Took me a bit to reply, but to put it simply it's known for drawing... unsettling parallels between it's world and very real instances of antisemitism including the holocaust.
I'm not comfortable enough reading it to say if those portrayals are critical or not. I'm generally weary of it in general. Someone with more knowledge on the series may give you a better answer.
