as a vision holder and follower of the archon of inazuma.

some time during the confrontations between the shogun’s army and the resistance, yotaka was injured in battle and was forced to stay on the sidelines in order to recover. after some time away, he was shocked to hear the news of possible peace and relieved to hear the vision hunt decree was finally over.

those in the tenryou commission are known to tell stories of the young child who would travel to narukami shrine day after day, praying to the archon for hours at a time. his loyalty to her knew no bounds, even as a young child as he would wish for the nation’s peace and prosperity. on one of his trips up the mountain, he took a misstep and found himself dangling at the edge of a cliffside. the teen was able to pull himself up from the dangers of falling, breath lost from the endeavor. he didn’t turn around, nor did he go home, after such a frightening encounter. instead, he continued to run up the mountain and fall on his knees on the steps of the shrine. he didn’t even know that he had been gripping something under white knuckles the entire journey up the mountain until the shrine’s head priestess asked him how he got what was in his hand.
personality
yotaka has a very stern personality which made him quite the candidate for leading an army. however, he’s still patient when needed and prides himself in taking all things into consideration before striking down against someone or something. yotaka is not spiteful, nor does he hold a grudge. he believes that anyone is capable of change if they really want it to happen. he is extremely loyal to what he believes in and considering he believes in the shogun, that is where 110% of his loyalty lies.
appearance
yotaka has always been pampered, even in his adulthood he enjoys to keep up the youthful glow of his skin and hair. his long hair is a silver (almost grey) color that reaches down his back and is often compared to a lion’s mane. he has sharp eyes that match the color of his hair with long lashes. although he is one of the strongest fighters in inazuma, one would never guess based on his physical build - he looks rather tall and slender and lacks any defining muscles. plus, he hides whatever muscles he does have beneath layers of clothing. this is what his fit looks like because i literally could not find anything remotely similar to what my mind was thinking so i had to do it myself.
just a quick little update that no one asked for~ finals are next week and i’ve got a bunch of essays i need to be doing so writing juices will be rather ... drained. plus i’m working full time at the moment so i just sleep after my schoolwork. i’ll be very low activity until about mid december (i’m already low activity i wish i wasn’t) when my term ends and i get my winter break @ work (bless working in a school). this goes for all of my blogs! :D

mei nyan is the daughter of a general and sister of a high ranking officer of the millelith so it was no surprise to anyone when she grew into a position of her own. what did shock the masses, however, was her strength as well as agility in battle. she could easily win in a fight against her opponents in mock battles and had little trouble in the real ones while she did her rounds.
she grew up being told of stories of many generations ago, when a defender of liyue had succumbed to the karmic debt he possessed, leaving a family line with the reminders in the sickness that would be passed down each generation. there were of course lucky ones who could avoid such, but when she was 16, both her father and brother's illnesses peaked and she was left alone. knowing her duty and feeling that the only way she could fight against the sands of time for herself, she took her father’s place leading those who were to defend liyue without complaint.

she caught the eye of ningguang and the other qixing and was often invited to the jade chamber as a guest, building important relationships not just in politics but in personal friendships as well. unfortunately, she was but a few years into her time as a general when she began to grow very weak at the most inopportune times. it was the illness that she’d known would come for her sooner or later. she had just hoped for a few more years before the onset of fatigue and constant migraines began.

it was with the help of ningguang that she was able to find a new life in heyu tea house. she keeps her illness as a strictly need to know topic as she hates to be pitied more than anything else in the world. but it is difficult to do so when she has healers coming to visit her more than once a day, checking in more than mei nyan thinks is necessary. a host at the tea house, she was quick to grow into the new role, a natural at small - talk and keeping guests happy.

mei found her vision soon after she found out that her father and brother had begun to grow weak. she was nearly 14 when her brother’s migraines started and she could tell that her father was growing weaker with every passing month. it was then that she decided that she would climb the ranks of the millelith, defending not only liyue but the honor of her family. for if those stories her father spoke were true, she would never let them pass the walls of the small home occupied by the three. her relentless training would not only show in the sweat on her brow but also in the vision that sparkled under the moonlight.

mei nyan has very pale hair and eyelashes, striking some as quite shocking upon their first gaze. her hair is tied into two loose and small buns on top of her head, some bangs fall over her forehead and frame her face while the rest falls over her shoulders and behind her back. she often has an expression that seems to be stern with sharp eyes, but that usually means she’s thinking. her vision hangs where the knot of cloth sits on her waist. OUTFIT INSPIRATION HERE.
personality
mei nyan can seem to be very standoffish, feeling different from the crowd even when she was a child. some of it came from the strange stories her father told her but more than that it came from the awe that she could inspire in others at her natural skill, that of which she assumed was normal being raised alongside a brother who was very much the same. while in some cases she does see herself as more important than others, thinking she should enjoy more than a typical citizen after what she’s done for liyue, she is also very humble in her actions and will always stand for the safety of the people around her.
her illness is something she finds to be quite the burden, refusing to accept the fate that has been placed upon her. she often is known to wander around liyue without notice to her healers and without taking proper medicine beforehand, only to be found passed out on a rock somewhere. still, she won’t let herself be held back.

a young child reminded of how important it is to be transparent with his feelings, he was raised with ideals that would be engrained in him for the centuries to come. this kindness, though, is usually masked by the fear that comes when he finds himself face to face with those he’s SWORN to protect. lids of light blue eyes widen and his hands cling to the bag strapped to himself. “ i’m headed there myself. i can accompany you if you’d like. ”
there’s a part of him that is curious, familiarity of this stranger who had been resting under the sky making jia grow rather restless. he’s sure he’s met her somewhere before, but he’s not sure if it’s in the time that he’s forgotten or if it’s in the haze of the time he remembers with a blurred filter.
