bad cop / good dog
This will take forevrrrrr to draw since if have to come up with new outfits. So I'll just blab about it instead
Kuyoli wherein Oli is raised to be a sacrifice for the god that watches over his town
I read "why don't you eat me, my dear wolf?" (Which is good btw go read it, I'll wait), and thought that more monstery looking yokai would be awesome, the only basis of this au lol
Anyway, olivine was born on the first day of the year in which their town must offer a sacrifice to their god, which means he was chosen. Since birth til adulthood he was carefully manufactured to be the perfect sacrifice: he was taught all the stories about their god, about the values that he holds highest, how to be polite and demure, and of course, strictly watched so that he remained pure for their god.
He was well loved by the townspeople, but he was never allowed to be too close to them, and the majority of his social interaction came from reading to the local children. He loved spending time with them, but in the depths of his heart, he was terribly lonely. He buried these feelings in books, in crafts, and in the comforting knowledge that all this would be for the greater good. He wanted nothing more than to make the people around him safe and happy. He never feared his looming demise, finding the inevitability of it rather peaceful.
When the day came, he spent a long time saying goodbye to the people he loved, and insisted they don't cry for him, because this was a happy thing, a good thing, for them. Then he went off with the god's attendant that came to fetch him and take him to heaven and well. Lmao
It's not quite the heaven he read about in stories and scriptures, not even remotely actually. He's taken to the realm of yokai, where there's not a single benevolent god, but a magical, long lived people who were originally animals, some of which really loved to fuck around with humans. His god was one of them, and he doesn't! Even! Want! To! Eat him!!!!
Olivine was prepared his entire life to be a delicious little morsel and when confronted with his god, a gigantic purple talking fox. For some reason. His god turned up his snout at him and said he smelled bland and unseasoned and nauseating, what kind of life did he live to become so utterly boring? It wouldn't even be fun to trap him in an illusion, get the hell out of his house
Olivine refuses because he WILL be eaten and ensure the prosperity of his people (or else what was the point of all those years existing the way he did)
Some notes cuz this is now officially too long lol:
- kuya has been fuckin around with this one human town for so long they think he's their god, tho it's been forever since he's personally showed up. Seems like they invented a whole new person in his absence
- he is currently in the depths of a centuries long depressive episode due to a few factors: he got into a big fight with his husband a few hundred years ago and they divorced (still not over it), this weirdo magician he loved vanished without a trace a few decades ago (really not over this), but even without those he's been feeling like life is boring and pointless and then THE epitome of a boring and pointless little human shows up demanding that kuya eats him
- his favorite past times used to be terrorizing humans and stalking/fucking around with his exes, but even that isn't as fun as it used to be.
-garukaru and yakumo live with kuya, ostensibly as his attendants but really more like boy toys. Garu was rescued when he was very young by rei, and him, rei, and Quincy once all lived with kuya but well. That isn't the case anymore. He's still very close with rei and used to stay with him sometimes, but he's gotta stay with master kuya now he's so sad!!
-other yokai have no idea why yakumo works under kuya considering his lineage and power, but what can you do when you're a simple farm boy who gets swept off your feet by a beautiful and charismatic guy....he also of course lives with kuya but leaves to visit his human grandparents a few times a year. Kuya Does Not Get That, what a weirdo
-yakumo and Garu plead with kuya to let olivine stay, lying that they want a human to play with, honestly kuya doesn't care enough either way just get that dude away from him ech. It's from them that olivine learns more about kuya and this world, and the more he learns about kuya lmao. What the fuck. Little crisis of faith maybe just a little bit.
-hes really a good person tho really!! Yakugaru promises
-but none of that matters because olivine's ass will be eaten. He literally has nothing to lose. Olivine quickly becomes kuya's biggest headache but maybe this is better than how painfully dull things were like before he came
-when he meets rei and especially Quincy they're like what are you doing man lmao leave. Leave now. Blink twice if you need to be rescued
I am dying to know what you've got planned for that quinyaolirei wives AU........
alright. Alright. Anon, you don't know the jar that you just opened because— RADUSGHDGHGHGJGJTJF AUGH THIS IS THE AU RHAT I LOVE SO MUCH. OKAY OKAY IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS
so. first of all. 1) IT IS CURRENTLY UNDER PRODUCTION YIPPEEEEE 🥳🎉🎉 thats right!!! i am currenly writing it !!!! for more hints, this wip and this other wip are BOTH part of the au. specifically the quin/ya side of the au. AND THAT IS JUST A FRACTION OF IT.
2) with my collaboration with @/sunnsfw with the brainstorming for the plot (shoutout to you bestie), i am also happy to announce that the plot just went DEEPER 😭😭😭 the old post where i talked about a rough outline? that has just became a surface. there is a lot of backstories and court drama to wait for!!!!!!!
3) and although quin/ya and quin/rei (yes also them) are now currently on the works. the official chapter one of the fic is actually gonna be in olivine's point of view. i want this au to have that sort of vague and mysterious feeling to it.
i want this au to be about a naive innocent saint like boy, olivine, entering a palace harem and praying to god to keep him safe at least. i want him to slowly unfurl and find out about the hidden secrets, relationships, incidents that happened in the palace prior to his arrival. i want to make oli, both a part of this relationship but also a spectator at the same time, walk with the reader into finding the reason why the palace, the emperor and his wives, is the way it is today.
and 4) little spoiler: quincy intentionally lost a war so he can conveniently let oli stay married to him. rei scolded him while kuya was clearly amused.
quinyareioli royalty au poly i brainrotted with @sunnsfw all morning.
emperor/king quincy with his Empress, kuya, from an eastern territory. his Second Wife, rei, whom he met at a brothel and decided to take home. and finally, his Third Wife, olivine, who was offered by the temple of the southwest territory in exchange of funding and support of the foreign king.
trigger warning for some sensitive themes i can't say bcos itll ruin shock factor. pls proceed with caution.
- quincy and kuya married for political power and some sort of a peace treaty between west and east territory. with kuya having to leave his hometown to go live in a palace.
- he did not care about the western tradition and culture when he arrived, an act of defiance, he wore kimonos and other traditional clothing from his hometown and ignores other etiquettes by saying he is quite smart, he knows how to handle his behavior.
- the people of the palace thought the king would disapprove of this behavior. he didnt.
- when they had their wedding ceremony, kuya stood out in the crowd for the reason that he was wearing a white ceremonial bridal dress of the eastern territory instead of the west. but to their disappointment, quincy never said anything about it again and let kuya do whatever he likes.
- the wedding was as western as it could be. but when they arrived at their private chambers for a wedding night, quincy didn't go for it immediately. instead he sets up a low table, placed two cups of tea w ceramics imported from kuya's hometown, and knelt down on the floor to imitate how weddings in the east are usually done.
- quincy apologized for not being able to wear an appropriate attire for this kind of ceremony. kuya laughed amused and said he didnt wear the appropriate attire on their former wedding too anw.
- they drank tea, kneels towards each other and bowed. quincy does it so clumsily but kuya lets him pass
- two years of decent marriage. tolerable. lovey dovey even. there was love to be had.
- then kuya lost a baby due to miscarriage. then another. and another. and it went downhill from there.
- empress kuya had never abused his powers before, in fact he was more neutral than anything. he never thought his title was important and only done work that he is supposed to do. but that day, his rage and grief combined into one, he used the title of an empress to gathered maids, midwives, physicians, healers, everyone. he had them flogged, hit, and cuts and he watches all of it until he is satisfied and left.
- once again, quincy did not say anything. and the palace had to hire new staffs.
- kuya started neglecting himself, and his work, and his duties. he turned away quincy every night and he even shows irritation at the slightest touch on his bare skin. he never took a single maid ever again, he said he does not need any more snakes in his group. quincy lets him.
- this kuya is not the wife he married anymore, not the empress he once had.
- soon enough, quincy started visiting red light districts and went from brothel to brothel, drowned himself in booze as he mourned for a lover who was still breathing but might as well be dead in his arms.
- thats when he met rei.
- rei who was intelligent, smart, witty, sneaky and, most importantly, very good in bed. men's favorite, they used to call him, and now he is the emperor's favorite now too.
- once, while they lay down in the afterglow of their sex lovemaking. rei started tracing out the scars on quincy's body.
- "this one seems like a deep cut with how it scars like this" he says, as he traces one that is across his chest, almost on top of where his heart beats. rei snorts, "your majesty, u might as well be built like a tank."
- "you seem to know your things about wounds and scars" quincy says, a hand combing at his hair, "you couldnt possibly have your own?"
- rei laughed "i wouldnt make such a mistake. atleast not somewhere anyone can just see."
- that night, rei talked about science and medicines and herbs that quincy could barely keep up. such talk would bore a normal man to death but quincy took one look on rei's sparkling and bright eyes as he talked and decided to keep quiet. and besides.... he could be useful.
- by the next day, quincy arrived in a pretty carriage and ready to buy out rei and be taken as a second wife to his harem.
- rei was supposed to refuse bcos why would he give up living in a cage to go to a prettier one? but quincy went "id give u all the equipments and herbs and samples you need for ur learning. i will not stop u. the whole palace is welcome to be ur own laboratory, i swear that in my name" and rei actually stopped to think abt it for a second.
