for my fellow psychotics who struggle with thinking someone is in their house, a method I’ve found that really works are these guys:

i put them on my front door and anytime it opens they ring. that way if i think someone has broken in or i see someone who isn’t there i can think back to if the bells have rung, and if they haven’t i can assure myself it’s not real. obviously it’s not fool proof, like if you are prone to auditory hallucinations, but it has really helped me calm down in time to avoid major psychotic breaks. it’s a real lifesaver

part of the reason ive kind of stepped away from trans discourse as a whole is that its so fucking exhausting to be surrounded by a bunch of toddlers with an “us vs them” “girls rule boys drool/boys rule girls drool” mindset. all of you are obsessed with being the victim in every possible situation. trans woman murdered? it’s about me. trans man murdered? it’s about me. nonbinary person murdered? me me me it’s ALWAYS about me and my dumb fucking internet bullshit.

i don’t have the privilege to sit on my ass whining nonstop about how he/theys are spiritually rapists or AMABS don’t understand misogyny, because i Actually have to go outside and deal with this shit in real life. i actually have to fear for my loved ones safety. do you genuinely think you are respecting the victims of these horrific crimes by using them as fodder for your immature ass schoolyard arguments??? do you think when you rush to type out “HEH, take that, theyfabs/4channers/whatever dumb shit you want to call each other” whenever you see a life taken is helping anyone.

i know “they hate us all” is sometimes used to shut down important community discussions but a ton of you have swung way too far in the other direction and genuinely, seriously think we do not have bigger fish to fry than losers on the internet saying mean things to you

sometimes i have strong opinions but they're also so inane that halfway through writing a post i'll be like "yeah, this is Absolutely not worth the energy it's taking" and delete everything. but then the opinion is still in my head. and i still want to share it. so within five minutes i go "you know, i bet i can phrase it more succinctly this time" and anyway. you all see where this is going. sometimes i do this four times in a row before i give up on the specific inane opinion and instead write a vague post about the concept of opinions as if that'll satisfy the urge to post the entirety of my inner monologue online. may or may not be relevant to what you're reading right now. and now all our lives have been enriched. you're welcome

i love this kind of rhetorical key-jangling bc it's not like theyfab is like tme/tma or some other acronym or other term where the wording is not immediately clear or potentially misleading. it's literally "nonbinary (derogatory)" like that's it. that's the whole term. "you're assigned female at birth and you use they/them pronouns (and that's cringe)" it's not exactly high sophistication in coded language we're dealing with here

i would honestly have a lot more respect for people who use it if they would own up that their primary attachment to it is that it's an insult and it's fun to make people you don't like feel bad by insulting them. and then maybe do the whole tumblr song and dance where we explain that making people feel bad on purpose for fun doesn't count as a mean thing to do if they're in the wrong outgroup etc., etc.. it's not noble or dignified don't get me wrong but it's a lot better than this silly dance where we have to pretend that there's actually a deep and analytical materialist ideological reason why we need to call nb people stupid whiny little girls

whenever discussing the erasure and lack of representation of trans men in media, it's best not to fall into the assumption that just because the image of a trans woman has a more prominent place in the cultural zeitgeist, doesn't mean they have better representation.
