(some backstory for my crk oc, feel free to ask questions about anything!)
Once called Witch Hazel, they were 'created' by Dark Enchantress and under the guise of knight of the Vanilla Kingdom by Pure Vanilla's side. Extremely loyal to Pure Vanilla, they defected from their mission and were punished, being cursed to crumble slowly and suffer. As the Dark Flour War raged on, Pure Vanilla hid them away in a tower of the kingdom, placing a charm on them to keep them hidden and safe enough till he could come back and fully heal them. Unknowing of the outcome of the Ancients' clash with Dark Enchantress, they assumed they had been forgotten, spending years alone in the tower even after the kingdom had been evacuated and raised into the skies.
When Gingerbrave and co finally reached the Vanilla Kingdom, finding Healer Cookie and restoring his memories, Pure Vanilla frantically rushed to the tower in hopes of finding something there. He found his dear knight, still suffering between curse and charm, between life and death, surrounded by hundreds of blue and purple flowers all over the room. He healed them as he had promised, but before he could explain anything, calling them as Witch Hazel, they promptly told him to call them Forget Me Not and left the kingdom.
The running away from the Vanilla Kingdom was rough, they didn't know where to go or how to even get anywhere, as they spent their life (as they knew it) in the Vanilla Kingdom and had no real grasp of Crispia. They spent their time wandering, finding themselves in snow covered lands until the cold and wind were too much for them and they collapsed. Waking they found themselves in the Dark Cacao kingdom and being treated as an esteemed guest, as the king recognized them from meetings with Pure Vanilla and his kingdom. They spent a considerable amount of time there recovering and learning more of the world. During all this, Dark Cacao found him fond of them, gifting them the star shaped necklace they always wear. During their stay, Pure Vanilla shows up to try and apologize after searching for Forget Me Not, and the three of them end up together.
-Beast Yeast CH 7-8 Spoilers ahead-
During the trials of Beast Yeast, Forget Me Not travels alongside Pure Vanilla into the Silver Kingdom. On their arrival, some of the Faeries seem almost surprised by them, some of them even whispering behind Forget Me Not's back. Elder Faerie himself even has an air of tension for a moment as they approach. They spend most of their time in the Silver Kingdom feeling like an outcast, as if they didn't belong. Upon White Lily's return, this only continued with Lily avoiding them as much as possible.
During the time in the Spire, Forget Me Not attempts to aid Truthless Recluse despite his insistence that they leave and not come back. Doing this, however, makes Shadow Milk interested in the ~drama~ of it all and enrages Candy Apple for the continued attention they are drawing from her Master. She traps Forget Me Not in a tarot card and in secret tears the card to shreds, claiming that Forget Me Not simply left. In the aftermath of Pure Vanilla's awakening the truth is revealed, and upon returning to the Silver Kingdom he finds a circle of Forget Me Nots and uses his newly found strength to bring them back. Their appearance, however, is not as it was before. They return with periwinkle hair and a pair of delicate faerie wings upon their back, as they had once meant to be. Lily explains then that Forget Me Not had always been part of the Silver Kingdom, they had been friends together and Forget Me Not followed her to the Night of the Witches. When she emerged as Dark Enchantress, she could only assume her dark counterpart stole Forget Me Not away and wiped their old life from them to use them as her own tool.
Now they are learning to live with this part of their life with their friends and loved ones.

Brother. Do you know any damn thing about queerness outside of North America? Yes, Japan (and maybe other places idk) has the same/similar cultural tells for queerness because (1) Western esp American media is a major influence on global culture, and (2) shitty gendernormative and sexist beliefs are worldwide and upheld to varying levels of severity.
Holy fuck. I know people of color don't exist in English dialogues about queerness except as window dressing, but please consider perspectives outside your own. Especially during a month that celebrates the diverse spectrum of queerness.

happy pride!! emet-selch is queer and bisexuality exists! pairing him with a female character does not invalidate his queerness because it is actually possible for people to like more than one gender! (especially ancient beings that can alter their form at will and have no need for any distinction!)