- at first, rei doesnt know what would quincy achieve by taking him as a wife. but he understood quincy's worries the moment he saw the empress and immediately got to work studying specific more unknown symptoms of postpartum.
- rei met the empress, so thin and so sickly and with eyes completely empty and void of any emotions. he understand why the king is very adamant abt this whole thing. their meeting was solely for formality, rei was already married through piece of paper he signed. so even if this empress tried to chase him out, he wouldnt.
- kuya started talking to him, called him a slut and a whore in one sentence, muttered a death threat under his breath, and another threat in case rei tried to usurp his position and empress title. rei winced at the words and rolled his eyes and says "keep your title or whatever, i dont want to suffer like you thank you very much" and a sparkle crinkled in kuya's eyes that rei didnt notice. but quincy definitely did.
- as they leave the empress' room, quincy says ".....that went well." and rei turned to him with a big frown and confusion and goes "WHAT PART OF IT WENT WELL" quincy did not elaborate.
- rei started stalking kuya around despite whatever he said. hes noting down everything he does, how much energy and effort he puts on everything, the way he walks, the way he sits. until kuya gets frustrated and just told rei if he wants to watch him like a hawk hunting prey then stop being sneaky about it.
- and rei took it all in the goodness of his heart (really). he even respects the fact that kuya doesnt want to be touched. in fact he played it off cool one time, when he goes "if ur so great, how much do u breath in a minute" so be so witty abt it. he thinks he was being slick about it. it worked out.
- when quincy finally confessed that he did brought rei home for kuya, he gave rei all the documents and medicines that kuya has to undergo during his pregnancy. rei read over it so intently and then he went "the doctors who wrote this.... where are they now?" and quincy silently goes "......kuya fired them" and rei is like "all of them?" and when quincy said yes. rei's eyes hardened and says "he made the right choice." and then started pointing out that everything in their documents are either opinionated or complete assumption w no evidence
- even the medicines are given without the thought that the empress is with child, rei's eyes darkened even more when he realized that some of them is completely harmful with pregnancy. he knows, he lived in the brothel, he knows the drugs to use if women wants to terminate a pregnancy.
- rei placed down the papers and goes "i want full power over the clinic of this palace" and quincy stared back at him, also with a similar dark glare. and say "you have my permission"
- as everything calmed down, rei smiled softly at quincy, "you must really cared about the empress huh?" and quincy said, "i loved him." and rei hums, "...not anymore?" quincy did not answer. instead he leaned down and kissed rei tenderly. the king has spent the night with his second wife that day.
- in the following days, the palace has been busy. the empress is obviously getting better slowly, he is now coming out of his room more, always seeking where the second wife is. and during this, the second wife will fuss over him and asks so many questions and pokes and pinches at everything. the empress lets him. the king took most of the work in the palace.
- the three of them made it work. the staffs has been fired and replaced once more, especially with the physicians that is under rei's mercy. kuya started working with finance and accounts of the palace again. and quincy is busy going in and out of town to complete businesses.
- everything is going well, until the temple gave them yet another interesting gift. a cute little priest in training, wrapped so nicely in southwest clothing to present as the new king's wife.
- oh olivine heard A Lot of things about the western royalties. the empress and the second wife doesnt seem to he in good terms, Oh God of Klein, olivine heard they tried to kill each other! the empress who feels threatened about another wife and the second wife who tried to get a higher position.... and olivine has to join them? he could only pray for safety.
- olivine arrived at the palace at the wrong time, His Majesty is still away and is not expected to come back in the next few hours. as an apology, staffs has instructed him to wait at the beautiful palace gardens where he can enjoy tea and the beautiful sight of floras.
- oh but olivine is too nervous to even appreciate the flowers. that is until a man has sat beside him by the bench.
- olivine squeaks in surprise, looking up to see who it was and— oh my. with this kind of armor and the sweat going down the side of his face, a tired expression as if he had just done extreme exercise... could it be a knight?
- so olivine, as oblivious and innocent he is, started to spill out his woes and anxiety to this very trustful and nice looking knight who stares at him in shock and understanding. olivine said he is so so nervous, what if the king doesnt like him? and his two wives!!! what if his Two wives doesnt like him? what will become of him then?
- "mr. knight" huffed a laugh and asked, "youre scared of the empress and the second wife?" and oli nodded his head vigorously, "who wouldnt be!" then mr. knight patted his head and says "your concerns are valid."
- so imagine olivine's surprise when he entered the hall and saw this "mr. knight" is sitting on the throne— next to two most beautiful men he had ever seen in his life.
- olivine almost fainted.

A/N: Part 1 of a longer series that I am currently working on! Once I started writing about Quincy, I couldn't stop. The concept arose from the idea that Quincy would not court an omega using traditional means; he would forage berries and hunt meat as an offering instead. He is such a gentle /little/ giant and I love him for it~ I have included other NU: Carnival ships that I enjoy such as Olivine x Edmond and Yakumo x Blade... There might be mentions of other ships in the next part, so stay tuned! 11.8k words~
Warnings: Brief mentions of abuse (Flagellation), SMUT (MDNI), Brief mentions of religious topics, A/B/O dynamic (Omega!Male!Reader x Alpha!Quincy). This story will have multiple parts and later chapters will include m!preg and the pair will have children.

Situated along the border between the ‘Dark Territory’ and the ever-expanding realm of the ‘Dead Zone’, a modern settlement was erected. Those seeking to risk their lives in pursuit of knowledge, built a research base, in order to discover the secrets housed by the Dark Territories traitorous lands. Isolated from civilisation, courageous souls sought to expand current understandings and develop an awareness towards the abandoned city, forgotten to time. The Dark Territory was known for its unpredictability; ever-changing landscapes and treacherous weather patterns. Once inside of the Dark Territory, you became trapped an illusion.
It was a dangerous place to venture alone.
The citizens of Klein avoided interaction with the Dark territory, content to survive within the Fire, Water, Light and Wood realms. They sought safety from the security that their land was stable. The Dark territory acted as a barrier, separating their villages from the mysterious and terrifying Dead Zone. In recent years, the Dead Zone had began to spread like a plague, reclaiming the land that it had once possessed. No longer confined to the central belt, the Dead Zone seeped into neighbouring territories, forcing citizens to flee their homes and seek shelter in adjacent villages. Innocent creatures mutated, perishing beneath the influence of toxic waves. Flora and Fauna faded to ash, unable to withstand the destructive environment. The Dead Zone could not be controlled nor suppressed without ‘divine’ intervention and thus, the citizens who fought diligently to protect their livelihood, were defeated without empathy nor grace.
For centuries, the citizens of Klein had arrogantly ignored the threat of the Dead Zone, despite countless warnings against it’s destructive nature and inescapable power. They had selfishly relied on the ability possessed by the ‘Grand Sorcerer’ to control elemental spirits, regulate the Gemstone alters and subdue the Dark Zones terror. They blindly assumed that he would never tire of his duties; never once offering an ounce of understanding, support or appreciation.
However, without warning, the Grand Sorcerer mysteriously disappeared, leaving nothing but despair and chaos in his wake. Without the Grand Sorcerer’s guidance, the harmony he had once created amongst the elements, began to dissolve. The Gemstone alters could not survive on their own and cracks began to rise towards the surface. Dangerous creatures spread between realms and viciously attacked anyone who stepped onto their unforgiving path.
The flaws within Klein’s hierarchy began to unveil themselves…
Following twenty-one years of absence, an assumed successor to the Grand Sorcerer had emerged from the shadows. Risen from the ashes, a prodigy blossomed in order to replicate Huey’s actions and return peace to the landscape of Klein. Met with skepticism, the new Grand Sorcerer sought to ease fears and assist in the exact ways his predecessor had before. Pretentiously hopeful, he greeted each challenge with a smile, never wavering in the face of danger. The new Grand Sorcerer recreated Huey’s former clan, gathering each member together in order to strengthen their bond and influence. Although their actions proved successful within the Light Territory’s realm, the inhabitants of the settlement were skeptical of the new Grand Sorcerers arrogant claim.
The sky that decorated the Dark Territory never changed; maintaining a deep purple hue, it was impossible to determine the passage of time. It is was common for its inhabitants to maintain prolonged working hours, unaware of wether the clock struck sunrise or sunset.
In the beginning of the settlement, countless lives were needlessly claimed by the unforgiving nature of the land and thus, overtime, methods of safety and security were employed. Those desiring to venture inward, were instructed to tie a rope around their waist, securing a line to the base in order guide their return. It was also advised that minimal time was spent in the foreign region. The priority was to retrieve soil, plant and rock samples. If they were lucky enough to encounter wildlife, their corpse would be brought home in order to provide sustenance to the base.
Split between those who wished to survive in a land without the need for essence and those in support of the Grand Sorcerer, the townsfolk were often at odds when the discussion arose.
