Hey, does anybody know if trying to get into the Waswood to play past Estival events would trigger the Vake attacking my character? I’m pretty sure if I go into Parabola it’s gonna try to kill me (at least that’s how I interpret the text from where I’m at in the story) but I was curious as I haven’t played many Estivals.

I’m trying to avoid getting jumped/progressing here because I want to do Seeking stuff beforehand.

Finally got the itch to give Samuel some sort of ref thing so that I could mention the King of Tales and some of Sam's other circumstantial appearance quirks for artfight... I'm sure this could be neater but I'm actually pretty happy with how all the little pieces came out!!!

Is it socially acceptable to use opaque watercolors, or is that considered gouache?

Drew a bunch of arm poses to serve as a reference for drawing Salem's tattoo. I got my friend to draw it on me and take some pictures to use as references and that turned out to be a fantastic idea! Really helped me see how it would move as the limb twists.

I have finally, finally finished making myself a reference sheet of Salem. They’re the character I mainly play in Fallen London!

A note on the title: I’m using “lover” to refer to friends, animal companions, and a general love for being alive, not just in the romantic sense (though they are into romance, and strictly romance because they’re ace). Though the life part probably comes later, when I’m not putting them through the wringer as much.

I’ve already done some sketches of Salem using their corset for binding. Obviously I was going to take this perfect excuse to make a more finished piece involving that. And I wanted to finally try drawing Io in color.
