✂️️<< “Oh, lighten up, Satsuki, it’s just a joke. Besides, we have been on a date before. Only difference was Mako came too.”
A quick tightening of her red scarf before she crossed her arms, smiling warmly.
“A date doesn’t have to be something mushy and romantic. We don’t know each other too well beyond what we shared at Honnouji and, well, we were trying to kill each other half the time. I want to get to know my older sister better. That sounds like my kind of date.”
—≪⚖️≫”I see your point. Doesn’t change the fact that this is still going to be awkward.”
A half laugh, as she moved to stand beside the other.
“I’m bringing a small amount of money with me as well, in case we find something interesting we wish to buy. Also for food. I will let you lead the way, however.”
✂️️<< “Hah, well, you don’t to be so formal about it. But I guess that’s just you, huh?”
She looped her arm around her sister’s, tugging her along, an enthusiastic laugh breaking her lips. This felt right. The only blood family she had left. Mako was as good as her sister, of course, but . . .
“And it’s only awkward if you make it awkward, sis.” She added, squeezing Satsuki’s forearm.