Amongst the crowd of humans, was a particularly vocal and outspoken, Yokai. Klein housed the optimal environment for animal spirts to adopt essence and to develop their appearance and mannerisms, towards that of a human. Thus, it was common for Yokai to spawn, appearing from the soul of their former carnivorous selves. One such case was yourself, a feline yokai with a pair of funnel-shaped ears, small fangs and a long flexible tail, covered in fur of a colour that complimented the hair atop of your head. Having once lived the life of a domesticated cat, lead astray and adapting to the elements of the forest, the ancient Sacred tree had granted you the ability to breathe human life into your lungs. No longer able to recall your life as a feline spirit, you suddenly found yourself, terrified and alone. Your childish cries rung throughout the forest. Unfamiliar with walking atop two legs, you crawled through rough terrain, eventually reaching the maternal arms of a nun who brought you back towards safety. Raised by humans, you often neglected your feline biology, suppressing your animalistic tendencies and learning to control the appearance of both your ears and your tail.
Living within the Water Territory, you were raised by a religious group who sought guidance from the God of Klein. You turned towards the advice of Father Olivine whenever you felt perturbation or strife. Father Olivine was akin to a shining star within the night’s sky; a beacon of hope and a messenger, to carry those down the correct path should they feel threatened to be lead astray. Despite being of an elder age to Olivine, you idolised the Priest. Placing him upon an untouchable pedestal, you gazed upon him as though he had hand-crafted the moon and the stars from his own two hands. Whenever you were not assisting your brothers and sisters within the orphanage, you were stood dutifully by Olivine’s side, diligently practicing his praises and reciting scripture. Your smile shone brighter when standing beneath Olivine’s heavenly light.
You had first met Olivine when the young priest had attended the church’s orphanage, seeking to assist it’s inhabitants should they chose to follow down the path of priesthood. Surrounded by both alpha and beta your entire life, your breath caught in your throat when you inhaled the foreignly sweet scent of another omega. Olivine was an offering from God; a glass of water when you became lost in an endless terrain of sun and sand. You clung to Olivine’s side, listening to his words with bated breath; he was your saviour. Olivine had taught you the basics of your own biology; the act of nesting, scenting and enduring heats. You had learnt things that the nuns held no experience of. He had taught you to feel comfortable and how to remain steadfast despite pressures to slow you down. Olivine fought for omega rights and placed his best foot forward to stand for equality.
Throughout the years you remained in contact with Olivine, even after you had graduated from the care system. You found peace within religion and would continue to believe in the word of God, yet Priesthood was not the path you felt that you were destined to follow. Perhaps in another life, you would carry the message of God to the citizen of Klein.
Uncertain of which path that you were destined to follow, you had discovered a love for traveling. Venturing between the opposing territories, you had fallen in love with local cultures and realised a desire to educate yourself on a world unknown to you. Confined to the orphanage during your youth, you were childishly ignorant towards reality; you spent nights in local inns, learning the history of Klein and breaking bread with alphas. Living a sheltered life meant that you had never learnt to fear alpha; headstrong, you accepted each challenge with a smile. Olivine had often expressed caution towards your unrestrained lifestyle and yet, you blindly brushed those concerns aside.
Ultimately, you had stumbled across the research base, located on the outskirts of the Dark Territory. Cautioned against joining due to your status as an omega, you had felt it was a challenge and thus joined the ranks. You were highly skilled in botany due to your elite education provided by the church, enabling you to test the samples that the researchers brought back and offer an in-depth analysis of the plant and soils components. You were the youngest member of the research base, and the only omega to greet the industrialised walls. Despite this, you were treated as an equal. You had bite.
After the introduction of the new Grand Sorcerer to Klein, you had began to spend less time with Olivine. Despite believing that the priest had lost interest within you, you soon discovered that Olivine was one of the infamous clan member and thus, you sought to spread support towards their cause. Causing arguments with fellow members of the base, you defended the clan with your life.
The leader of the base, an elderly man known to you as ‘Pa’, typically took responsibility towards your childish outbursts. Pinching the base of your neck in the way that a mother would with her kittens, he restraint you and scolded you for your aggressive behaviour. In retaliation, you flashed your fangs, folded your arms across your chest and extracted your claws. “He was talking badly about Father’s clan! I can’t let anyone, especially someone as decrepit as him, say that Fathers going to cause trouble!” You pouted, thrashing your arms and legs in an attempt to escape Pa’s grip. Akin to a cat, the spot on the base of you neck rendered your body immobile. Your eyes flashed with warning. Despite the innocent threat, you cared deeply for Pa and idolised him in the way that a child would towards their father. Pa’s chest heaved as he laughed in response, rolling his eyes and returning you to the ground. “Just a lil kitten at heart, ey? Listen kid, we are allowed to be skeptical. We lost our brethren to the forest, all ‘thanks’ to the original Grand Sorcerers disappearance… Our homes, lost. Places that once thrived now turned to dust. Who’s to say the new guy wont leave us in an even worse state? I ain't trying to argue with you kiddo, I just want you to understand the point of view of someone who’s seen the forest die faster than you have grown” he spoke, soft and patient as he ran a hand through your hair. His words resonated with your soul, creating an understanding.
Biting back a quip, you lifted your gaze to meet his own. “It is just… Father Olivine would never let me down so I don’t want to lose faith!” Pa’s gaze softened. Despite having only known you for a year, you had matured rapidly throughout the summer; you were the child he had always wanted but never had. Raised beneath tradition, Pa was expected to earn his keep and act as a provider. Expected to fulfil the duties of an alpha, he dedicated his life to research and never had a moment of rest to settle down and raise a family. He had never fallen in love. You were the first omega who had turned to him for support; asking for his scent during a heat and relying on him for protection when lightening struck… He loved you in the way a Father would love his Son. He would give his life if it meant you would always smile.
“I know kiddo. Father’s a great guy, huh?” He mused. A comfortable silence fell between you both, Pa’s hand rested securely against your back. “I promise to give the guy a chance… Just be gentler on the other guys, eh? They… They have been through a lost since the Dead Zone started spreadin’.” Your heart swelled, nodding with a deep understanding. Pa trusted you, and that was all you needed, to know that things would be okay.
A week passed and you received a letter in the mail, a pressed note from Olivine, with a promise that he would visit the settlement and bring the friends that he had made along the way. Unable to contain your excitement, you dashed into Pa’s room, leaping on his bed and disturbing his sleep. With a sharp grunt, he awoke and listened to your ramblings. You expressed a desire to prepare a meal for their arrival and Pa, accepting defeat, reluctantly climbed out of bed. You would not allow him to sleep until your shared home was prepared for the evening ahead.
You spent the day preparing a feast, decorating your living room with fresh flowers from the Wood Territory, and tidying your nest incase Olivine required a rest. You decorated your bed with freshly washed blankets and cotton pillows. You assumed that the rest of the clan would contain alpha or beta, and Pa would never allow another sub-gender to share your intimate space. You felt comforted by his paternal display of affection. Pa watched as you set-up a chair by the window; filled to the brim with impatience. Whenever your emotions became overwhelming, your ears and tail would sprout. Pa watched as your ears twitched to life and your tail patted happily against the ground. A soft fond smile tugged at his lips. He prayed to the Gods that everything would turn out well for you…
The moment you caught a glimpse of Peridot from the distance, you leapt to your feet and dashed out of the door. Throwing your arms into the air, you crashed into the plush chest of the unsuspecting priest, rubbing your cheek against his own in order to scent the man of God. “Olivine~ Olivine~ I missed you! I missed you so much!” You cried, climbing into his arms as he settled his own around your lower waist, in order to support you. Startled by your sudden outburst, he stumbled backwards and laughed fondly at your childish glee. “(Y/N)! You startled me! My, My you have grown exponentially since we last met!” He exclaimed, returning your feet to the ground as his emerald eyes shifted across your expression. His hand settled on your ears, gently patting the soft fur. Despite being hundreds of years old due to living beneath the form of a feline spirit for the majority of your life, your human body rivalled the appearance of a young adult; rapidly developing as your mind matured.
Distracted by Olivine’s gentle smile, you failed to acknowledge the gathering of strangers stood behind him, lingering in the shadows to await an introduction. A sharp cough snapped you from your daze, causing your eyes to shift from Olivine to the unfamiliar faces behind him. Olivine’s cheeks flushed as he apologised to his companions, turning to offer introductions. “I apologise, this is (Y/N). He is one of the children from the orphanage… He is one of my closest friends.” You extended your hand towards the beta who stepped forward, his scent alarmingly delicate with a top circus note of mandarin and pineapple, with a deep cedar musk slipping through the cracks beneath. His enthusiasm radiated off of him in waves as he took your hand and shook it. “Pleased to meet ya! I’m Eiden but I suspect Olivine has told you all about me~” he teased, his voice playful as turned towards Olivine and winked.
You felt the tension in your shoulders dissipate, unaware of your inner anxieties suddenly eased by Eiden’s presence. This was the new Grand Sorcerer; you could instantly sense that his heart was pure. He would achieve greatness, you were certain of it. His smiled reminded you that you were correct in your assumption to defend him. Following Eiden was a timid serpent Yokai named Yakumo, his bergamot and mandarin scent filled your nostrils, soothed by an undertone of amber and lily. You could recognise that he was an alpha despite his timid, hesitant presentation. His smile was charming; it warmed your heart. Despite yourself, you believed that Yakumo would be a perfect sire to any future children that he may plan to procreate in the future.
