I hope everyone is gonna go do something (even if it's small!) to celebrate, especially due to current circumstances around us.
Pride is about love and acceptance, and it's going to be around a lot longer than the people who can't see that.
Short animated film about a family whose lives are measured by a jar of marbles and the mother's final days are approaching.
The Kickstarter for the animated short I'm a part of is launching soon, please go check it out! The team is AMAZING and I cry every time we watch an update of the animatic. This is gonna be an awesome story when it's finished.
Less than a month to go until Fanime! I'm gonna be driving up the coast with a mini-roadtrip and it's my very first time there (and in San Jose at all!) so I'm excited. Just gotta power through the last new pieces of fanart to get my print order done in time... Sakura is giving me some grief.

FandomCon San Jose is the worst convention I've ever been to, and I went to the last Rainfurrest.
I had originally planned to stay for the last day (today) to try and break even with travel expenses, but after feeling so defeated and seeing other artists pack up... I'm out
I feel as though fewer and fewer cons think they should treat their artists well.
People come to conventions to see artist's alley, it's a big draw. The artist alley community talks to each other. We aren't shy about telling others when a con is a bad bet, because it costs a lot of money to show up to one. If you aren't organized enough to keep your artists happy, you've got no business running a convention.
Scamming your artists like this can only hurt you in the long run.
