His smile draws one from you and you nod to his question, “Yeah, alright. There’s probably somewhere inside we could sit. There’s weird lounge chairs by the pool and it seems I’m mostly the only one who goes there for the most part.” It wasn’t the most comfortable place you could think of, but your room seemed too intimate and you new the pool room was warm and not too busy a spot.
“I have started. I went to the mirthful church for history lessons to start because it was the only place I knew of at the time,” you tell him, unaware very many people know. “And while they’re very nice to me at least, I’m aware that they could have reasons that aren’t entirely altruistic.”
You open the hotel door for him so you can walk inside.
“That’s fine.” You reassure her with another smile, walking in after into the building. It does immediately ease you, a soft shudder down your spine to your legs like a house settling. Then you loosen the scarf around your neck and wait a bit to the side for her to lead the way. You knew there was a pool, but water was rarely a prominent part of your life for it to be all that compelling to you.
It’s only as she continues talking, with you politely listening, that the sentence slams into you with all the subtlety of a hurricane, making you almost miss a step in walking. It is enough for you to pause while she walks ahead a pace or two before you continue.
“The mirthful…ah, I see.” There’s too much emotion coming through in your voice to sound objective about the whole thing, eyes going gently slitted and jaw braced. The neutral face you try to bring is hostile, even if it’s clearly not directed to her, eyes unfocused a little.
But you’re still walking with her, at least. It should be fine, just because it’s the clowns that are teaching her (probably inaccurate) things doesn’t mean it’s Him. That would be too much of a coincidence.
“That’s….yes, I would be happy to clear anything up for you. It’s important to get all sides of a situation–truthfully and genuinely–if you want to make your own decisions.”
Given that reaction, you’re kinda glad you didn’t drop the whole Baron thing right off. It seems clear he’s not had good experiences with clowns... which isn’t that surprising.
You open the door to the pool and lead the way to the chairs sitting on one as you say, “Whale... I guess there’s a lot... But maybe you there’s sources you know that are good for fact checking? Mainly I’m curious about the rebellion and why it happened.”
There was a lot to try to understand and even more to verify facts on.

Meanwhile you, that one motherfucker Gamzee Makara in question, have not been having yourself freaking out of any motherfuckin kind, 'specially not a small or a large one, no you ain't been doing none of that cause this is all fine. You're cool, chill, s'all motherfuckin good.
Nevermind, there's a fuchsia standing in your store's door opening and your pumper's trying ta do that thing where it beats out of your chest, ya know the one? Yeah that one. You're still fine though, you're all kinds of good at acting for strangers, s'easy to give her a small nerve-filled smile of your own and greet her in kind. "Hello to ya s'well, ya must being Feferi, yeah?" Voice didn't even waver once, you've motherfuckin got this.

"That's me! Gamzee, right?" you ask brightly. You hold out the package you brought to him. "I come bearing yummy fish filet!"
Gamzee
Your head tilts, a lot like a curious woofbeast. What? Eridan why did you not give warning or tips to the situation, you don’t know how ta handle this motherfuckin noise! ... Answerin’s probably a good fuckin place ta start though, yeah it is. “Um, yeah,” the words are definitely some kind of surprised and unsure sounding. “And uh, thank you? For the gift?” Just take the package clown, do something with your hands ‘fore you start one of those habits ya ain’t supposed to no more.

You let him take the fish and say, "So! I've heard nothing but wonderful things about you and your baked goods!" You are not totally aware of his discomfort, but you are aware of how awkward this must be so you are trying to make sure not to increase the awkwardness more.

You’re first instinct is to insist that she’s just been hearin somebody’s bias, but you’re also not supposed ta do that anymore so instead you gotta take the kind words. “Um, thank you. S’good hearin that he be speakin good words since I’ve not much...” you cut yourself off, clear your throat, gaze skittering away from Feferi and hands fiddling with the package you haven’t put down yet. “S’nice, anyways. Eri says naught but good of you as well.”

"Hehehe! Yeah, he makes me blush with how sweet he is," you say with a giggle. Seeing he's not looking at you, you tone down your exuberance but still smile as you ask, "I was wondering if you could hook me up with some of the goodies you have that you think are the best."
Gamzee
Now that, that ya can slip into with a bit more of ease, thank the Messiahs for that. “That would be dependin on what kind ya be after, iffin it’s for Eri, than I can be recommendin mango shortcake. It being a nice desert for dinner plans and can be kept for later if not eaten in the one time. I can even be decorin it all pretty like for the season, yeah?” Big chance there, you almost sounded something like confident in your words.

You look delighted at his suggestion since you're going to see Eri after. "Oh my cod! That sounds so perfect! Yes please!" You laugh a little as you say, "He adores sweets. I've seen him eat a whole cheesecake more than once."
Gamzee
“Yeah he does,” he also likes those horrid Cheesecake Factory things, motherfuckin soulless things, taste a straight up sadness they do. You will take any chance ta make him something of actual good taste, with all of the enthusiasm. “But yeah, I’d be pleased ta be making something like that for ya, iffin ya was wantin one today it’d be about an hour or two wait, iffin on another day then we can be arranging an order.”
Feferi
"I'm happy to wait! Hey I've even got some reading on hand," you say brightly and pull out a history book on humans. You'd decided learning about just trolls wasn't enough. You want to understand more people better.