After Yakumo, a polite, honourable and well-mannered omega introduced himself. His name was Edmond, vice-captain of the guards. Before he even spoke, you already knew him. Olivine had mentioned his name multiple times in the letters that he had sent; a tinge of Earl Grey, mixed with an earthy lavender and patchouli. His scent mixed deliciously with green apple and vanilla (the signature scent of Olivine) to create a harmonious perfume that could easily lull you to sleep. A smile danced across your lips as Edmond attempted to prove himself worthy beneath your direct gaze. It was evident that the pair were courting, though neither yourself nor Olivine dared to confess to the obvious, before Edmond was ready to share that intimate detail of their lives. You lifted your arms to welcome Edmond into your warm embrace, your cheek brushing against his own in an attempt to soothe him with your potent scent. “Take care of him, I am counting on you” you whispered. As you pulled back, his cheeks flushed and Olivine greeted you with a knowing smile.
“Pa and I prepared a delicious meal for you all! I am certain that you must be-” you began, before suddenly finding yourself interrupted by Eiden. The outspoken individual rolled his eyes, folded his arms across his chest and turned to face away from the group. “You’re not going to introduce yourself?” He spoke, interrupting you as you attempted to welcome the clan into your home. Unaware of whom Eiden was referring to, your eyes narrowed when a tree shifted, a bush pushed aside to reveal a large, dominating presence that was impossible to ignore. Standing at beyond six foot, was a man with unkempt blond locks, piercing amber eyes and an unreadable expression. He gazed towards Eiden with a tired glance before shifting his gaze toward your own. His scent brought a new life into your lungs; fresh cotton flowers, rosemary with a hint of musk, coriander and cumin. It was natural. It smelt like a home that you had long forgotten to time.
Your breath caught in your throat. You had once prided yourself on your ability to withstand an alpha’s potent scent and yet, his mere existence brought a weakness to your knees that you could not explain. Your resolve slipped and your ears suddenly twitched, your tail swaying and thumping against the ground. Quincy hesitated for a brief moment, suddenly taken aback by the floral scent of lavender and thyme, mixed with the citrus undercut of mandarins that linger upon the surface of your skin. He grunted in response to Eiden. He extended a large, calloused hand towards you. “Troublesome…” he paused. “I am Quincy” he spoke with a deep roughness that forced a shiver to run down your spine. Lost in a daze, your extended your hand; your skin felt like porcelain within his rough, large grasp.
“(Y-Y/N)… My name is (Y/N)” you stuttered. A deep wave of embarrassment washed across your system as you removed your hand from his hold. You turned your head in shame, attempting to will away your ears and tail as they betrayed you. You pressed your hands to your head and cursed beneath your breath. Your ears remained stubborn; your tail curled around your leg. “Take a deep breath” his voice sounded, interrupting your nervous laughter. You heeded his advice, breathing to calm your anxiety and in a moment, your ears faded back into your head. Your omega had responded to his alpha. A smile graced your expression as you turned to him with a bright, joyous laugh. “Thank you, Quincy!” You beamed.
Quincy felt his heart stop. A single thought passed through his mind: He never wanted to live in a world that did not bask beneath your direct sunlight ever again.
Pa interrupted your conversation, introducing himself as your Father to the clan members as they approached him. He shook Eiden’s hand, warning him of his responsibilities. Olivine reassured Pa that they would each take responsibility for the future of Klein, and by extension, yourself. He sensed that his true intention was linked to your own personal protection. Pa gazed at Quincy with a pensive expression, reminding vigilant of the imposing alpha lingering within his private home. As you guided the clan into your house, you offered each member a glass of water. As your eyes settled on Quincy, your body froze against its will. Your lips moved to form a sentence, as a small ferret-like creature with snow-white fur, pinkish ears and a glistening nose, appeared from beneath his jacket. His head tilted as he let out a soft, sharp squeak. Quincy, undeterred by the appearance of the creature, nodded his head. “The little guy would like water” he spoke. A smile made its way to your face. “Does the little guy have a name?” You asked, tilting your head to mimic the creatures own mannerisms. “Twilight Star-Show Max Lucifer Topper III!” Eiden cheered, interrupting Quincy. It was unlikely that Quincy would unveil the full extent of the creative name that Eiden had bestowed upon him. The creature, nodded in response. “Topper” Quincy summarised, looking at Eiden out of the corner of his eye. “Topper, aren’t you the absolute cutest? I will bring you, your water first” you mused, with a playful wink. Topper squeaked in response. You could not understand him, though you sensed that Quincy likely could.
Returning with glasses of water and plates for the group, Pa presented the feast and encouraged each member to indulge. You took a step backwards, to allow the travellers first choice of the delicious meats and fresh vegetables. You had caught the fresh meat using basic traps alongside your own feline instincts. The meal had been prepared by your own two hands and you took pride in watching each member indulge. You laughed amusingly as Topper fought to steal a slice of meat from Eiden’s plate. “… You are not eating?” A voice resonated from behind, startling you out of your daze. Turning to face a broad chest, you lifted your head upwards. “I will wait until everyone has chosen their meats first” you explained, ushering Quincy towards the platter. He took a step forward, silent as he lifted a slice of each meat on to a plate. He also added a generous helping of vegetables. He then turned around and held the plate towards your chest. “… If you do not eat, you will never grow” he stated. His voice blunt, yet lacked distain. Your eyes widened as you accepted the offering. Your inner omega was forced to suppress a purr as an alpha ensured your wellbeing by providing you with meat, regardless of the fact that you had prepared the meal yourself. He then took a separate plate of his own, mimicking the meal he had prepared for you. “Thank you, Quincy…” you mused. His signature grunt was the only response you got in return. It was all you needed, your omega felt content.
As sunlight faded and the moon filled the dark sky, the clan attempted to excuse themselves, feeling guilty for overstaying their welcome. Eiden expressed his upmost gratitude for the hospitality and promised to return, to assist the researchers in the attempt to regulate Klein without the requirement for essence. Even if it was not possible, Eiden would assist in every single way that he was able to. He understood their distrust within him and would work hard to prove himself worthy. You paused as Olivine wrapped a cloak around Edmond’s shoulders, admiring the display of intimacy with a deep heat inside of your chest. The act was domestic; it reminded you that love could exist in different forms. You had only ever known the maternal love of the nuns or the parental affection of Pa. You had once believed that you had been in love with Olivine, but it was nothing beyond admiration. He did not make your heart flutter, your cheeks flush and your breath dissipate… He did not make your chest rumble with a satisfied purr.
You stepped forwards and offered Yakumo assistance with his jacket, helping the alpha slip his shoulders into the knitted shawl. “This is such an intricate piece, did you make it?” You asked. His cheeks flushed. “N-No my grandmother made it for me when I was younger. I am naturally cold-blooded so she made this to ensure I was always warm!” He announced, with such pride that it was evident that Yakumo cared deeply for his family. It was a charming quality that you admired.
Topper leapt from Quincy’s shoulder to your own, rubbing his soft cheeks against the crux of your neck in order to seek out your scent. You lifted a hand to scratch his small head, earning another satisfied squeal from his snout. Quincy remained silent as he observed the interaction. “Next time you visit, I will prepare fresh berries!” You mused, nuzzling into his soft fur.
“I appreciate you visiting me today, it has been a whilst since Pa and I had visitors from outside the settlement. We have enjoyed your company so please come again!’” You announced. “It would be an honour to become acquainted with the rest of the clan, so they are welcome to join you on your next visit.” The clan consisted of nine members, excluding Eiden and the two familiars who inhabited their mansion. You discovered that the clan housed multiple omegas, sparking your interest in those you had yet to meet. Omegas were rare and you felt eager to meet an omega yokai; desperate to connect with those who shared your linage.

Two weeks had passed before you received a letter from Eiden. Enclosed was an invitation to Aster’s mansion; you proudly showcased the note to Pa, parading the paper around the small village streets. Although you were met with distain and eye rolls, you puffed out your chest and proclaimed your dedication. “Just you wait, Mister Eiden is going to save Klein.” You were certain of it.
The days passed as you continued to analyse samples retrieved from the Dead Zone. A sudden wave of calmness washed across the land; the Dead Zone remained dormant, contained. The Dark Territory appeared to match its pace, remaining quiet as plant life did not show signs of development or mutation. There were often months in which things stagnated. It meant that tension within the village eased and those you had once called rivals now broke bread, wrapping an arm around your shoulder as you both indulged in wine.
The following morning you awoke to the sound of a sharp chime. Assuming that Pa had remained within the research base all evening, only returning now, you stumbled down the stairs to unhinge the latch. Standing in a oversized shirt that slipped off of your shoulder, revealing the bare expanse of skin on your collar bone and legs; your hair tussled after a night of rest. Sleep in your lashes and tears in the corners of your eyes. You pushed open the door and automatically stepped to the side. “Welcome home!” You chimed. Your eyes closed. For a moment, nothing happened. Sensing that something was amiss, you opened your eyes and stumbled back in shock. Instead of Pa, outside your door was Quincy.
