Tortured Poets Department Lyric Video Easter Egg
Since their self-titled debut album, the 1975 has capitalized and put spaces in between the letters of their track list.
They also have some tracks where they have no spaces
Similar to how this is spelled out in the TTPD music video.
I do think it's interesting how she says "Who's gunna troll you like me?" Matty is a massive troll online. This album is kind of th eultimate troll if you think about it.
Fortnight MV vs. Style MV
Interesting... makes me want to deep dive back into 1989 era and the re-release.
The Manuscript
You created a story with you at the center. Through talent, diligence, and a multitude of factors in and out of your control, the Story permeates collective consciousness. Imagine your entire personhood depended on you forwarding your own myth. You are the Story, and everyone is reading.
Unlike an author, a removed storyteller, you cannot separate yourself from the Story. Your entire being is the flame, the heart, the lifeblood. Without you, the Story would cease to exist. Any move, whether intended or accidental, becomes a part of the Story.
Pressures rise. Readers now want a say. They want to dictate the next move, the next rising action, the next plot twist. Commentary becomes cannon. Your actions are cast in stone. You are Truman show, however, there is no cloudy blue door with which to exit the simulation.
You start living for the sake of the record. The Story. You are a hero and a villain. The foil and the triumph. The duality that lies within you cannot ever be truly understood. You are a martyr to the life you could have lived unseen. You have accepted this fate for the sake of the Story. For the sake of the legend, the epic, the folktale.
This is my reading of The Manuscript, informed by Dear Reader.
