Personal post.
I have been demian for as long as I can remember, however I always seem to be drawn to men and men/masc-aligned people in terms of friendships already, and since I require friendship or at least extensive knowledge of someone to even develop an attraction, all the people I have loved so far have been men or man-aligned. I personally don't like using the terms gay or straight, as either implies that I only have a specific binary gender, and using them felt like erasing part of myself. Using demian alone was not specific enough, which was a bit of an issue when some women hoped they could get with me. So here I am, making a few demi flags for nonbinary people that are in a similar boat.
I have no strong opinions on other people's sexualities or identities, use what works for you. I'm not one to police others and I'm too old/too ill/too much of a hippie to fight with people.