His cheeks dusted with a light shade of red as he averted his gaze from your exposed, tempting form. For a brief moment, Quincy felt himself tense. You had exposed your bare skin to his direct gaze; your unclaimed neck called out to him like a siren song. Your legs… He felt the tips of his fingers burn with a desire to trace his hands across the curvature of your thighs and sedate his thrust between your legs… You had welcomed him home. He wanted to be the only man you ever welcomed into your house. He wanted to be greeted by that same sight after he returned from hunting. One day you would welcome him home with a swollen stomach, laughter of children fluttering the background as he lifted you into his arms and… You were not his omega. You were a stranger who affected him in ways that even the ‘Little Devil’ could not.
“Please forgive me! I believed that Pa was returning home” you apologised, slipping behind the door in order to create a barrier that concealed your body from the imposing alpha who loomed above you. He grunted, turning his attention back towards you. “…It would be troublesome if another alpha were to witness you in such a state. You should take care… You could get hurt” he spoke, his voice rough with an edge of concern. He removed his jacket from around his shoulders and offered the piece of fabric towards you. “Take it” he spoke, it was not a command but an offering. Reaching for the jacket, you wrapped the excess fabric around your smaller frame, sinking into the heat provided by the cloth. Quincy’s scent had soaked the fabric after years of use; endless days of hard labour had forced the fabric to absorb sweat. You were enveloped by the alpha’s scent. Without conscious thought, you began to purr. You felt content within his passive embrace. You turned to face him with a hum, twirling around to showcase the display. As you met his gaze, your mouth fell agape. He gazed at you as though he was starved. His cheeks flushed with a colour you did not know his skin could create. He looked at you in the way a parishioner would gaze towards the God.
You coughed, shifting your gaze towards your feet as you stepped backwards to create space. “W-Why don’t you come inside…” you began. Your voice was innocent, with pure intent and yet, it stirred a primal urge deep within his gut. The sinful words that spilled from your lips, taken out of context; he surged forwards, his hand reached to grip the front of his jacket and pull your body towards his own. It was the first time, in his life, that he had felt his restraint snap; his composure slipping. Your body tensed but indicated no fear or desire to escape. “…” he released his grip. His gaze hardened as he looked down upon you. For a moment, your eyes met and the world around you faded into nothing.
Eiden had requested that Quincy accompany your passage through the forest and ensure that you were able to arrive safely at his mansion’s door. As the guest of honour, Eiden introduced you to the remaining members of his clan. Garu, an omega wolf Yokai with vibrant sapphire eyes, leapt towards you; his tail swayed from side to side as he gazed at you with wonder. An E-droid, whom you learnt was named Blade, offered you a suspicious looking biscuit that was shaped into what he proclaimed was a ‘Darling~’. You were not certain on what a ‘Darling~’ was, but you assumed that it was supposed to mimic the appearance of the Grand Sorcerer himself. Rei, Kuya and Dante expressed minimal interest; the Sun Lord appeared apprehensive, whilst the fox Yokai watched you in the way that a predator would stalk their pray. A shiver ran down your spine as he approached. “Ah~ I see, my old friend has taken quite an interest in you~ So naive~ heh…” he mused, placing his index finger against his chin as he paused, deep in thought. Before he could open his mouth to speak further, Quincy appeared from the shadows and placed a rough hand, a warning, on Kuyas shoulder. “…” Their eyes met, Kuya’s expression flicker with amusement as he hummed, taking a singular step backwards. “Be careful, old friend, such a ripe fruit appears to be ready for picking… and I do not see any claim mark upon him~” within the same breath, Kuya had vanished.
Olivine, sensing the tension, approached and placed a gentle hand on your shoulder. As he opened his mouth to speak, he caught a glimpse of the jacket that remained wrapped around your shoulders and the tense stare that Quincy bore down upon him. His lips curled into a concealed smile and he instantly withdrew. “Quincy, why don’t you show (Y/N) around the mansion?” He asked. In the distance, Garu let out a whine, complaining at how he wanted to show you around himself. Eiden ruffled his ears, telling him that he could show you the garden after.
Topper appeared on Quincy’s shoulder, squeaking with delight at the idea of assisting you with the tour. Quincy was a man of few words, though his silence did not deter you. It held a rather ‘endearing’ charm to it. You lifted your hand towards him, seeking to rest your palm against the crux of his elbow. “You are not going to keep me waiting… are you~?” You teased.
Walking through the quiet, peaceful hallways, you fell into step with Quincy. His stoic stare bore down on the ground that he stepped upon. You sensed that something troubled him, but kept your concerns to yourself. You had a feeling that direct confrontation was not the appropriate way to handle Quincy. As you reached the dining room, you tugged on Quincy’s sleeve. “Why don’t we sit down for a moment, I am certain they wont miss us too much.” Quincy could not deny. Who was he do deny ‘his’ omega? The concept that you were, in fact, not ‘his’ omega did not cross his mind. Quincy sat in silence as you told him about yourself; your interests, your life growing up within the orphanage, your admiration for Olivine and your days spent at the research base with Pa. “Pa did not think I would last long, but I've been there for a year and we have made good progress…” you mused, reminiscing. You turned towards Quincy, your hand rested against his jacket that you wore. You were unlike any omega that Quincy had ever met before. You lived a life of high risk with low reward; you confronted death on a regular basis without a second thought. You were enthusiastic about your research and appeared to have dedicated your life towards it. He had never known an another omega who could compare… You lived in a world opposite to Quincy’s own.
“Tell me about yourself… What makes a handsome man like yourself want to sit alone with someone like me?” You grinned. Your words, although playful, held a deeper meaning that you were too afraid to consciously acknowledge. You had always believed in a future in which you were alone; the idea of submitting to an alpha did not scare you, but rather, you did not feel that any alpha would dare waste their claim on you. You were loud, outspoken and self-sufficient with a desire to rebel against stereotypes. You did not envision yourself as the type of omega who would be content with remaining home to raise a child. You enjoyed a life of high risk; you lived on a settlement that could be destroyed in a singular blink. You lived life for the thrills, not for the duration. You saw a world beyond what was expected of you. You could not control your Yokai instincts and fought against domination.
“… You are troublesome. You are not afraid of me” he hummed, his gaze hardened as he turned towards you. Unlike his usual stoic expression that lacked emotion, his eyes softened. His lips curled into a soft, gentle smile. It caused your heart to flutter. “You are not afraid.. of anything.” The distance between your bodies suddenly felt non-existent. The air became thick with unspoken words and hidden desire. You caught yourself, before pulling backwards and creating space. “Y-You won’t charm me with words alone~” you laughed, cheeks flushed.
You truly were unlike any omega Quincy that had ever known. He watched you when you weren’t looking. His smile remained.
Quincy could no longer remember the exact year that he was born; decades had past, his parent’s, friends and lovers had become lost to time. He had once fallen in love with a mortal; a gentle creature who belonged to the forest’s tribe. He had approached Quincy with apprehension; eyes wide with innocence. Quincy could still recall the fragrance of lemon and bergamot that decorated his porcelain skin. Quincy had treated him as though he were an ancient artefact; a fragile object that would shatter beneath his rough and callous hands, if he were not careful. Quincy had blindly fallen in love, without a second thought towards the consequences. He had spent endless summer nights by his side, hunting for meat and foraging for berries.
Decades past and Quincy remained the same; his body unaffected by the passage of time. The concept of bonding was foreign to the tribe, accustomed to ancient traditions, bonding between an alpha and an omega was reserved solely to those who created children. Quincy had never needed a bite mark to remain loyal to his partner. The pair wed and attempted to conceive. Their attempts remained unsuccessful throughout the years and although his omega suffered the burden of infertility, Quincy was a source of constant reassurance. They had lived inside a world of their own. Quincy had dedicated his entire life towards becoming an alpha suitable of their praise. However, time for Quincy, was fleeting. Without conscious thought, fifty years had passed and the youthful omega that he had fallen in love with, lost his spark. Confined to their shared bed, he passed inside of Quincy’s arms. In that moment, he had understood the fragility of human life and swore to never fall in love again.
Quincy then spent the rest of his life living in solitude; he had signed a contract with the Grand Sorcerer and become a clan member, in order to gain sufficient power to protect the tribesmen. Ultimately removed from the tribe due to his seemingly immortal existence, he continued to support them from a distance. His entire life had revolved around the tribe. Even if he was not welcome, he held no ill feelings towards them.
You learnt that Quincy lived a quiet life in solitude, living in a handmade cabin within the forest of the Wood Territory. He was a man built on tradition. He loved nature; he fought to defend and encourage the ecosystem. Equipped with innate survival instincts, he could survive any terrain. He spoke in broken sentences, short abrupt words that summarised paragraphs into minimal phrases. He kept to himself. Quincy preferred listening above speaking. Topper spoke on Quincy’s behalf, nuzzling his cheek into the column of your neck and seeking your scent. When he returned to Quincy, he carried your scent on to himself, causing the alpha to subconsciously lean into his furry friend.
