• Reading, whenever I get that random burst of motivation I like to pick up my books that have been sitting on my shelf for who knows how long!! My favorite genres are fantasy, or retellings of old fairytales!

It’s strange thinking about someone and dreaming about them the next night.

I am not so sure why it took so long to realize. But the reason I’ve never had a crush on another is because I have never been able to form a strong enough connection with someone. I’ve formed connections with people, but as friendships and none have been “my type.”

I think with this I do not see them as a sibling or family member like I typically do my friends. I am able to see past that and see them as “my type” of person…

I have found people attractive in the past while I was still in school. But because I never formed a friendship or strong connection I never formed a crush. Maybe I am demiromantic instead of aromantic.. but I do not want to admit that to my friends. That would be an indicator of something haha.

It truly does take time to fully understand your self. Don’t rush.

I hope that if I am able to get into my top picks for University, gain that scholarship, and everything works out. That I’ll be able to start a new for myself.

- Gain new friends.

- Have a friend group that I hang out with a ton.

- Have more time to focus on me. Rather than get distracted.

- Find a calm job.

I feel as if leaving the only thing you know, it helps you grow. If I stay I’ll continue to feel like I’m on the sidelines. Like I’ll never find a friend group that actually feels like a tight knit group. I have one, but we clearly are not all close as we used to be.

I want to take apart in hobbies with my new found freedom. I want to grow in the career I find myself on.

I do not care much if people are upset or sad that I will be moving so far (if everything works out). Me and my friends never hang out or do stuff. It’s not any different living in a different state. When we do stuff it is typically online.

Yeah, I know people will try to guilt trip me but that shows you do not want what is best for me. You want what is best for you. What makes you feel the best.

Hoping that my top picks work out. I want to go far. Away to start over. By me leaving it changes barely anything.

It is scary when your future lies in the hands of your parents.

I worry I will never be able to go to a big university like I want to.

Or I might not be able to study out of state.

Or even study abroad for a week.

My life is going to change this year that is for sure. But I hope we will be able to move forward.

And I hope I will still be able to follow the path I’m trying my best to follow.

Time will tell. And that time is coming closer.

It’s hard wishing someone was your person, when you know that will probably never happen. Though there is so much life to live. And plenty of others that could be that person.

I think what I was feeling wasn’t romantic attraction. It was just the happiness of being thought of, and someone taking their time to talk to me. Even if there was a hint of attraction, I have other things to focus on. If I ever did care for relationships. I vowed to figure more things out first.

Leaving things behind can be hard. But sometimes that is what is necessary to regain your old self back. Or at least a part of it.

Trying my best to keep myself motivated and do more positive things with my days.

- Such as, stop checking my phone for texts I’ll never get.

- More time reading the things I’ve been meaning to.

- Watching movies and shows that have been sitting there collecting dust in my watchlist.

- Start exercising during my free time.

- If I want to be on my phone I need to avoid social media or spend a minimum amount of time on those apps.

- Cleaning my room as needed and stop beating myself up over one thing being out of place.

I need to be kinder to my body and self. Spend more time doing the stuff I enjoy and less time letting my worries and dopamine addiction take over my mind. I don’t talk with many people other than family, work, or school people nowadays so during the time I’m not with family, working, or at school I need to do things that make me happy and enjoy my time alone.

I’m trying to see myself not as lonely but alone, something I have chosen. I do get lonely sometimes but rarely because I manage to fill that void by doing things to keep me occupied. I’m glad I have family and my acquaintances (not sure if they consider us friends…)!

Today I started a book I’ve been dying to read and walked for almost an hour. Baby steps!
