systems repeat a lot of abuse onto themselves, by the way. this kinda never gets mentioned but alters repeating abuse cycles onto other alters within their own system is *extremely* common. to a point where, clinically speaking, it's almost expected that it's happening. and they can't really know better until they know better, that's how abuse cycles work, but it pisses me off how it just gets completely erased from being part of the system experience. *this* is what we mean when we say people need to stop sanitizing the disorder. sometimes alters treat other alters like shit and none of us know better because we're all used to being treated like shit from birth. simple as that