A peaceful silence washed across the room, as you leant your head against Quincy’s enlarged bicep. You took a deep breath, inhaling Quincy’s cotton flower and amber scent. You could easily decipher each note that his distinctive scent was composed of; the spice of cumin and freshness of vanilla warmed your lungs. “… Thank you, Quincy” you hummed, before sitting upright and moving his jacket from your shoulders. You extended your hand to return the fabric to him; his expression neutral, unreadable to an untrained eye. You felt comfortable with Quincy, it was a type of comfort that welcomed you home after a long day. The type of comfort that felt like the world had finally fallen into place. He was beautiful. His rough edges only added towards his overall charm. “We should return, Mister Eiden would be upset if I did not enjoy the feast that he prepared” you motioned. Despite his connection to Eiden, he felt the sudden urge to leave him disappointed, to whisk you away and to keep your attention solely trained on him… Alas, he kept his thoughts to himself and grunted in response.
Returning to the dining hall, you were greeted by Garu, who stood impatiently by the door with his ears twitching and his tail wagging. He called you to the side, his eyes sparkled with childish wonder. “(Y/N)! Master says that you’re just like me! I’ve never met another omega Yokai before… You have a really sweet scent! Can we sent each other? Master says its important for omegas to scent each other so we feel comfortable. I want you to feel comfortable in Master’s home too!” he exclaimed. His energy radiated off of him in waves; it was contagious. His head tilted to the side. You took a step forwards, allowing your ears and tail to present themselves. In doing so, Garu’s scent sweetened; complimentary to your own, Garu’s scent carried a top note of mandarin and pear, with undertones of sandalwood and jasmine. You rubbed your cheek against his, allowing your scents to intertwine. A content purr resonated from your chest; the intoxicating aroma of a content omega flooded the room, causing Yakumo to twitch in response. His inner alpha weak, basking in the scent of any omega who was willing to share their scent with him.
As you separated, Garu lifted his hand towards your own and intertwined your fingers. It was an instant connection; two lost souls brought together via a shared linage. You felt that, even without words, Garu understood you. Unafraid of expressing his inner wolf, he acted on base instincts and did not attempt to suppress who he was. You believed that you would be able to learn and grow from his advice.
Eiden observed your interaction with Garu, as his head rested against the palm of his hand. His nose twitched as he caught sight of Quincy, out of the corner of his eye. Sat alone with his jacket in his hand and Topper facing him, his brow quirked. He dared not to eavesdrop on their conversation and yet, he felt there was something uncomfortably amiss. He could sense that Quincy was facing troubles that he did not want to consciously recognise. Before Eiden was able to approach the domineering alpha, Kuya materialised from seemingly thin air. The fox Yokai stood proudly in front of Quincy, with a menacing, teasing grin across his face. Kuya and Quincy had know each other for centuries and despite their indifference, they understood the other on a level far deeper than Eiden could ever hope to. He kept to himself as he observed their interaction from afar; Kuya’s smirk was tight, controlled and Quincy’s frown was deep, troubled. Topper remained silent as the pair engaged in a heated conversation. Their words hushed yet conveyed with venom. It was evident that Quincy did not agree with whatever words that Kuya spoke. Kuya, a sadist, took pride in his ability to strike fear and suffering into his opponents. Despite this, Eiden believed that he was attempting to help Quincy, in his own uniquely twisted way. Quincy was an enigma; a code that very few were able to crack. However, he was a code that Kuya could break apart and rebuild with ease. A moment later Quincy’s muscles tensed and his jaw tightened, he stood and brushed Kuya to the side. The fox Yokai, believing he was triumphant, graciously stepped to the side with a coy and accomplished grin.
Feigning innocence, Eiden approached Quincy with an optimistic grin. “Why don’t you try some of this cider? Aster imported the barrel specially for today’s festivities!” He spoke, lifting the class of apple cider towards his companion. Quincy’s gaze hardened as he glanced between Eiden’s boyish expression and the alcohol held in his hand. He reached forward to accept the glass, and in doing so, Eiden closed the distance between their bodies and leant upwards, seeking to whisper into his ear. “He likes you so don’t over think it.” Before Quincy was able to respond, Eiden has disappeared. Within a singular moment, Eiden slipped into the arms of Yakumo, gazing from a distance with a grin… How troublesome.

“Come along, (Y/N)! You will follow the mighty Lord Karu as we hunt for berries! Human Slave Lord Pa has tasked us with the mission, do not fail him with your incompetence!” Karu called, his voice raised, as he lifted berries from their branches and carefully slipped them into the quilted basket. In the months following the banquet, Garu had began to visit the research base on a regular basis. He spent endless nights inside the safe confinements of your comfortable nest, as you shared stories of your upbringings and compared your base omega instincts and desires. As your friendship developed into a mutual understanding of trust, you began to scent each other prior to heats and share clothing to carry the other’s scent during daylight hours. Garu introduced you to Karu. Karu was Garu’s alternate personality, created to protect Garu and act as a protective shield against trauma and/or harm. Karu would historically present himself during periods of harm or stress, subconsciously subduing Garu in order to protect him from emotional abuse and physically suffering. In recent years, Karu began to willingly present himself more frequently when he wished to interact with the clan members and their friends. They shared a body but had distinctly different personalities and scents. You could determine who was present before they spoke; Garu’s scent was light and citrus compared to Karu’s which held a deeper earthier undertone of Muguet and Musk. Garu’s innocence was endearing and Karu’s desire to ‘conquer’ humanity was courageous. You could sense that the pair had suffered greatly at the hands of humanity and thus, supported their outrageous claims.
“Don’t worry about me, Karu! I am coming along” you laughed, collecting the berries that Karu missed as he stormed through the forrest and only picked the largest berries that he could find. Despite the mission being shared, Karu enjoyed turning the tasks into competitions. He would push out his chest and proclaim superiority each time Pa crowned him as the winner. You would feign submission and bow down towards his tyrannic reign. A smile tugged at the corners of you lips as you intertwined your arm with Karu’s, resting your head against his shoulder. He tensed for a brief moment before rolling his eyes, a smirk tugging at his lips. “Ha! You are scared of the dark? Do not worry, The All Mighty Karu will keep you safe!” He yelled. He continued to venture forwards, as you allowed him to believe the thoughts that made his heart flutter. His scent sweetened when you gave him the opportunity to display his dominance. He was the type of omega who denied his secondary gender; desperate to conquer alphas and betas alike.
After filling your baskets to the brim, you returned to your cabin. Karu rushed ahead, seeking to reach Pa before you had the opportunity to, in order to showcase his berries and receive the first gushing of praise. Despite his self-righteous display of independence, Karu was weak for both praise and reassurance. As he reached the front door to your home, he hesitated upon inhaling a familiar yet distant scent. Karu reached downwards, collecting a small abandoned basket from the doorstep. His left brow quirked upwards as he turned towards you, showcasing the object decorated with a simple note on top. The crumpled card read the word ‘(Y/N)’ with no direct indication towards the sender. Regardless, your heart fluttered as you lifted the basket into your arms and removed the lid to reveal squirrel meat, fresh vegetables and ice cubes to keep the meat chilled. At the side was a small collection of squashed berries, marked with small paw indents. “Huh? Why did that slab head leave meat at your door?” Karu questioned, interrupting your tender thoughts. He stepped forwards, reaching upwards to gaze into the small box, filled with a small portion of meat. He then shifted his attention between your flushed, dazed expression and the collection of freshly caught ingredients. Failing to understand the connection, Garu presented himself and took control of their shared body.
“Another courting gift?” He questioned, blinking as his vibrant sapphire orbs replaced Karu’s previously amber ones. In response, you laughed and rolled your eyes in a playful manner. “Quincy is simply being kind. Squirrel meat is extremely difficult to catch inside the dark territory. I have told him it is my favourite and besides…” you began, before abruptly pausing. You hesitated. For the past three month, Quincy had ‘anonymously’ left offerings of meat, vegetables, fruits and animals hides at your doorstep. The lingering scent of cumin and cotton flower revealed the sender before the notes began to accompany the parcels. The first note carried the familiar scent of pineapple and sumire, the staple scent that Eiden carried; it was evident that Eiden had caught Quincy in the act and advised the alpha to decorate the offering with a handwritten note. True to his nature, the note was simple, abrupt and directly to the point. His handwriting was messy, uncoordinated and likely due to the forest guardians lack of need to write when he had spent years alone foraging and hunting. He did not need to write to Topper, whom was his only companion during those times.
