welcome to the city of lumiose, where i indulge in my love of pokemon to make a miraculous AU out of it (this is just a standalone for fun btw, I'm not going to continue this or anything)

I feel like Marinette's pokemon are mostly self-explanatory (did you guys know Leavanny is known for being a pokemon that makes clothes?). Adrien's are all either single-stage or not-fully-evolved because I feel like it's symbolic; he too is still on a journey of self-discovery, yknow? + absol with the angel wing imagery + minior with the "hiding behind a mask" symbolism. And then morpekos because, you know, hamsters (i think it's technically supposed to be a guinea pig but shhh)

anyway, please don't roast me for my choices lol, but I am interested to hear what other pokemon you guys think they would have! the pokemon they keep in their boxes, etc. there were some others i wanted to give them but I limited myself to only 6 each

(btw... Gabriel trying to get to Xerneas and Yveltal works scarily well. thank u lumiose for being so miraculous coded)

I've been seeing a lot of interpretations of the latest episode and I've found them all really interesting so I decided... why not throw my hat into the ring? I think I have one that's quite different to all that i've been seeing, so.. here are my thoughts :)

The point of the episode, to me, is that Morty is the type of person who upon losing his empathy, turns to sympathy. That's just who he is. The episode isn't showing that Morty is turning into Rick Prime or Evil Morty or anything like that. It's showing that he has the capacity to, but chooses not to consciously.

Like, when he was talking down the serial killer, he sympathized. He didn't have the ability to feel for him, like, physically, but he still did it through logic and his own experiences. Because that's the typa guy he is! He's empathetic, and when he can't be empathetic, he finds a way by being sympathetic. I think a lot of people take the episode as kinda like "ouuuu morty's getting colderrrrr" and while I do think that's part of the point, i also think the episode is trying to refute that by showing that morty is still morty and that he's still retained his morals and compassion even after everything. HUZZAH
