I know you want to be “friends” and I guess that’s supposed to make you the bigger person, so sorry for being selfish, but you made me feel like shit and I’m not fucking okay with that. I won’t start smoking to understand you. I won’t drink away my weekends to think like you. I won’t kiss random people trying to fill an empty space in my stomach. And I sure as hell won’t shut myself off from accepting love. I’m not scared of feelings. I’m not scared of being beaten down just to fight back harder, because that is freedom.
