One of my favorite things about the 3+ years I lived in San Jose’s Japantown was seeing this every day. I’m not religious or even spiritual at all but the history of San Jose’s Buddhist Church Betsuin (and the Japantown neighborhood as a whole) is really fascinating and inspiring.
