Diana || Dante & Carmen
Carmen awoke gagged, blindfolded, and strapped to a chair in a warehouse with which she was all too familiar. The smell of gasoline permeated the air, but she knew they couldn't burn her. Perhaps that was why the room was so cold - they knew.
Carmen knew it was of no use to try and escape; the metal chair was bolted to the ground and her wrists and ankles were bound by steel. Even she couldn't get hot enough to melt it without access to her senses. The current question was who had ordered the interrogation and just whom would be doing the interrogating.
The metal door swung open, slamming against the walls of the room. Calculated footsteps approached where Carmen sat and stopped only a few feet away. The person tapped their foot impatiently and suddenly spun to land a roundhouse across Carmen's cheek.
Carmen shouted in surprise and kept her head over her left shoulder as she spit out the blood that had pooled under her tongue. The sting was familiar and the particular disdain with which the blow was delivered all but gave it away.
"Thanks for kicking off my gag, Tawney. Much appreciated." Carmen quipped, turning her head to face the person that had given her such a warm welcome. "I'd know those shoes anywhere."
Tawney's heels clicked as she exited the room, stopping in what Carmen assumed was the doorway.
"She's all yours." Tawney said, nonchalantly, the door closing moments later.
Carmen couldn't put her finger on the scent that wafted toward her as the interrogator walked toward the bound woman. It was vaguely familiar, but rather unusual.
"You wanna take this blindfold off me?" Carmen groaned, swallowing blood soaking her tongue.
