Howdy! My name is Skylar - you may have seen me around before, on @outtahp, @vvoidled, @epixene, or other affiliated blogs. While I've only written this dork on Discord before, I'm a big fan of FMA and have had other FMA blogs in the past. That being said, here's some things to keep in mind:
I, the mun, am a 29 year old trans man who's currently looking for a job and thus I may be very busy from time to time
I no longer ship on tumblr, nor do I write nsfw at all; this is more a matter of personal preference, as I've had poor experiences with such in the past and would rather avoid it
Coming back to the FMA fandom after so long is a homecoming for me, but also a reminder of why I left, as at the time a lot of things were going on in my life that made me incredibly stressed out. I'm going to be selective about who I follow and interact with until I'm more confident
Roy has friends in other worlds, but he personally has minimal experience with those worlds or what they're like. His knowledge about the topic is limited but I run a single-verse blog that's open to any fandom
I no longer write face to face for personal reasons, both a lack of time and a lack of interest. I might start a multi-para sideblog but that's very unlikely
I only use DMs for OOC interactions, not for IC. That, too, is simply personal preference. I'd rather discuss how a private conversation goes than use the DMs to write it
Roy is affiliated with @alphaling, which is my old FMA Ling blog. He's from the same verse and so a lot of the background from that blog has an effect on this blog as well. If you want more details on the verse I might be revamping that blog into a muse-run one in the future
Blogstyle, as the description says, refers to a blog with in-character posts made by the muse in question. He is not physically present with other muses, he's just texting/blogging with them. It's common in the UT and HS fandoms, but less so in other fandoms, so I understand some people might not be familiar with the concept
Side note: blog trigger warnings include severe PTSD, depression, war crimes, and a man who's lived through too much hell to ever be normal
For now this is all I have the energy for, but I'll be adding more to this post later, so do keep an eye on it going forward. I'm not experienced with mobile blogs, so I might need to experiment with mobile-friendly formats going forward that are comfortable for everyone. Personally, I'm on browser tumblr more than mobile, do keep that in mind.
That being said, I'll see y'all around!
