Finally updating the PLAYLIST again! Bunch of new songs from a variety of different Producers, with (hopefully) a good amount of different genre's!

Feel free to recommend Producers to add to the playlist if they fall into the criteria below by sending me an ask, replying to the post, reblogging with a caption, or sending a fanmail. (is that even still around? god i'm old)

Criteria for a Producer to get on the playlist are:

have under 20k views consistently on a majority of their songs

Have no songs over 100k views

have under 10k subscribers

songs must be in Japanese (sorry non-JP producers)

use vocal synths in at least 90% of their songs as the main vocalist(s)

I really do just keep getting attached to the most unloved vocaloids.

I'm contemplating CHIKA.

I have contemplated Chika... Even though she's deeply unloved, I don't think I'd have a use for her. Her range seems very limited, despite her fandom page stating she has a wide range, and can't fit into many songs unless specifically tailored to her lack of range.

She reminds me a bit of my girl NANAMI (voiced by 15two), in that I'd have to change the key of the off vocals to give her even a chance at giving the sort of sound i'd want/need out of her. At the very least NANAMI is better at picking up pitchbends in a natural way than Chika is, so she can express and emote better than Chika can with extreme pitchbends and other tuning additions (GEN, BRE, CLR, OPN, etc).

Her pitches are very drastically different from one another, which leads to her sounding Not Great when getting outside of her comfortable mid-range of C3-ish (on the vocaloid piano roll. In normal range, she'd be in the C4 area). Her high pitch comes in too soon when shifting up, and her low range comes in too soon when shifting down. If they had configured her mid-range, default voice to be a liiiittle wider in what it covered, she'd fare a lot better than she currently does.

That being said; I do like her lower pitch vocals for slow songs, or something that requires a sad vocal and remains in the lower pitch range/can comfortably be shifted down an octave w/o female vocals getting ruined by how low it would become.

It's so sad she's so.... idk how to express it how I want to, but meh, mediocre, middling vocal, because her design is super cute and hearing her raw samples her CV did a great job voicing her.

working with sachiko always makes me forget that other voices just arent as naturally expressive as she is.

and also that her notes are way longer than other vocals are, so they stretch much farther even at max velocity.

they provide such perfect low harm/backing vocals, and blend into a crowd harmony so well and rlly make it sound full

Hooboy yeah I was into Hetalia back in the day. I only ended up getting out of it when Homestuck came around and that instead took over my brain when I was 13 LOL

And yeah same. It coincided with a lot of my early anime fandom. Like Soul Eater, Bleach, Inuyasha, etc. An absolute classic late-00s, early-10s fandom, that.

Like the ones on the train? С: cuz when I was playing act 2, I got the impression that his hate to lowbloods was forced you know to avoid attention to himself because he is limeblood. So I think he can be friends with someone with lowbloods. What do you think about this??? С:

Hi! It's been quite a long time since I last engaged with Hiveswap, so I don't know/remember any of the BG characters from Act 2. I only really remember the friendsim/troll call trolls.

That being said though, you're free to interpret him and his relationships as they pertain to Hiveswap however you want! I firmly believe that, once an OC of mine is in the public eye, anyone who becomes attached to them can do whatever they want with them (Short of commercial use, obvs LOL).

I will say that in his original concept (and the one that would be present in Abodebound had I made it to the trolls' introductions) was that his distaste for lowbloods was indeed a way to hide- As well as the influence the higher bloods he saddled up to had on him. To emphasize this, the contrast between his Hiveswap and Abodebound iterations was that in ADBD he is a lot less hemoist as the highblood he attached himself to for safety doesn't carry those sorts of views about lowbloods. But in Hiveswap, they never met, so Idarat is negatively influenced instead.

But, yeah! He can be friends with whoever you want him to be. He is The People's OC, y'know? lol
