How do you stay motivated as an Artist when it feels like you’re going nowhere?

It’s a serious issue with me lately. I just don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere with my art despite always doing things to improve. It just doesn’t feel like I’m improving at all.

As someone who wants to make it a career in the future (that I’m working hard on) this has become a big issue for me. I can’t get motivated to art because I feel like I’m stuck in the same spot constantly. And an even bigger let down is spending hours on commissions for the person to just not come back for the finished piece at all. I can’t grow at all like this and it’s just becoming really tough.

I’ve been busy away this weekend (and monday) and I was going to get through the asks tonight, but work ran super late (I got home at almost 11 at night) so I’ll probably get stuff out tomorrow now. Thank you chaos beans for being so patient!
