“Sounds fun.” He winked at her, knowing she’d probably accuse him of being disgusting or something like that. But it would also make her smile, because he could see the one that was threatening, just at the corner of her mouth. “That sounds like a terrible idea. Who would you cuddle while you sleep then?”
He leaned over and kissed the top of her head. “You need to get used to it. Because I’m going to spend the rest of my life making sure you’re happy.” That was a big part of his life plan, making sure that she was happy and content, no matter where they were. “Nothing’s going to go wrong.”
“I wasn’t talking about the fun kind.” She replied, barely even trying to fight the smile anymore. She should have expected him to say something like that. Not that she particularly minded the idea, it just wasn’t what she was trying to say at the moment. “I could crash in Angel’s bed. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind.”
She blinked back more tears, feeling the lump in her throat grow and hating how she couldn’t seem to stop it. “I don’t deserve you.” She said quietly, slipping her arms around him and holding on. He treated her so much better than anything she had ever done for him deserved. “Everything always goes wrong.”