The readin material gets another curious head tilt from ya, but your quickly distracted with your own thoughts of how best ta go about what she’s being wantin. “Alright then, if ya being sure.” Inta the back room with you, leaving the door open so ya can keep an ear out on the front for anybody coming in.
Ya duck back out after a minute, not quite hiding behind the door as ya address Feferi again. “Ya can... um... come sit behind the counter if ya want? Just that... s’not really anywhere else ta sit in here...” back to timid awkward you are.

When he peers back out and offers you a spot to sit, you beam a smile, "Oh thanks! Also, it smells soooo amazing in here!" Bakeries are amazing. You go ahead and take the seat and starts some reading.
Gamzee
“Thank ye,” then you’re back in your back room and keepin all kinds a calm an collected cause you’re not thinkin about the other troll in your store, nope not at all, you’re gettin all your focus on the shortcake you’re gonna be all up and motherfuckin making. Gonna be a miracle when it’s done, you’re gonna be makin sure of it. It’s about an hour before you reappear at the door, shortcake in hands and ready ta be packed away once it’s gotten some kind of approved. It’s a simple design, two layers of cake with a layer of fresh whipped cream and mango pieces in the middle, no thing too fancy until ya got to the top where it’s clear as to why Feferi mighta heard some muffled choice words from the back room. There’s another clear layer of whipped cream but the mango pieces here were cut into little heart-shapes and sea-dwelling things, which was all kinds of fancy and would hopefully be appreciated. “What, uh, what do ya think?” You ask nervously, claw picking at your sleeve once you’d set it down for viewin, “s’it... S’it alright? Be lookin good for what ya wantin?”

You gasp in delight, looking at it with pure awe. "This is so amzing!!! How did you make all these little shapes! The cream looks so smooth!!! Oh my cod!!!" you say even lighting up with your biolumiminesance with your excitement.
Gamzee
Oh, oh you’re not used to such... suchness at work... what do here?? You keep your gaze focused firmly on the counter in front of you because otherwise your neck might burn with your colour and your fins would be doin that flickering thing they get up to when you’re nervous. At least, more than they are right now. “Just, um, just practice... Lot a practice... steady hands,” which also seems like a joke because of the tremors in your hands but that’s not important. “I’m glad ya happy with it, I’ll just wrap it up for ya, yeah?” Your packaging boxes are plain in colouring but you’re pretty sure you might have some violet ribbon in your drawers.

His trembling doesn't go unnoticed and your fins droop a little as you ask, "Are you alright? Am i doing something that's upsetting you? I'm so sorry..."
Gamzee
“What? No, no you’re not, why do ya...?” Oh right hands, tremors, limbs not behavin right for ya. “Nah, nah. Don’t be, be worrying on that none the all. That bein the usual with ‘em. No thing you’ve all up and caused ta occurring.” You’re ruinin this, you didn’t mean to but you are, motherfuck.

"Y-you're sure? I'm... I'm aware that... Being the blood color i am it makes people uncomfortable..." you say looking down and fiddling with your fluffy hair.

... “... Fuck would I care if ya fuchsia?” You’re Derse-born, you give no shits at all about the bloodcaste other than ‘CAREFUL TOUCHING ANYONE UNDER BLUE OR YOU MAY HURT WITHOUT MEANIN’. That thing she just said? None of the sense being made to your ears. “Nah, they just... they just shake... s’normal.”

You feel relieved at his words and visibly relax. "Oh thank cod... It's... It's seems like almost all the time these days that's all people see when they meet me..." you say still awkwardly figiting with your hair, but at least your smile has made a return. "Sorry for just... Hehe... Being so awkward and stuff. I reely wanted to meet you because you seem like a great guy and I'm reely happy that you make Eridan happy..."

You get your hands busy packaging the shortcake for her. “S’ok,” you have no idea what else to say so that will have to motherfuckin do. No wait you’ve got something else you do you do you do “Understandable worry, I get it sometimes too, cause a the whole... purple thing.” Noble colour your ass, ain’t no thing noble or regal in your self. “Don’t you worry, s’alright. And it be nice, meeting yah too, Eri deserves him some good people, yeah?” Definitely deserves better than you but you’re not allowed to say that out loud anymore, not even really allowed to think it but your pan’s your own so you’re gonna. And there, shortcake done and packed away good for taking. You focus back on Feferi, no eye contact cause you’re just you and nervous all the time about that, offer her a small smile. “I hope ya be enjoying it, really was nice meetin ya too.”

You can understand the reputation of the purple bloods having met the baron and been to the church. But you really do sympathize with him. Hopefully it doesn't cause him as many problems. "How much do I owe you?" you ask as you pull out your wallet.

“Hmm? Oh, yeah. Ya ownin [AN AMOUNT] for it all.” There, you’ve almost done it.

You pull out the amount plus a small tip and give it to him with an awkward but friendly smile. "Thanks. Hopefully next time I come by I'll be less embarrassing" Taking the box you add warmly, "Enjoy that fish, Gamzee!"
Gamzee
You return the smile, motherfuck it's awkward in here, as you tuck the money away. "Yeah, yeah thank you I'm... I'm sure I will." Pause, think, scratch a raised line into the skin near your wrist. "Ye, 'till next time then."
Feferi
You head to the door and pause to give him a wave and say, "Take care!" You step out and take a slow deep breath. That was awkward but not bad you think. You think he definitely seems nice and you're glad Eridan has more good people in his life. Maybe you'll be friends even! But for now this is a reasonably good start to getting to know him a little.

No that wasn't a terrible experiencin at all, you still need a few minutes ta just breathe and get yaself back to chill. Just breathe motherfucker s'all good, she was an alright nice and everything's o-motherfuckin-k. Back to work now.
