Let’s say you’re an Agumon. You have a very close relationship with a Veemon. They could be your best friend, your sibling, your lover, your mentor, whatever. As long as you share a bond. This is not only true, but a really fascinating part of Digimon biology! The research into it is still preliminary; but a lot of digital biologists think it has something to do with proximity over time and Digimon "shedding" of strings of code. It's kind of similar to how humans will shed our cells and other humans can accidentally take those cells in. This phenomenon is actually being studied in relation to how the X-Antibody spreads so we can try to understand what it is better! Isn't that cool!
