Despite Yazzieâs internal fears, all Javi saw was his sedate but confident little boyfriend, introducing himself to the Diaz siblings.  âAnd this is Elena,â Javier said with a glare at his little sister, smoothing his shirt down as he took a seat as JC settled back down as well.
âWhat do you do?â Elena said, then grinned at Yazzie.  âThis is definitely going to be the Spanish Inquisition, just so you know. Get it? Because we speak Spanish.â
JC rolled his eyes and smiled at Yazzie.  âDonât worry about her, she gives everyone a hard time as the token straight in the family.â
Elena laughed crassly.  âYeah, the Diazâs all like dick.â
Under the table, Javier held Yazzieâs hand and smiled at him.  âHeâs a musician, a pianist. Very good, too.â
âAs if you know anything about music,â Elena scoffed at Javi, tearing a piece of bread into pieces on her plate. She took one piece and buttered it.  âAnd youâre, um. Like him?â she asked, with a tentative curiousity as she nodded towards her oldest brother.  âWhat can you do?â
âClever,â Yazzie snorts, squeezing Javierâs hand back and looking side-ways at him. âAnd Iâm technically not a pianist. Though, I can play the piano quite well. Iâm actually working a couple of jobs right now. At this coffee shop, and in the kitchen of this really sleek restaurant.â
Oh, okay, so Yazzie is definitely catching something from JC, because no one smiles like that to their brotherâs boyfriend. Right? âIâm, like, super prepared for the hard time though, so feel free to give me all youâve got,â Yazzie says bravely, nodding encouragingly at Elena.
Turns out Javi is all sorts out of the closet. Unlike Yazzie. âUm, fire? I can...â he lifts his fingers, wiggling them around, stimulating flames. âYeah. Are you guys...?â he asks, looking between Javierâs sibmings.
