Shut Up, I Don’t Care
Girl daddy 👨👨👧👧
this should be the most reblogged post on tumblr before it dies
We need to reblog this so much that the post breaks
Do not like
Keep. Reblogging.
If we reblog enough we could save it

how did this lose over 5k notes
I’m glad we cost Yahoo 2 billion dollars.
it’s like a perfectly preserved body at Pompei
Finding this on my normal dash is like taking a stroll through the Park and suddently stumbeling upon the Codex Hammurabi just lying there.
"Bruce doesn't want Damian to be his Robin and prefers [insert another batfam member]"
Meanwhile, this is Bruce having the worst time of his life after Damian asks him if he could skip just one patrol so that he could go volunteer at a hospital:
This man started a whole ass investigation on a Nobel Peace Prize candidate doctor who took Damian under his wing when BRUCE WAS THE ONE TO INTRODUCE HIM TO DAMIAN IN THE FIRST PLACE!
He looked fucking traumatized when Damian told him he'd quit being Robin after they caught the villain they were looking for AND not to mention, Bruce hid a bug in Damian's shoe because he was SO convinced that this doctor was somehow manipulating his son and trying to get in between him and Bruce.
"Bruce doesn't want Damian to be a vigilante because he thinks Damian is annoying and disobedient."
WRONG! Bruce will go on a psychotic break if Damian tries to quit because Bruce thinks Damian is only here for Batman and not Bruce Wayne. And if he's no longer Robin, then Damian won't stay with him and will instead go with his new doctor mentor.
Father and son both have abandonment issues about each other and nothing you'll ever say will change that fact!
They love each other. Bye!
If I had a nickel for everytime a parental/mentor figure for Damian was killed right in front of his eyes, then I 'd have 3 nickles.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened 3 times...
The so-called "heartless demon child" during his prime in the League of Assassins:
Damian always had the biggest heart, he just had to make do with the unfortunate cards he was handed by life.
Damian's intellect and martial abilities are overly underestimated by this fandom.
Like, this was him as a kid:
Always perfectly finishing his tasks, yet never seen as enough no matter what. He never had any other choice than to be less perfect in the eyes of people who didn't even know what perfect meant. He was always asked for more, to push himself even further.
I think the way some of you portray him in fanon (constantly getting beat down and bested by the people around him to 'teach him a lesson' because he's 'annoying') is a blatant disregard of his character.
My sweet boy
"Damian has trouble empathizing with the villains which makes him dangerous" "Damian can't understand basic human emotions and needs his family to teach it to him constantly"
Meanwhile this is him:
Another one of those fanon "Damian has numerous PhDs and is a genius but doesn't know what hand holding means" situations if you know what I mean
it kills me that damian has been living with bruce for at least 5 years and still thinks that he ruined bruce's life by existing
If I was damian and Bruce told me "trust the plan" I'd be like remember the last time I trusted one of your plans with no complaint or objection and the plan was me getting captured and hoping your evil dad from an alternate dimension wouldn't shoot me and then I watched alfred die in front of me and everyone acted like it was me being reckless when i was just following your plan to the letter? Who told you that you were a good strategist they clearly were being sarcastic and you couldn't tell
reblog if damian wayne didn't do anything wrong
I just think it’s fun to have a kid Damian who was widely unlikable grow up to be a guy who is widely likable instead. It’s a fun contrast I think it’s cute I think it’s funny I think it’s interesting and also prolly really traumatizing for Damian idk guys…
It’s like. Yeah you did suck then. But we think you’re cool now. So. Have fun with an even busier schedule because everyone’s asking you to hang out. Yay.
this would ruin damian fundamentally a person for the sole reason that this comes across as everyone would have liked him much better if he wasn’t a victim to abuse
LMAO WE HAVE THE SAME PFP SO I SAW YOUR POST AND WAS LIKE “When the heck did I post this???” 😭
(ghostly-bat)
OMLLL I NEVER REALIZED I HAD AN ASK IM SO SRYY FOR BEING LATEE
But frrrr everytime I see your posts I see your posts I get so confuseddd. I've just defaulted to assuming all posts w that pfp are yours now 😭😭😭
is this a safe space to share my disdain for older brother damian (outside of reverse robins)? something rubs me the wrong way about stories where it's an au where jason or tim just happen to be the youngest or tim or jason get de-aged and now 12 year old damian has to "learn to be a big brother" and "get over his jealously". these kinds of stories always make bruce do a 180 in how he treats whoever is now younger than damian and damian is put into this weird position where the author knows he'd feel insecure and hurt but also holds it over damian to be extra nice and not act out lest he hurt the "kids". even worse when it's not even de-aging but time travel where the time traveller retains their memories and shoves all of damian's insecurities in his face (so basically a 20 year old who is in the body of a 10 year old bullying an actual 12 year old) and when damian acts out, the time traveller is the one to get comforted while bruce doesn't give 2 fucks about even talking to damian. tagged "damian wayne has a heart" like yeah, seems like he's the only one who does. the 12 year old who has been trained as a soldier his whole life needs to learn a lesson about family and be happy for bruce and his kid who he can't help but love more than damian. he's soooo jealous haha so cute. bruce smiled at damian while talking to him after hugging the other kid, obvi damian is just being a spoiled brat and taking out his anger on the kid.
Ohhh this is absolutely a safe space.
I hate this trope too!!! I often see this with Helena Wayne fics tho, but yeah I have seen this with Jason/Tim/original characters too. It’s so disheartening reading a character get praise and love simply for being the cute youngest sibling when…the cute youngest sibling is already there. And he’s getting treated like crap.
I’m not against the idea of Damian becoming an older brother somehow (it’s definitely not a trope I like very much but I’m okay with it) but it gets really weird very quickly when it’s turned into “this character is so much better than Damian because they aren’t a brat etc etc” like yeah, a kid who didn’t grow up in the league is gonna act a lot more polite and cutsie. Obviously.
Reverse Robin aus are great but sometimes they annoy me to no end. I rarely read them because it often makes Damian into some monster of a brother or is a long-winded spiel on how if Damian was the first kid everything would suck cause nobody likes him blah blah blah Bruce would have a difficult time and wouldn’t raise him and Bruce would hate him blah blah blah.
Please I just want Damian to be treated better than being relegated to a spoiled evil step-sister cliche in these aus PLEASEEEE.
Parallels between a young Damian being referred to as an 'it' by his grandfather who planned to possess his body as his new vessel and then years later, an older Damian actually ending up getting possessed by The Devil Nezha after being tricked by his great-grandmother...
This boy definitely has some issues with losing control of his body/senses that needs to be discussed further.
Especially if you also add that one time Deathstroke took control of Damian's body after Talia implemented a remote override in his metal spine.
And I'm talking about serious body autonomy and control issues that also reflects to his mental state where Damian genuinely starts panicking if he can't operate a certain part of his body the way he intended to.
damian makes me SO sad like no you aren’t intrinsically evil or a failure to your family’s name you’re 14 and your dad is mean to you
