Hey, I noticed that white watch- is it the polar rcx3? Do you like that watch for running, or would you go back and get the nike gps+ instead? Is the external gps unit a hassle to carry around since it is a separate device?

yes! its the polar rcx3 and im in looooooooove with it, i bought it a year ago and worn it every single day since! and jst had to change the battery once! i havent used the gps that much but yes, its a separate device which i may understand can be pretty annoying, nevertheless the pulsometer works really well! and it gives you motivating messages after each workout which is great! :)

Bikini time is nearly here!

Summer is just around the corner! And theres no better motivation to stay on our fitness journeys and focused on our goals and aims than by getting ourselfs some cute bikinis (plus it really makes us much aware of how little is left!).

I'm always on the lookout for cute bikinis which are comfortable but at the same time original and making quite a statement and this ear I've found the perfect ones! Here are some close ups of my favorite ones for this season! They really are stunning, can't wait to wear them all :)

This colorful babe is from the stunning brand of blueglue. This one is made from neopreane and has the cuttest cheeckiest bottom part plus a stunning colorful pattern!

[AUQUA] swimwear has also got such amazing neoprene bikinis (yes, i'm currently obsessed with neoprene as you can see! haha but it fits sooooo well! Plus the quality is amazing). This one is reversible which makes is awsome as you've got 2 bikinis in 1 :P

This Neon the Lable pattern is amazing! Its so vivid and summery, I just love it! Plus the high wasted bottom is actually really flattering and great if you want to make a statement in the beack or pool and show of your curves!

I can't wait to wear this pale pink when I'm a bit tanned in summer!! It's so simple yet stunning and flattering (And comfortable!). The cheeky bottom is ever so cute too! Summer Tease also does this model in many other cute colors, red, white, black...

Yes! This le belété has cute little tigers on it! The best thing is that you can't spot it at first and then your like, hey! are those tigers on your bikini! love it, and loove its electric blue!

Square bars! The power of food in effect.

I am always on the lookout for new products, specially sweet snack if I have to be honest (As you may know I have a terribly sweet tooth!), and to be even more honest protein bars. Yep. I may have a slight obsesion with these... so when I came across square bars on instagram I was instantly drawn by their chocolaty flavours (amazing cocoa crunch, cocoa almond and cocoa cocunt, this last one is A-MAZING!). But not only that... here's the good part they are totally ORGANIC PROTEIN BARS! (gluten, daily AND soy-free) and still containting 11-12g of protein (which we fitness junkies really appreciate!).

So basically you get to enjoy a super yummy naturally sweetened chocolate protein bar which furtehrmore has amazing nutritional values! (what more can you ask for)?!

I love cutting mine up into little pieces and letting it melt over my oatmeal! mmmm :)

Hi Fiona, Im currently getting back into shape after taking a long break. What does your weekly schedule look like for exercise? :)

I weight train 4-5 days a week, my routine is split up into muscle groups being chest and triceps one, back and biceps, shoulders and abs and then I'll do leg day (which I sometimes do twice a week!). I also try to fit in one day of urely cardio and if I have time and feel like it will do 10-20min cardio after weight training! :) xx

Hi Fiona, first of all I want to say a big congrat to you for your amazing instagram & tumblr. I do running for years and I'm recently back on fitness and squat stuff, And to be fair my legs are in biiiiiiiiigggg pain after each session during 48h. Could you tell me exactly what complement you eat/drink, and when, what for, what brand? I wanna start proteins, but Whey scares me (don't wanna get like Mr Muscle). Plus what do you mean "eat every 2-3h", what kind of food? xxx Audrey

Hi darling! Pain after a hard workout is fairly normal, but to a certain extent! If the pains persists long after and is unbearable its not normal, your maybe overtraining which isnt good. Im no expert so you may want to ask your local fitness expert in the gym and see whats happening! There are supplements which fasten recovery such as BCAAs which i previously did a blog post about! And dont worry whey isnt going to make you all muscly hahah belive me it takes more than that! Plus girls build muscle diferently to men! It actually gives us curves in the right places;)By eating every 2-3h i mean for example breakfast-snack-lunch-snack-supper(-snack if necesary), but just listen to your body and adapt to your needs!:) xx

You are so gorgeous! Your body is perfect and youve inspired me so much! I have been working out for what seems like forever and im not seeing any progress :( I eat healthy, I walk lots, I take a spin class sunday and monday, leg/butt day wednesday, arms/abs thursday, rest day friday, soccer saturday AND i work in heels 3 days a week for 5 hours. What am i doing wrong :( Thanks for the help!

