Just a friendly reminder that a lot of medications were/are created with US federal grants. Meaning the money the pharmaceutical company used to develop and research the medication was from tax payers.

Now take into consideration that when research articles are published and that research was funded by US federal grants, it is a requirement to make those articles freely available to the public because the pubic paid for it.

Why are we paying for the research and development of medications and having even less access to them than almost every other country in the world? Why is access to knowledge more important than access to medications?
