We need to talk about “skinny teas” and how horrible they are for your digestive system. They essentially give you diarrhea and fuck up your bowels so bad that it can lead to serious consequences like dehydration and permanent damage to your body. Please PLEASE don’t believe the instagram posts with girls who are NATURALLY skinny and have lean figures and are getting paid to repost a pre-written caption so that these horrible companies can prey on vulnerable girls and profit off the shitty beauty culture on Instagram. Stay away from them, keep your friends away from them, keep your family away from them. “Detox” teas using natural ingredients are only meant to be used once in a while but these companies promote programs that encourage drinking them everyday for up to 1-2 weeks which can damage your body immensely and mess up your bowel movement and digestive system permanently. Please don’t buy them and definitely don’t drink them.
You don’t need to take anything to ~detox~ your body. That’s what your liver and kidneys are for. They do a perfectly fine job on their own. Laxatives and cleanse dies will do more harm than good.
And if your kidneys aren’t working, you need dialysis, not tea.

Healthy Monday: A Spanish tortilla is like a frittata. Chef Francis Mallmann makes a healthy, spring version with yogurt, fresh mint and sweet peas, baked in an oven until just set. It’s delicious served warm or at room temperature.

I love how literally all of them have salmon and green tea and avocados
The best deodorant you will ever use Seriously. ¼ teaspoon in each pit and you can sweat your ass off, totally stink-free for like 2 full days. It’s a natural anti-bacterial so those little fuckers won’t multiply and make you smell. Plus it’s cheaper and healthier than any deod you can buy anywhere.
Use equal parts of the following:
-corn starch -baking soda -coconut oil -cocoa butter
With a few drops of whatever essential oil you want, for fragrance. Otherwise it basically just smells like nothing. I use tea tree oil & pine needle oil. Cuz they’re MANLY.
Note - It pretty much turns to liquid if it’s warmer than about 75 degrees. If you want to keep it solid, you can refrigerate it or add a little more corn starch.
Reblogging myself again, cuz I still use this and it’s still awesome
This is what I’ve been using for about a year now and it works wonders. Not convinced it works? My fiance is literally the smelliest human being I’ve ever met when he’s been sweating all day. I made him some with tea tree oil and he now smells nice and mint-ish as the end of the day, even if he’s been outside working. Not to mention it’s cheaper, smells better, better for you AND better for the environment to make your own :D

Tips for eliminating period pain
Drink water! The less hydrated you are, the worse the pain will be.
Eat bananas! Cramping can be caused by a potassium deficiency and bananas have lots of potassium!
Avoid salt! Extra sodium can make your cramps worse.
Apply heat!! There are many ways to do this: hot water bottle, pour dry corn, beans, or rice into a sock and microwave it for 15 seconds, icy hot/bengay (use caution), or just a heating pad. This will relax the muscles in your abdomen and ease cramping.
Masturbate! Orgasms relax the muscles and ease cramping.
Exercise! Keeping your body moving is a great way to both get your mind off the pain and ease the pain.
If all else fails, grab a rusty knife and cut out your uterus. Fuck that bitch. All she wants to do is hurt you.
The last tip issss lifeeee😂😂😂
Hurl yourself into a volcano. It will probably hurt less than your period.

some other quick skincare tips
Raw honey as a wash-off face mask really will give you otherworldly smooth skin. This requires REAL honey though, not the stuff in the plastic bear bottle. Go to Whole Foods or the farmer’s market or your local apiary and get some raw all-natural honey for this
Rosehip oil is a life changer. I use it twice a day, 3-5 drops, massaged FIRMLY into the skin (if you just let it sit on top you’ll be orange).
Same token: apply an AHA or BHA toner (Stridex pads in the red/blue boxes are popular), let them sit for maybe 15 minutes, then do your rosehip oil massage. You will get SO MUCH GUNK out of your pores. It’s truly disgusting and satisfying.
Double cleansing/oil cleansing will also change your life. I use jojoba oil to remove my makeup and the gunk from the day, then a foaming cleanser to really get my skin clean. If you’re afraid of putting oil on your skin, don’t be: jojoba is very close to the natural oil your face produces, so it does, in a sense, actually “trick” your sebum production into thinking it’s already done its job, leaving you with moisturized but not OILY skin.
You want to use a cleanser that is as low-pH as possible so that it closely mimics your skin’s natural level of acidity. Hada Lobo Foaming Cleanser is my favorite and it’s really cheap.
Never ever ever use baking soda, cinnamon, or lemon on your skin. They will give you chemical burns, no joke. Don’t fuck with them.
Use sunscreen every god damn day. “But I don’t get sunburned!” You still get sun DAMAGE, though. “But I hate how sunscreen looks/feels on my skin!” European and East Asian companies have you covered. Seriously, wear sunscreen. Every day.
The absolute best moisturizer I’ve ever used costs $13 on Amazon Prime. Snail slime is so good for your face.

its “thighs rubbing together under ya sundress” season
Buy cute, cheap lace leggings. Cut them a little above your knee. Hem them or don’t, but then you can wear them under your sundresses and not worry about how you sit or if your thighs chafe, and if anyone sees them they look cute af so hell yes
Or a little deodorant between the thighs is magical
Also, LUSH sells this dust called Silky Underwear that makes your skin smooth so they don’t stick together or chafe.
I love that we’re all here for each other in this season of need
Monistat has an anti-chafing gel that works wonders and I live by. You can usually find it in the feminine care aisle of any drugstore.
