Emma watched the other in slight amusement as they arranged things to their satisfaction. She couldn’t really see what all the fuss was  about - then again it was her parents coming to visit. Being royal herself had not slipped her mind and she wanted her parents to be greeted warmly in her new home but… still. It was only her parents after all - royal or not, they’d be  happy just to see the pair of them.

“I’m not overreacting,” Ana protested, "I mean look at this place! It’s---it’s just so---inadequate!”

She kept toiling as she spoke: frantically moving books from one corner of the table to another, wiping layers of invisible dust from the exposed surfaces of shelves and stools, and arranging and rearranging the bouquet of yellow-and-purple flowers by the door. Finally pausing long enough to acknowledge the amusement etched in Emma's expression, she sighed and forced herself to calm down a little. "I'm sorry, I just... want things to be perfect. I want them to like us, you know? I want them to like me," she added sheepishly.
