I need help please; users of heart rate monitors or just knowledgable people in general;
I just got my Polar Heart Rate Monitor yesterday so obviously I took it for a spin. My boyfriend and I will usually go to the park and walk/run a few miles. (mostly walk cause I'm not really good at running/THAT in shape yet) and we were at the park for about 2 hours and my hrm said I burned 1000 calories. Seemed like a lot but whatever, anyway, my heart rate would go up really fast when I started jogging and I don't even go THAT fast. I'd start off at like 125 and be up to 190 in like 10-20 seconds. The only reason it seemed reallly odd to me is cause my boyfriends would only go up to like 160-170 and we were running the same pace. I get that we have different hearts but it just seemed unusually high. and after our workout, (as many polar hrm owners probably know) it tells you how long you were "in the zone" (for me it was when my hr was between 130 and 170)....my in the zone time was an hour and 20 minutes and my boyfriends was only 20 minutes. I dunno, it just seemed really odd I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why my heart rate goes up so high and if this is normal?

Ate vegan for two weeks straight and then ruined it today;
but it was kind of a good thing, it made me realize that I can really do this. I hadn't eaten meat or dairy for a little over two weeks and today I went to Moe's with my boyfriend for burritos and it was free queso day....I couldn't resist. But I felt so shitty afterwards, both physically and emotionally so I really think I could commit to veganism. It's just hard at times, I need advice and foods and recipes please!

That's so true, I never realized just how ridiculous it is cause I usually make my own costume. There's really no non-slutty female halloween costumes and it's bullshit.

Hey vegans, lactose intolerant people or people who just don't like dairy, think about signing this petition! Apparently even with soy milk instead of dairy milk, the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte still contains dairy. Doesn't seem to make sense, does it?
