"How long have I been asleep??"
"I understand mages are dangerous, however you do no good when you beat, torture, and rape those you are supposed to be protecting," she shook her head at the Templar. Surely that could not be necessary. She'd seen what the Templars had driven the mages too. Not just blood magic, but more then often she'd have a friend who just didn't come down to breakfast one morning.
"No, I saw no man run by. If you're hunting a blood mage, I wish you luck. If not, well then, at least treat them like a person, will you?" she spoke with a simple plea. She was sick of fighting right now.
Alann was certainly taken aback by her words. "I have never beaten, tortured, or raped," he said the word with disgust, "a mage. To accuse me of doing so is a blatant untruth and a false blame. I recognize the magi as people, but I must never stop seeing them as dangerous, that is my job. The mage I seek is not a blood mage, but ask yourself, does that make them any less dangerous? Surely, you are an example of how dangerous a mage who doesn't use blood magic can be."
He ran off in the opposite direction from where he had approached.

"Why no go there then? Are there too many things keeping you here?" Sonya would have traveled more often if it meant she didn’t have to leave those she loved behind. It was hard wanting to be in Denerim with Alistair, Orlais with Leliana or in Amaranthine with her Wardens.
The queen cast off the thoughts, sapphire hues scanning the men and women moving in the streets. How lovely it must be to have so little to worry about while people like herself and even Alann often worried about the lands they had to protect.
"I have a duty to serve here over serving my own wants. Kirkwall may be a giant hole filled with rusty chains and putrid smelling beggars, but even it needs protecting... mostly from itself, to be honest."
They had made it to the man's home, Alann could see the door as they turned the final corner into his neighborhood.
"This is his house," He said, motioning to the door. "I'll knock and call out to see if he is here. If he is, and lets us in, then we will question him. If he is there and does not let us in, then I have permission from the captain of the guard to enter the home as I so choose." He approached the door and rapped on it three times while calling out "Mr. Rutlem." There was no response. He tried again three more times, but to no avail. "It seems he is not here," said Alann, and bashed in the door with his shoulder.
The home had only two rooms, the main room and the toilet. Everything was cleaned out. The home was vacant.

The Templars know this lesson well, friends.

"Did they meet and fall in love as templars?" Sonya leaned forward and smiled in thought. "That is a story in itself. How sweet that you continue their work. It may be possible you meet your future wife in the order. Oh, excuse me, if you are not with a woman already."
There she went being so assuming. The sea filled the air, she could smell the air and knew they were close to the water. It had been some time she had been at a beach. Crossing to Kirkwall on a frigid boat did not count, Sonya had not enjoyed the ride here at all. “Has the issue with Ferelden refugees been resolved since the Blight? I’d think since my homeland is safe Kirkwall will have cleared out a bit.
A smirk grew on Alann's face as the Queen talked of him finding a wife. He made no comment in response to her words. He did, however, answer her question.
"Those who had enough money to get back to Ferelden usually did so after the Blight. Many were not so fortunate, and only had enough money to get to Kirkwall and stay here. Some made it their home, though I don't know why they would want to. I would much rather be in a city like Amaranthine than be in Kirkwall."
has this been done already or
She smirked, holding her hands up and backing away, laughing quietly to herself the whole time.
"Well well. You have some fire in you after all! For the record, I do not threaten your church so long as it stays from me," she laughed outright, the anger on the Templars face was perfect!
"You're an odd one, aren't you?"
"I have not time for your games, Warden. I am seeking someone who has run past, a very dangerous man. You may not like what we Templars do, but you must realize that what we do is necessary. I keep danger from the citizens of this city if I can, and I would like to know if you saw a man run past here or not. It may already be too late."

"Loghain, I've been thinking, and I ask that you do not question my next words. Though we may not always see eye to eye, my love for you has grown beyond the limits of sanity and I find I must confess. I must take my leave, but remember me in your dreams this night."
"Do not play these games with me, young lady. I am warning you—do not.”
This happened.

"No, no, don't worry about it. Don't sweat the small stuff, unless the small stuff created a Blight. Don't want another of those, do we?" He chuckled softly, the other man'd hand still blankly shaking his. Well, at least this was an unusual reaction; if this were normal, he'd never leave the castle. "Right, right. I meant in better clothing. This is hardly befitting a royal welcome, is it?"
"Errrrr... I guess not? I-- uh-- I should be going... I have matters to attend to, you see, Your Majesty. I am sorry to hold you up like this."
"I just did," her face became that of neutrality, her voice an underlying commandment to it.
"Now, Ser knight, you can come back here and speak to me as a civilized person, or you could walk away, to Meredith's wrath that you met and failed to learn anything of one of the greatest threats to the Chantry currently alive," she raised her head high. She knew what she was seen as, Lelianna had told her as much. A mage who had not fallen, an elf who had saved the world. A hero. In this, she threatened everything the Templars stood for.
"One of the greatest threats to the Chantry currently alive?" He turned around and walked back up to the woman for a third time. "Are you threatening the church? Who under the Maker do you think you are? Not even the mighty Hero of Ferelden can destroy the Chantry, nor the very ideas of the Chant of Light. The greatest threat to the Chantry currently alive? Bullshit. You are a mortal just like the rest of us, and you are above no one not willing to give their allegiance to you. You hold no authority over me, oh Hero of the Southern lands, because I do not hold you in a high enough esteem to take orders from you. You do not hold my respect, so no, you may not order me around just because you wish to threaten my way of living."
"How you won the allegiance of those who aided you in ending the blight escapes me, I have never met a hero with less tact or charisma. If you have anything more to say against me or the god I choose to worship, speak them now so that I may never have to speak to you again."