You turned to Garu with a puzzled, curious expression. “D… Do you truly believe that Quincy is attempting to court me?” You asked. You tone betraying your innocence towards the topic of courting. You had never been courted before. You were not the type of omega that an alpha could envision a future with; you lived for yourself. Garu’s eyes filled with childish wonder as he lurched forwards, wrapping his rough, scarred palms around your own. “Master Kuya taught me that when an alpha wishes to bond with an omega, they will offer gifts of diamonds and gold!” He beamed, his eyes shining with pride as he was able to assist you with your indecision. “Although animal carcasses are not of materialistic worth… I have seen Blade court Yakumo with clay statues and Yakumo court Blade with his favourite meals! Although they are both alphas… Gramps always taught me that you should follow your heart. If you truly love someone, their secondary gender shouldn’t matter! Master Kuya says that the more valuable the gift is, the deeper the love is, but I don’t think I believe in that. I think that, to Quincy, meat is worth more than jewels ever could. So… You must mean a lot to him” he concluded. Your expression softened. Money, diamonds and gold had never mattered to you. You lived a simple life. The idea that Quincy had hunted animals solely for your nourishment caused your inner omega to preen. A soft rumble bubbled deep inside of your chest. “I never thought that an alpha would want to court someone like me…” you sighed as Garu lifted his hand and ran his fingers through your hair. “I think that an alpha would be very lucky to have someone like you!” He returned. You laughed beneath your breath. “I think that anyone would be lucky to treasure a heart like yours, Garu. So never settle for anyone less than perfect” you teased.
As the sun descended from the sky, daylight faded and moonlight lit up the nights sky. Garu stood by the stove, his fluffy tail swayed from side to side as Pa prepared the meal that Quincy had gifted. He hummed softly as you sliced the vegetables and added them to boiled water. You glanced towards Garu as he watched Pa’s movements, purring softly when he caught a waft of the sweet, nutty scent radiating from the squirrel’s meat. Wrapped around Garu’s head was a small cotton towel. You both shared a nightly ritual of bathing prior to your evening meal. Typically Garu bathed first and you followed swiftly behind. “I will be back soon~!” You called as Pa distractedly waved you off.
After you left the kitchen, Pa turned towards Garu with a troubled expression. “You think this ‘alpha’ is good for him?” He grunted. His inner paternal alpha senses screamed at him to protect you; to deny Quincy access to your fragile, innocent mind. Garu hesitated for a moment, gazing towards Pa with an equally trouble expression. “Do you mean Quincy? I think…” he paused to gather his thoughts. “I think that Quincy truly loves (Y/N). I have never seen him show an interest in anyone… He looks at (Y/N) in the same way that you look at him. Like (Y/N) is the only person in the world” he smiles. Pa felt his tough resolve melt beneath the words that slipped from Garu’s lips. “He does, huh?” He hummed. Pa understood that one day you would fall in love with someone and leave your shared home behind. He prayed that you would never forget him; he prayed that the man you chose to love, would never hurt you. You deserved to be loved in all the right ways that you deserved. “I think he’s a good guy… but I wouldn’t forgive myself if he ever hurt (Y/N)… it ain't that I don’t trust him but (Y/N) had been through enough. I guess… I just want to make sure he’s happy” he explained. Garu nodded in understanding. “I think if Quincy ever hurt (Y/N), Karu would make him regret it!” He beamed. Pa laughed in response, ruffling Garu’s hair with affection.
After bathing, you returned to the kitchen with a cotton towel wrapped around your head and a oversized shirt covering your body. You slipped into your chair and took a deep inhalation; the delicious scent of the meal caused you to drool. “It smells delicious! I will need to thank Quincy tomorrow” you hummed. As you consumed the meal, Pa updated you on recent discoveries and Garu listened to your conversation with interest. Lifting your arms into the air, a soft yawn escaped your lips, and you stretched your limbs to alleviate tension. You retired to your bedroom, accompanied by Garu. Inviting the omega into your nest, he slipped beneath the sheets. Your nest had been decorated with plush duvets, blankets, pillows, feline shaped toys and Quincy’s scent. You had weaved his clothing into your side of the nest. As you slipped into a state of unconsciousness, Garu curled into your side and rested his head against your shoulder. A content sigh sounded from you.
The following morning you awoke to the sweetened scent of pancakes filling the air. Turning to your left, you reached for a body that was not there. Your brows furrowed with confusion. Stepping out of bed, you descend the stairs and entered the kitchen. On the table was a freshly prepared dish of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Adjacent to the plate was a note composed of two different handwritings.
‘I’ve been called out to the base. Major discovery. I’ll be back next week’
‘I made you pancakes! Make sure you eat them- Karu says your heat is due so you need to stay hydrated! Master says he needs me to regulate the alters. I will come and check on you once we are back home’
You sat down at the table, humming softly as you consumed the overly sweeten pancakes; sugar was your kryptonite. As you ate your meal, a gentle knock sounded at the door. With your senses heightened, you smelt their familiar scent before you were able to visualise them. Unlocking the hatch, you stepped aside and invited the pair inside. You wore his shirt; you carried his scent. Olivine smiled to himself as he stepped into your home and headed into the kitchen. Following closely behind was Edmond, flushed by the unfamiliar sight of your exposed body to his direct gaze. Edmond was prim and proper; bare flesh and skin caused his brain to short-circuit. Olivine guided Edmond towards your dining room table, sitting down and sampling the pancakes you were eating. Olivine attempted to avoid cringing at the overly sweet taste. Edmond accepted the bite that Olivine lifted towards his lips; Edmond’s palate matched your own, purring at the overwhelmingly sweet flavour. You stood by the kitchen door, observing the pair from a distance. Olivine gazed at Edmond with the type of affection that was revered solely for fairytales; he gazed at him with the type of love that words could not describe.
“How did you know?” You asked, sitting down across from the pair. Their necks newly decorated with fresh bite marks. “How did I know…” Olivine began, his head tilted to the side. “How did you know… How did you know that you were in love? How did you know that Edmond was the only person you knew you’d ever want to be with?” You asked, torn between a desire to dedicate your entire life to someone else and the fear you would live to regret it. You believed that once you bonded with someone, it could never be broken. You would chose right the first time. Olivine glanced towards Edmond, his expression soft as Edmond’s cheeks flushed with innocent embarrassment. “My father was a strict alpha; he followed tradition and raised me by the belief that an omega’s sole purpose was to serve their alpha. When I presented as an omega, I could sense his unyielding disappointment. For years… I felt that I had sullied his name. He never looked towards me with the same pride he once had in my youth. I dedicate my life towards the God of Klein; I sought forgiveness. I once begged God to ‘fix’ me… I punished myself during my heats and never indulged in bodily pleasure. He passed before I was able to receive his forgiveness… His acceptance. Later my younger brother presented as an omega and I pushed all of my self-hatred to the side. I showered him in support. I showed him the love and affection that our father never had towards me. Despite this, I could not forgive myself for my base desire. I continued to punish myself with flagellation… I could not see myself in the same light I did towards other male omega…” he began, taking a deep breath to clam his nerves. Edmond placed his hand atop of Olivine’s to offer support. “Then I met Edmond. His scent felt like coming home. He understood me in ways that no one ever had before. He taught me to love myself. He shared a similar hatred towards his base desires and the idea he was punishing himself, broke my heart… We bonded over a shared hope to overcome internalised hatred and fear. He taught me… that it was alright to be myself… I couldn’t imagine a world in which anyone could love him more than I do” he expressed, smiling as tears gathered in the corners of his eyes.
You felt your chest tighten at the raw display of genuine emotion that poured from Olivine’s lips. “I… When I first met Olivine I had sworn myself towards the protection of the King. I swore my life towards the people of Klein. I denied myself the right to access my omega. I was prescribed supplements to subdue my heat and I lived a life in which I was content with being alone. When the idea of indulging in pleasure arose in the depths of my mind, I increased my dose of suppressants. It was not healthy and I would often faint during patrols. I cared little towards my own well-being. I distracted myself with work… Alpha’s with lower rankings to my own mocked me, commenting on my sour smell and their disgust towards my overall attitude. They claimed that no one wish to bond me, even if I were to beg on my knees…” he began, his face displayed a disheartening concoction of disgust and resignation. “I believed their words. I believed that I was unworthy of love and thus kept to myself… That was until I met Olivine. His genuine display of affection warmed my heart. He made my inner omega feel safe. For the first time since presenting, I stopped taking suppressants and trusted him with my entire being.” Edmond’s voice cracked, as you watched him gaze at Olivine in a way a parishioner would gaze at their God. You could not stop the tear that ran down your cheek. Despite yourself, you began to long for the bond they held.
“I could never have imagined myself loving someone with my entire being, to the point that I could not live without them. I always imagined myself living a life that was not long, but filled with dangers and adrenaline. I once thought that I was broken, because I had never felt the urge to bond to an alpha and birth a child of my own. That maternal instinct did not exist inside my mind… and yet, when I gaze into Quincy’s eyes, I cannot help but long for a future that outlives me…” you began, folding your hands as you gazed towards the ground. Unbeknown to you, Edmond and Olivine glanced towards the other with a knowing smile. “And that terrifies me. What if I lose myself? What if he wishes for children? What if I do not connect with his child? What if I fail at being the type of doting omega that he deserves?” Your voice broke, weakened by insecurity. “(Y/N), you mustn’t waste time considering the what if’s and live in the certainties. I have the sense that Quincy would be content with living the life you wish to lead… and for what it is worth, I am certain you would make an outstanding father” Olivine’s smile brightened up the room, grounding you and reminding you to breathe.
