a reason why i think bat’s the parallels division is bc it plays on the concept of buddha-nature, which is where all things are connected and exist as one

kuukou’s goal is to lead all of humanity to enlightenment, as is his duty as a monk, but to become enlightened, you will inevitably face the end. kuukou represents the end and it’s still difficult to tell what exactly the shape of the end will take lol, but by kuukou paralleling in some way to everyone, he is one with them all and it’s probably how he’ll guide everyone down the path of enlightenment
