TransID tips are allowed to be asked for?!?!?
Kan we get some transjapanese tips please, like slang and kulture stuff? And/or some transrussian tips also too?
We don't know where else to ask
Apologies , we do not do TransID tips . . We simply repost TransID tips for others to see .
We do not believe we harbor the proper knowledge to give tips , especially not for culture or slang . Although , there are PLENTY of others in this community who would know !
If there are others who do know tips and would like to leave comments for anon , that would be wonderful ! Thank you for coming to us , anon , and hopefully you get those tips you're looking for !
i can do something maybe! for transjapanese tips
do not overuse these slang but they are very common ones i hear! please note i am a chronoteen so a lot of the things i list are teenager like things but i think all ages use them. i hope this is good because this is my first post on this blog.
やばい ( yabai )
use this a lot! just use it for anything. it means something like "dangerous" or "wow!" or "damn". something good happens? やばい!something scary happens? やばい!something embarrassing happens? やばい!you really like something? やばい!this word ends in い so you can say things like やばかった. you can also spell it ヤバい. to sound very native you can also say ヤバ!quickly as soon as something happens.
マジ ( maji )
like "seriously." you can ask マジ? to be like "really!?" or say マジで before a verb to be like "seriously did it". you can also spell まじ. i hear more men say this, but girls say it frequently too!
草 ( kusa )
this is only online, it means LOL. i see it more often than ww but both are used! but to some ww can look older. or even like different types of laughing. 草 is like LMAO, ww is like LOL.
神 ( kami )
something seriously good! it means "god", but when you say something like 神曲 its a seriously good song!
沼 / 沼る ( numa / numaru )
something you are obsessed with! like a hyperfixation but with less of the neurodivergence meaning. anyone can use this word!
there are also shortenings like おつ short for お疲れ様 or あざす short for ありがとうございます that i hear a lot online especially on games
younger people dont use emojis a lot, but i see them sometimes, especially 😻 or 💖 from jirai kei or gyaru. using a lot of emojis can look like a weird old man. its called おじさん構文 and theres even a whole song about it! we also dont use kaomoji a lot like i hear people say but sometimes girls who want to be very cutesy will use them
i also recommend you learn references like memes or culture because a lot of jokes i hear sometimes mention these things!
because there is a lot to learn about the culture, i will just mention a few things like media.
if you like anime, things that a lot of people know are doraemon, anpanman, shinchan, chibi marukochan, shimajiro, gundam, madoka magica, pokemon anime, one piece, jojo.
video games are popular here too, especially online you will see lots of touhou references which is something i am obviously biased towards. try games from popular companies like nintendo and square enix.
vocaloid is also very popular! especially the song 千本桜 so many people love it! i do too. i know a lot of rq love vocaloid
you should also learn our history. that is very important!
if you are interested in a subculture, you should be sure to research their history and slang too.