Olivine and Edmond bid their farewell’s, requested upon by Eiden to regulate the gemstone alters, alongside Garu and Yakumo. You returned to your nest, wrapping yourself in Quincy’s scent as you rearranged your pillows and blankets. The signature Marine notes of Garu lingered on the bed sheets. Gazing upwards at the roof, your thoughts became interrupted by gentle knocking against the glass. Slipping out of bed, you stepped towards the window, opening the curtain to reveal the familiar face of Topper, perched with an acorn held between his teeth. Sliding open the glass, Topper stepped inside and dropped the acorn into your hands; it was a gift. Rubbing his cheek against your own in order to scent him, you leant forwards, peering out of the window towards the ground below. Quincy stood outside of your door, covered in a sheen layer of sweat with his shirt opened to reveal his muscular, toned chest. Within his hands he held another box. A smile tugged at your lips. “Join me for dinner?” You called.
As the sun descended from the sky, Quincy stood inside of your kitchen, preparing the meal that he had freshly caught; meat stew with potatoes. You lingered at the doorway, watching Quincy with a distant gaze. Quincy was beautiful in both the inside and out; he made your heart flutter and your cheeks dust with red. Since your initial meeting with Quincy, your relationship had developed from friends to not quite lovers, something in between that neither of you had dared to cross. You glanced towards Topper, who appeared to sense your hesitation. He shifted his gaze between you and Quincy before dashing across the floor, heading towards the adjacent room. You took a deep breath and approached Quincy from behind. “Quincy?” You spoke, your tone betraying you. Quincy grunted in response, spearing you a singular glance. A smile tugged at the corners of your lips at how unapologetically /himself/ Quincy actually was.
“I… I wanted to express my gratitude for the meal you delivered yesterday. It was delicious. Pa prepared the meat for myself and Garu last night” you began, your gaze shifting downwards as you contemplated on how you would continue. Before you were able to speak, Quincy turned towards you, lifting a hand as he pressed the back of his palm towards your temple. “You are warm… Your temperature is spiking. If you are in the stages of pre-heat you should return to your nest and allow your body time to adjust. I have been told that, for a unbounded omega, heats can be particularly troublesome… Rest and I shall bring you, your meal” he spoke. Quincy was simple, he did not say words that he did not mean. He was easy to understand; abrupt and direct. It was something that you admired. “Thank you… Quincy. I trust you will keep me safe.” Your smile warmed his stone heart.
As you vacated the kitchen, Quincy felt breathless. His hands gripped the marble kitchen unit with enough force to crack the surface, should be wish to. His self-restraint slipped with each interaction he held with you; your scent flooded his senses, causing blood to rush downwards and affect his ability to control his instincts. Your pre-heat scent peaked with notes of cinnamon and apple, sweeter and more intimate when compared with your natural flavours. He reached for the discarded shirt that rested atop of your laundry basket; your scent clung to the fabric, leaving the clothed soaked in that signature pre-heat scent. Despite fighting against his instincts and witnessing the disapproving glare from Topper, he slipped the shirt into this pocket. He would never bring you harm, yet required an outlet that did not sully your image or name. You affected him in ways that no other omega had ever been able to before.
Taking a deep inhalation of breath, Quincy prepared your evening meal on to a tray, gently knocking on your bedroom door. He waited until he was given consent to enter, before slipping inside. His breath caught in his throat as he gazed down towards you; your body concealed by a intricate arrangement of blankets, pillows and with his signature jacket draped across your upper torso. Your flushed expression, sweat soaked skin and trembling lips forced a deep growl to resonate from the depth of his chest; his instincts begged him to provide you with relief and yet, he maintained his composure and lifted the tray on to your bedside table. He provided you with nutrient bars, water and fresh fruits. He understood that whilst in the throes of heat, you would be inebriated and thus, he would take responsibility for ensuring your safety throughout. You could not speak, only able to grunt in response. You did not trust yourself to speak as Quincy’s spiced cumin scent caused your abdomen to tense with a unsatisfied ache. Quincy removed his shirt and placed it atop of your concealed body. He took a turn to leave, sparing a glance as you shifted and your eyes met. “… Take care, (Y/N). If you need anything, you know where to find me” he promised. A moment later your bedroom door closed, locking shut to ensure your safety and comfort.
In order to provide you with privacy, Quincy consumed his half of the meal downstairs, distracting himself with thoughts of his future plan to hunt for meat tomorrow morning. He intended to stay the night inside of your home, offering protection until Olivine was able to return from his voyage with Eiden. Your scent seeped beneath the cracks, reaching Quincy’s nostrils and causing them to flare. The scent indicated that you had reached the beginnings of your heat, seeking relief from the ache that consumed your body from head to toe.
The mere idea that you were exposed, stripped entirely of your own clothing, only covered in the scented cloth that Quincy had gifted you… He envisioned your legs falling apart as your fingers desperately searched for the intimate spot that would provide you with euphoric relief… Quincy’s name spilling from your lips as you begged for him to soothe the restricting tension… He could almost imagine the taste of your slick against his tongue… Without conscious thought, blood traveled south, causing his erection to strain against the tight confinement’s of his trousers. He could not control his imagination; he understood it was sinful and yet, he did not want to hold himself back.
He entered your downstairs bathroom, unbuttoning the front of his trousers and allowing his cock to seek relief from the cooling air. He never wore underwear, true to his traditional beliefs. Quincy removed your shirt from his pocket and pressed the cotton against his nose, rubbing the fabric against his scent glands and filling his lungs with your addictive flavour. “F-Fuck…” Quincy wrapped his rough callous hand around his thick, throbbing erection. The harsh leather of his glove provided pleasure to his highly sensitive organ. His eyelids fluttered shut as he created the image of your flushed expression inside of his mind. Your scent indicated a lack of experience; the thought of claiming your virginity, alone, could bring him to orgasm had he not squeezed the tip to calm himself down. He envisioned you on your knees, eyes filled with a desire to please him despite a lack of experience. He imagined your mouth opening as wide as it possibly could, wrapping around his tip and taking his cock down your virgin throat. What kind of sound would you make as you gagged on him? Would your jaw ache as it unhinged itself in order to take his abnormal thick appendage down the tight confinement’s of your throat? Would your face contort with pleasure as he used your mouth in the ways he could with a fleshlight? Would your eyes brim with tears as he carelessly sought pleasure from your willing body? He envisioned you touching yourself, unwilling to wait for his cock as your fingers slipped inside of your slick soaked hole, to offer a cooling relief to your personal ache… His hand moved up and down himself with renewed vigour. He could not stop himself as he moved your shirt from his neck to his cock, wrapping the fabric around the length in order to cover his nether region in your sweet scent. He desperately rutted himself against the cloth, biting the back of his left hand as he thrust into the other. He envisioned you, begging for his cum inside of your mouth… You would struggle. You would splutter and cough… your pretty pink lips stained with his release… With a sharp grunt, he spilled into the palm of his hand, covering your nightshirt in his sin. He felt breathless, gazing downwards at the mess he had made… His mind fogged with a desire to claim you.
You made him believe in love once more; his feelings stretched beyond lust or a desire to reproduce. For the first time since his conception, he wanted to live his life in someone else’s arms. He wanted to mate with you for life… He would never forget his first love, and yet, he wanted you to be his last.
we love you eiden

Another @c4sh4untsth1sb1tch request YOU GREEDY HOG!!!!!!
thinking about my nu actors au again,,,,
TLDR;
all of the in-game events are the basis of movies being worked on by asters production team. aster is a director/producer and morvay is his assistant.
eiden is a costume designer who gets roped into acting when lead actor huey goes missing
the clan are actors of varying fame levels
kuya and quincy are slightly older, veteran actors. theyve seen a lot of the darker sides of the industry, which drives a lot of their actions and attitudes towards the others. kuya has become more self-preserving in such a cutthroat environment; quincy is trying to shield the others from the worst of things
rei is a forgotten success who left acting a few years ago but is slowly making a return, suspiciously after huey's disappearance
garu was a child star who's now been deemed washed up and is struggling to be taken seriously in his adulthood
olivine was an overnight phenomenon who's now struggling with the sudden pressure of being overly-idolised and scrutinised for every step he makes. with his family rejecting him for leaving the church, he attempts to put on the perfect persona that is expected of him, scared that he'll lose everything if he missteps
dante is a new actor and decides himself to be eiden's 'rival' upon first meeting him. hes infuriated by how easily eiden has just been handed all of the success and love that dante has been destroying himself to gain
blade was forced into serious roles in order to gain success, to the point where his job began to heavily impact his mental state. he always seemed stoic and robotic outside of movies. ever since becoming more honest with himself and seeking out more projects that he enjoys and loves, such as romance films and comedies, hes become happier and quite goofy- but also received a lot of criticism and lost a lot of fans for it
yakumo is only able to find inner strength / confidence when playing a character, and constantly doubts his own worth next to others. this anxiety has been worsening recently as his grandparents grow older and frailer, impacting some of his performances. should he give up entirely and find a more stable career in order to support them?
edmond doesnt understand his own desires and personality off-screen, and is often critiqued for coming off as bland in interviews because of this lack of self- as well as it making his fellow actors view him as stuck-up and unlikable
it still ends in polyclan, babyyyyyyyyy
