Republic F-84 thunderjet was a reaction bomber manufactured by the American Company Republic Aviation. It was created to satisfy a requirement of the United States Army Air Force of 1944 to have a “day hunting” and flew for the first time in 1946. Although it entered service in 1947, the suffered so many Structural and engine problems that a review carried out by the air force in 1948 declared it incapable of executing any of the missions for which it had been created and was considered to be cancelled. The aircraft was not considered fully operational until improved f-84 d was manufactured in 1949, and the design only reached maturity with the f-84 g model introduced in 1951. In 1954 In Service Variants F-84 f thunderstreak of hunting and RF-84 f thunderflash of recognition, which changed the design of straight wing of of by that of wing in arrow.

Old ass caddy tail lights. Not sure of the year. Found them while looking for a new place to hunt.
Update from last week. Turned out to be a part from a P-57D. May have even found who the pilot was. Just need some time.
Did some research and found a spot where what I think, a P-47 crashed. Searched for over 2 hours before finding this. It's aluminum and has flush rivits common on WW2 aircraft including the P-47. I don't have enough to definitely connect the two yet. But it's a start.
Day two. Same spot as yesterday. Some great finds.
My trade mark. Fill the hole and give it the Garrett Stamp.
First day out swinging in a little while. Finnaly got a chance to check out a new permission spot.
Bonus finds while out metal detecting on Long Island in the great south bay.
My parents got me a great cake for my wedding rehearsal.
Barn find.
Last trip out for the season.
Found a steel penny the other day.
My silver wedding band.