Maybe thats the problem! You might be overtraining. Be sure to rest at least once a week, your muscles need recovery in order to grow! Each muscle group needs around 48h of rest before being trained again! If you already do that, you might have hit plateau which basically means your body is used to it and stuck! You should change routine when this happens vary your workouts, introduce new things! Keep challenging your body and you'll see it responds well:) xx

Hi Fiona! I was just wondering how heavy the weights you lift are? especially for squats, leg extensions etc! As I'm really getting in to weight training and I want toned legs (like yours) but i don't want to be bulky. Is it better to do more reps with a light weight or less reps with a heavy weight? :)

Currently i'm doing a rutine where i focus more on less reps but more weight! Its very challenging and you definitly push yourself to the maxmimum! It help build more muscle and in addition burn more fat(as the more muscle you have the more calories your body will use up! Turning fat into muscle which occupies much less and will give tou that lean and toned look!) xx

Hello Fiona! I follow you on Instagram and you are really inspirational and have such a perfect body that you deserve! I currently don't have time or the money for gym membership but I do workout at home with some equipment and have completed the workout program Insanity and now I'm trying T25. They burn and make me feel so good. With these HIIT workouts and lots of cardio should I be taking any whey protein powder or supplements to help maximise my results? I have a fairly high protein diet xx

Supplements (as the word indicates) are a way of supplying your diet, for example you should be aiming for 1-2g of protein per kg of your weight, the best way to get them would be through lean protein but if you cant protein powders are always a great, easy and quick option to reach the required amouts to reach your goals! :)

Hi FIona! firstly I'd like to say you have an amazing body! I was just wondering if you use weights while doing leg exercises e.g. Squats with weights. Because I'm just trying to lose a tiny bit of fat off my inner thighs and just wondering what you'd recommend! Thanks:) xx

Hi hun! Yes i do! Actually all the leg exercices I do, i do them with weights:) and you can feel the burn and burn fat quicker! Its also great to challenge yourself by seeing how much more you can lift every couple of weeks:)

You've completely inspired me to become a better version of myself Thank you! :) Also, how my hours of sleep/ what time you wake up and go to sleep to have adequate energy to exercise the next day. I feel like my sleep cycle is completely out of whack and would love to know how many hours I should aim to get. Thank you!! :)

thanks ever so much for the kind words :) I usually aim to sleep around 8h but it depends on the person really, i know many people that need more and others that need less, just listen to your body! I like going to bed fairly early as I like to wake up and have my full day ahead to enjoy :)

im trying to lose weight on my thighs, but i dont want them to get bulky and toned! any advice? ps. your body is amazing, keep up great work! x

Legs, legs, legs

I constantly get questions in asking me what exercises are the best for achieving lean legs. Firstly I’d like to point out that I am no expert but I have been training and trying many different things in regards of fitness for over the past 5 years which has teached me many things, both for good and bad, and therefor today I0d like to share to you some of my ‘knowledge’ based on the many different things I’ve tried which will hopefully solve some of your doubts :)

I have to admit that I am thankful to my mum to have inherited her legs, I must admit they’ve never been my ‘problem zone’ but I haven’t always had the same legs if you know what I mean. I have gone through stages where I put on weight (so obviously my legs got bigger) and other where I lost and therefor they got thinner.

Cardio is definitely a great way of losing those extra kilos that annoy many of us. If you’re looking to target the fat on your legs you have to train your whole body though, as there’s no such thing as spot reducing (which is basically making only one part of your body thinner). I’m a big fan of spinning which targets specially legs and at the same time due to the changes in speeds and resistance (this last one also helps toning them up!). Running is also an incredible cardio exercise which at the same time strengthens your leg muscles in particular.

Nevertheless, me myself after years of being devoted entirely of cardio I discovered weight training. Exercises such as squats, lunges or leg presses between many others. I personally dedicate 1 to 2 days a week to train my legs, not only because I really enjoy it (although it is really hard sometimes) but I actually have seen a significant progress since I started doing it! My legs haven’t got bigger, I many times hear girls worried about weight training their legs as they think it will make them bigger. Along with a healthy clean diet there should be no problem at all! And believe me if you are consistent and have patience (please do have patience, changes don’t come along overnight believe me!) and you will start seeing your legs leaner and toned plus many also target the gluts making a cheeky, nice round bum like all the ones we daily see in our instagram feeds hahah (And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to look like that?! Haha).

So basically the perfect leg exercises are a combination of cardio and weight training, focus on both if you’re looking to lose weight and slim your legs and on weight training if you want nice lean legs (without the feared ‘wobbly’ bits, plus helps reduce cellulite too!). But whatever don’t forget to weight train them, leg exercises target aswell indirectly your whole body which is a great fat burner and tonner (how amazing is that?!).

Hi Fiona, you are very inspiring. As someone starting off are you able to give me a sample idea of what your eating and meals are like on a standard day? Eg. Breakfast and snacks? Also do you have cheat meals?

Hey, I try to stick to clean foods, oatmeal for breakfast (here are some examples of what my usual breakfast looks like http://fiona-getsfit.tumblr.com/post/80561275357/breakfast-time-barneys-butters) , lean proteins for lunch and supper combined with veggies (here are more pics and ideas of what my main meals look like: http://fiona-getsfit.tumblr.com/post/79979683523/muscle-food) and I snack on fruit, healthy fats such as avocado ro peanut butter or protein bars :)

hi I am a huge fan of your blog! I was wondering what would happen if I only did cardio and no muscle training could I still lose a lot of weight?

Hi:) It depends on the week and how I feel really! I normally try to do a around 10-20min after weight training if I have time or feel like it, if not I do one day cardio which is usally running or spinning, the sessions last around 45min to 1:30h depending! xx

Thanks for the kind words:) I know this is going to sound soooo repetitive but there really is no secret besides being comited and persistant! Eat clean and train (and drink tons of water haha) if you stick to that you'll see how the results come along by themselfs :) nevertheless if your looking to loose extra weight combine cardio and weight training focusing on both! they're ecually important to burn fat
