Random thought but In each timeline, Time haunts Ganondorf.

We see it in Wind Waker, the mighty Gerudo getting flashbacks to Time when he sees Wind- to the point Wind even says that Ganondorf had to have been scared of Time.

Perhaps in Twilight’s timeline, it is the at peace soul of the Hero’s shade who drags down the freshly killed Ganon to the darkest pits for all the death he has brought

And maybe, just maybe, the broken mind of Ganon in the downfall timeline sees the ghostly mangled corpse of a child dressed in green, just out of side but there…watching him and waiting like a vulture

Suddenly remembered that one time I was coming home from the Ren Faire dressed as OOT Zelda, and we stopped off to eat at iHop, and there was a dad with two little girls there. And mentally i was like 'hohoho perhaps the girls will be excited to see A Princess, as I would have at that age' but what happened instead was the dad saw me and his eyes went REALLY wide and he gasped and said "PRINCESS ZELDA??????"

Another AU idea I had while dozing off: The Helmaroc King is descended from Sky’s Loftwing, but was corrupted and forced to serve Ganondorf instead of bond to its fated rider (Wind). When a blood moon brings it back, finally free of Ganondorf, it starts trying to find Wind and a bad time is had by all.
