another thing about kim manners is that when they were filming that episode where cas sends dean to the past to meet his parents, manners told misha collins he shouldn't be sitting on dean's bed to do that because that's too gay. and like, it's a good thing misha didn't listen but I can't even be mad because it was, indeed, gay

I mean what was the other option, standing in front of dean’s bed and having his dick be over his face like 😭 Dean having an Angel sit on his motel bed but with his back turned towards him was a good choice, it’s intimate but ominous I think castiel brings contradicting elemenets together in interesting ways :)

speculations aside overall i really enjoyed the staging (?) of castiel's character so far, again there's many contrasts both within himself and between him and his environment, i really like the tension between his divine presence and the run-down, hostile environments he's being placed in. angel in a shabby motel angel in a warehouse angel on your bed but not faced towards you all of the blue light that is illuminating but also cold and then his unkempt looks it's fun :)
