What does desperation look like? Is it the single mother, trying to make ends meet? Is it the friendless executive, spending their holiday in a lonely corner office? Is it the homeless man you passed this morning? When people are faced with their lowest moments, what will they do to achieve success? It’s 2015 and New York City remains, as always, abuzz with dreams and excitement, but something is about to change. For a few residents of The Big Apple, the coming year will make or break them. Whether they sense it or not, fate has already begun to pull some strings to change their lives. Desperate times. Desperate measures. The countdown begins. Five Boroughs is an original character, sandbox roleplay set in modern-day New York City. Each character will be vitally important, and must be 18 years of age or older.

Question for anyone. Because you were on hiatus and half the people are away, are you going to make like something that brings people into the roleplay. The dash is very quiet and I like it here but i dont want to get an activity notice for rping with one person and then rping with just the admins.

Obviously we are working on this. No one will receive activity checks for not roleplaying enough with several different people because our only requirements are three replies every two weeks... to anyone. This includes writing tasks and headcanons. If you want to talk more, please come off of anon. I’d also like to add that there are more people than ‘just the admins’, and from the look of the dash, non-admins are roleplaying.

The Manderley is a well known lounge located in the McKittrick Hotel, Manhattan. Often, open mics are held, and several artists perform there over the course of the year. This lounge will take you back to the roaring twenties and days of prohibition with its speakeasy style interior and low-lit atmosphere.

The Manderley is located in Midtown. It is a lounge and place of employment.

Liberty Island is a federally owned island in Upper New York Bay in the United States, best known as the location of the Statue of Liberty. Crown access includes the Liberty Island Museum and the pedestal observation level. Expect to see panoramic views at the pedestal observation level, limited views of Brooklyn from the crown level and Alexandre Gustave Eiffel's framework that supports the Statue of Liberty. Anyone visiting the crown must be able to walk up at least 146 stairs on a confined spiral staircase.

Liberty Island is an island located off the coast of Manhattan. It is a tourist attraction and place of employment.
